We stayed at Uluwatu Surf Villas for two three night stays over a long Indonesian trip April/May 2021. We had Cliff Front 1, A suit in Cliff 6 and our friends were in Jungle View 2. They are all quite different and all amazing. Cliff one has three bedrooms, fairly traditional architecture, Cliff 6 suite is a single room suite with a kitchenette, it's own pool and is adjacent to the Cliff 6 villa which is an amazing home that belongs in a magazine. The view from Cliff 1. is something you would take a special trip to go see and instead you get to sit on your patio and have a the sunset cocktail of a lifetime. All the villas I saw had a private pool and there is a main resort pool with a bar and food service which has nice ocean views. The restaurant is excellent with western style food offerings, everything I had was delicious and I will be craving the Latke Eggs Benedict until I can get back. My very picky about his Yoga husband really enjoyed the yoga classes and the surfing situation was next level. There are stairs down the cliff to the 'Temples' break plus 'The Bombi Peak' and 'Secrets' are also right there. Several other good waves are a longer paddle or if the tide is correct a walk down the beach. For the non surfer it's a beautiful beach and you can walk around (at low tide) to Suluban and get a drink at Single Fin restaurant and see the incredible view from there, private pools and the main pool for lounging, a masseuse can come to your villa for a very good price or you can head next door for an interesting spa experience. The Uluwatu area has quite a few excellent restaurants and some interesting shopping, not to mention the temple itself. The Villas themselves are all quite different and the resort website has great pictures of all of them. Believe what you see there and add in a setting you just can't capture with a photo. Sheets are high quality, air conditioners crank out all the cold air you could want, pools are clean and refreshing, staff is very attentive and competent, food is delicious, water is filtered, etc. We worked with Jessica to arrange our booking and she even managed to find me an exercise bike. Even during the pandemic they are maintaining a high level of service and there are enough guests and diners to keep it interesting. I can't wait to go back some day.

From A-Z Uluwatu Surf Villas does it right. My partner and I stayed here for 3 weeks and it could not have been any better. The location of these villas is straight out of a dream, as soon as you arrive at the front you can feel the good vibes and peaceful energy.
The walk from the villa to the beach is hard to put into words. The stairs down to a beach are straight out of a fairytale and it leaves you in awe every time you adventure down. A surfers dream for sure.
The restaurant had incredible food and a fantastic ambiance, and when we didn't feel like going out to eat the staff was amazing and attentive via whats app or a phone call to bring us anything that we wanted from the menu right to our villa
I attended yoga almost every morning during my stay, every single class and teacher at the studio was A+, not to mention the yoga studio itself is unbelievably beautiful with stunning ocean and jungle views all around it rain or shine! Shoutout to Khat, Jess, Sami & Teddy for one of a kind special classes. I am so grateful to all of you.
Saving the best for last...the staff is what made this trip for me. Every person that works here is SO sweet and genuinely kind. We were so impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone was. Extra special shoutout to Yuni, we probably saw her around the villas the most and every time we saw her she had a smile on her face. She is a very hard worker with such a kind and sweet demeanor :)
Thank you so much Uluwatu Surf Villas!!!

Spent 3 nights here in September with 2 other couples (and a 5 year old). Probably the most amazing reception of any hotel anywhere. Panoramic breezy views over the ocean with a nice cafe while you wait for your room.
We stayed in a new 3 bedroom villa, ocean view 4. Set on its own large and private grounds with huge living area. The kitchen was perfect for us as we wanted to cook our food in. We ordered a BBQ service one night and the chef was very experience and friendly.
The saltwater pool is a great touch. Our entire group had an amazing stay and look forward to returning.
The service was excellent. The bed and linens comfortable.

This place is very special. The view and the peace you feel while staying here really steals your heart. As a surfing family the location was perfect and we loved the viewing deck down on the beach and on the cliff top. The gardens are stunning. There is still plenty of improvements to be made to help this place be even better.
The villa was clean but on the first day alone I must of picked up 30 dark long and medium length hairs. (My family is blonde). Single or in clumps. It was everywhere. The next day I picked up similar amount. I just kept seeing hair everywhere and It was really gross.
The floor tiles really need replacing. They look dirty and old in the living area and in the bedroom they are slippery and always dirty as you walk wet feet in at times. When the cleaners came I didn’t notice much improvement to the floors. It doesn’t help that they didn’t have a vacuum. They need to do better.
The food was ok. It was hit and miss and can take around and hour to come.
We stayed in 3 bedroom Cliff front villa. It is getting a little old and worn out and could use a refurbish for the price that is being charged. We paid $1150AUD a night. Mainly the tiles as mentioned before. Mosquito nets over the beds would be great and a large water dish is needed to clean feet after walking across the grass with wet feet from the beach.
What a wonderful experience seeing all the monkeys in the afternoons, unfortunately they stole phones and sunglasses off different neighbours 2 days in a row with them standing right there. At check in the hotel needs to prior warm guests about these mischievous monkeys. All in all, if I was inside or eating it was average but when I was outside I was blown away and loved it. If they can work on these changes I would love to stay there again.

