Everything was perfect ! Incredible place, everything is super organized, and from the moment you arrive you feel well received! I can recommend planning activities for each level of surfing, sessions in the right place according to the level of surfing and tides! The accompaniment of the instructors was very pleasant and very helpful! Arriving from a surf session to have breakfast or lunch in the dining room to share with other guests, another thing to take into account, the delicious food, always fresh, and with different options for all tastes! The cooks even knew your name and greeted you with familiarity! The cool pool for a good rest during the day. The room was very clean and comfortable in very good condition, with a nice view of the gardens and at the same time if you closed everything it was dark for a good rest! Later in the afternoon you received a retro and watched your videos! And to end the day they took you to a location with the group to enjoy a good sunset! When traveling alone I am very cool because you feel safe and accompanied and with people who have the same objectives, Sufear!!!! I work as a manager in a hotel and I can only say good things about this place!

Fantastic place to stay! The staff are friendly and always helpful. The surf coaches are great in helping all levels improve their surfing. And the food is delicious. The location is quiet and chill but still close enough to walk/short scooter ride to plenty of shops, massage, yoga, cafes and nightlife. They even arrange dinners to Single Fin and put on a pizza night for everyone staying there. Stay here and improve your surfing and enjoy everything in Uluwatu.

The surf camp was nice and quiet, good for a surf camp when you are exhausted from bug days out in the sun and water.

The surf guides we absolutely wonderful especially Randi and Scotti. Each local surf guide made sure the conditions were right for our level of surf which eased a lot of nervousness in unfamiliar waters and their spirits were always so high.

Food was absolutely delicious and very accomodating for Gluten free dietary requirements.

The only negative was the expense of the surf camp. Already for a week we expected a lot of surfing, assessing the photos and discussions on our surf performance however none of that was involved in the cost. It was a few we found out later was to be paid on top of the accommodation and food.

However, overall a wonderful experience. Thanks Padang Padang. Until next time!

Dear Padang Padang SurfCamp,

we stayed with your for a week in October to learn Surfing for the very first time. We absolutely loved our stay with you so much. The location, accommodation, breakfast (Banana Pancakes and Smoothie Bowls in particular) & Lunch, Pool & Work out area, hammocks, organised evening activities, massages and staff members were just absolutely awesome.

We did not miss anything and also loved our surf classes :-). We would absolutely come back if we are in Bali again.

Thank you for everything including helping to get lost items back as soon as :D

Best wishes,
Kiersten & Victoria

Had a really wonderful experience staying as a family, with a 14yr old daughter.
It’s a beautiful camp nestled in a peaceful setting but still only a short walk up the road to the main street.

The surfing with Richie and his team of surf instructors was definitely a highlight. Skilled, knowledgeable and with super friendly personalities, they keep the sessions fun whilst still really focused on helping you improve and catch your best waves possible. I’m sure when I’m back home in the waves I’ll still be hearing Richie’s instructions in my head 🤣 and that’s a good thing.

Kat, the camp host was equally wonderful. Warm, friendly and welcoming, Kat made us feel like part of a community from day one. She organises an optional activity each evening, generally involving trips to various locations to witness the truly beautiful sunsets followed by an evening meal at unique local venues. These offer the perfect opportunity to meet and engage with like-minded folk of all ages and from all over the world, as well as giving the experience of visiting local places we would not have immediately thought of. She’s a wealth of local intel and more than happy to find information for any questions, she’s also pretty handy on a surf skate and runs surf-skate sessions some afternoons.

The food at the camp was another standout feature. Breakfast and lunches were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, showcasing fresh, local ingredients. Many options to choose from and all high quality.

Daily massages are available and these were amazing after the surf sessions. Sarah really is magic and these, along with the daily yoga helped me completely unwind.

Overall, this surf camp is a perfect destination for anyone looking to improve their surfing skills while enjoying a beautiful setting, fantastic company, and amazing food. It really has been such a memorable experience. It exceeded all my expectations and I can’t recommend it highly enough! We stayed 7 nights and could've easily stayed on longer. I am definitely planning on coming back next year.