The service level is really poor and it seems that the management really don't care about improving it. There is a lack of investment in the property and it really shows. In times of COVID the site must be super clean and staff wearing face masks conveying their noses.

Dear Saint Halo, At Uluwatu Surf Villas we follow the strictest of health safety procedures, including temperature checks and hand sterilization of all arriving guests. All our villa staff and on-duty managers follow strict mask and gloves use procedures at all times. Additionally, our naturally healthy open-air environment, caressed by the Indian Ocean trade winds, makes Uluwatu Surf Villas one of the safest accommodations in Bali. Rest assured, we will look into this report of staff not wearing a mask. Perhaps if you could provide some specific details of the poor service during your visit it would help us to identify the staff involved and we can use your feedback to improve the experience we deliver to our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon. Best regards, Management

Dear Mr Leo and Mr Arrow,
For months, to be more specific from February 2020 when Covid19 struck us, you have neglected my mails and WhatsApp calls. But funny enough you could answer email in a second when Mrs. Jessica was at cc in the mail.
This is not not how you treat a customer.
Shame, shame on you and your management team!
It’s time for Uluwatu surf villas to show their real colors and their morals.
I have helped you with a big booking. Mrs Jessica did not only book for her own family but as well she brought 2 more families to book at yours over Christmas - I think it’s more than appropriate you step up and show your service minded hospitality that you so highly speak about.
Instead of continuously neglecting answering mails and blocking of WhatsApp messages/ calls please answer mail and make the only proper thing- refund the US1000 $. It’s a real shame how You treat your business and on top of this it’s a family owned- you are dragging it all down the drain.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary 25 years marriage. As my husband is a keen and experienced surfer we wanted to stay where there was good surfing. Uluwatu Surf Villas is a beautiful resort overlooking some of the best ocean and surf views. My husband was able to use the resort’s surfboards , they have a decent collection of boards to use. He surfed the breaks below the resort which were the biggest he’s ever surfed. Our stay here was amazing and we had such a wonderful time. All the staff here were very friendly and lovely and always happy to help us with booking drivers etc. On arrival to our surprise we were upgraded from Jungle View 1 to Jungle View 2 which had our own private pool, we were in heaven. It was a lovely appointed building/typical Javanese architecture and the interior was well appointed with beautiful furnishings. The resort gardens are beautiful with mini temples . We then moved to Cliff Front Villa 1 for the last 2 nights as a treat as the ocean views are spectacular. The CFV 1 was 3 bedrooms with 2 outdoor bathrooms and well appointed kitchen and best of all the private pool and outdoor setting which we enjoyed using. We ate at Mana Restaurant every day and the food here was amazing ( we are big foodies) and great selection of wines and cocktails etc. On our last day we booked in villa massages in the afternoon followed by an in Villa Classic BBQ at sunset which was superb. The BBQ was cooked on the poolside by a chef and staff presented the food and decorated our outside dining table with flowers and greenery and candles - it was a romantic sunset dinner! Sunsets here are just divine.
We highly recommend Uluwatu Surf Villas to stay at.

I came to bali for a little getaway , i have loved every moment at the surf villas uluwatu, the team is extremely attentive and big smiles, nothing less then good vibes .
The villa i stayed in was private with ocean view. Well equipped with coffee tea making station, minibar and a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I had a private pool as well, out door shower and massive tub. Their bathroom ameneties are well selected. I generally dont like hotel shampoos, but their products provided at the room were so nice i actually went and buy them for myself.
The food at their restaurant "Mana", was very good and very innovative. Plant based options , wide selection of around the world classics with their own twist.
Can only highly recommend the uluwatu surf villas. Or at least try out their reataurant ...
Big thanks to the the uluwatu surf villas team , you have made the stay special.
Special thanks to rocky the little dog, what a little rock star you are ...

This is the most special, relaxing, and all around amazing resort in Uluwatu. It is (steep) steps away from one of the best surf breaks in Bali. It has picturesque views, beautiful villas, and an amazing restaurant! The best part about this place is the staff - they are all incredibly genuine, kind, and attentive. They elevated our experience more than anything! A beautiful property is incomplete without the right staff and USV truly cares about guest experiences. A huge shout out to Theo, Ano, and Londra for taking care of us throughout our entire stay. They were ready and willing to make sure we were happy and had all we needed at every given moment. These gentleman created an unforgettable experience and are the reason we will be coming back!

Couldn’t recommend Uluwatu Surf Villas more highly. The hotel grounds are a tropical wonderland and each villa has a unique layout in a private garden setting. Most importantly the service is world class and everyone we encountered was over the top friendly, professional and available to help. Nopi and her team, the front desk and the kitchen were notable for providing exceptional service. The breakfasts are over the top, with each dish being created with amazing flavors that would make it a destination on its own. Five stars to the chef.

I was there in May, slept with the windows open in my villa and didn't have any issues with mosquitoes.
Probably depends on time of year, where the particular villa you're staying in is positioned within the resort, and your individual propensity for getting bitten?