I stayed 10 days at the surf camp. It is the perfect all-round package if you want to surf a lot and chill in an amazing camp.
I have also definitely made progress in my surfing skills during the time. No matter which surf teacher: you always feel in good hands, they motivate you and you feel safe and get lots of tips. The size of the groups are just perfect, they took us to different surf spots in the area and all guides did an amazing job.
In addition, you always get delicious and very fresh food with various options.
Overall, I felt very comfortable and would come back anytime.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Padang Padang surf camp.
52 year old, solo female traveller here with some surf experience from many years ago (a bit of background info)
Prior to arrival, I was a little apprehensive being a bit older and definitely not as fit as I used to be. I'm happy to say, everything about the camp was fantastic, the food was amazing, a nice balance of healthy, abundant and super tasty (Poke bowls, smashed avocado, fruit salad with granola and yoghurt, smoothies bowls, tuna steak and veg options)
My room (I booked the budget room downstairs with fan) was very comfortable, nice aesthetics and clean.
The grounds of the surf camp are well maintained, leafy and very peaceful with plenty of space to be alone or socialise.
The other guests were fantastic and a sense of camaraderie was felt amongst the group (everyone encouraging each other in the surf, no matter their abilities).
This is not a party camp, rather a place to really focus on yourself and surfing.
My surf coach Ritchie, was really encouraging and pushed me to progress without pushing me beyond my capabilities. All the staff I met at the camp, whether surf coaches, managers, kitchen staff, housekeeping were wonderful.
I really have no complaints and was already looking into returning before I'd even left the camp.
I highly recommend Padang Padang surf camp.

I’ve never been to such a friendly retreat on all my travels, from reception staff, kitchen staff, cleaners, security, drivers and all the surf coaches. I felt totally at ease and this was clear to see that this was the camps philosophy and part of a lovely constitution, and was organically embraced by other guests from all over the world.
Simply putting it, I have never seen so many chilled individuals always smiling.
Beautiful set up. I will be back!

My friend and I stayed at the camp for 1 week. We improved our surfing so quickly and had so much fun. Randy was our couch at the start and we couldn’t recommend him enough, he made us feel safe and confident in the water and we were catching green waves on the first day! Scotty was our other couch and he was so lovely and taught us so much. He pushed us to build our skills and we could start to catch bigger waves! When the beach was busy with other camps, we could tell we had the better guides and we were getting sooo many waves all the time!

The camp itself is a beautiful space and nice and quiet. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food was amazing.

The only down fall is the surf lessons/guides aren’t included in the overall price of booking the surf camp which we didn’t realise so it ended up being pretty expensive overall. But we had an amazing week and met awesome people and hung out with the locals all week!

There is a new photographer there who is so lovely and got some sick shots with the drone and being in the water which is so worth it!

Overall, couldn’t thank Randy and Scotty enough for their amazing skills we will miss them!!

Had the pleasure of staying here recently for a week. The place is in a great location. Close to good restaurants and cafes. Only a 10 minute walk to Padang Beach.
The resort itself is fantastic. Rooms are spacious and clean and well appointed. All the staff are super friendly. The pool area is lovely and relaxing. The dining area is great.
I was able to the breakfast and lunch included and that was great as well.

But you really come here for the surfing. While I was there the waves were very good. Possibly a bit big for my level but that’s surf. So you get to go surfing with your guides twice a day. They take you right to the break according to your ability and hep you in the surf each session. The guides were brilliant. Special mention to Jerry and Randy who were sensational guides and top blokes too. If there’s waves they will get you there. We surfed a variety of breaks.

It was great to share your trip with your fellow travellers at the camp. There was a real community feel about it with organised bbq’s and outings to local bars.

It’s hard to find too any negatives about the place. Only issue I had was the playing of loud music in the afternoon occasionally while I was trying to rest after early surf starts in the morning. Bit of courtesy would have been nice. It was loud. But if that’s the only negative I’m finding it’s not too bad.

All in all I can’t recommend this place highly enough if you want a surf trip to Bali. If you’re a beginner or experienced this is the place to go to.
