I had the opportunity to make a last minute trip to receive the new year at the beach. I just found a room at Sugar Beach Hotel, then travel on Dec 31 from San Jose with my Family. Initial service by phone was great since frontdesk team help me a lot on finding this last minute option. Place is very...

What a discovery! Completely the opposite of Tamarindo's crowds and rush. It is a paradise for it's tranquility and location. Great beach where tranquility is always granted, great pool, beautiful grounds, the rooms are well integrated in the environment, many animals seen too (monkeys, iguanas, birds). The staff is very kind and attentive. Since it is small, the staff remember you...

We had been staying at Sugar Beach hotel from January 19 - 28 and one additional night from January 05 to 06. The hotel is a precious little diamond in an otherwise very busy and at Tamarindo itself also very touristic area of Costa Rica. We loved the beach and back, where you can start today by walking in the...

Our family of 6 (mom, dad and 4 girls aged 13-21) LOVED staying at Hotel Sugar Beach! The room was amazing; we had the 3 bedroom beach suite. Even though our luggage was delayed for 2 days by the airline, we were able to have fun, buy toiletries, and we went to a nearby store to buy clothes and swimsuits....

Can only recommend this place. The staff is very kind, the food in the restaurant is the BEST I have had in Costa Rica. Very delicious and freshly made, and still it's reasonably priced. Go for the continental breakfast. All that fresh fruit will keep you healthy full for quite a while. Only downside is there aren't enough sun beds......

Guanacaste Province in Costa Rica is beautiful and untouched. This region is warm and humid but your surroundings in nature are like none other. Sugar Beach is one of those must see places of Costa Rica. Sugar Beach is a private beach and only open to those staying at the hotel. Rooms are bungalows with air conditioning. The beach is...

Dear Johnny0110, Agree, Sugar Beach is one of those must-see places of Costa Rica!! Guanacaste has stunning beaches in the coast and we are blessed to be in Sugar Beach a beautiful secluded spot with stunning sunsets and immerse in the nature. Since there is only one entrance is almost like a hidden treasure on the Pacific Coast. Happy to...

We had a 3 night stay at this hotel and to put it frank we loved it. Rooms are quite nice, aircondition and fridge, pool area was clean, staff especially kind and helpful, beach almost private (although no beaches are private in CR). Local wildlife include birds, lizards and crabs. The on site restaurant was surprisingly not high priced and...

This place is great. The staff is nothing but friendly. The grounds are gorgeous. This place is off the beaten path from Playa Flamingo and about a 20 minute walk to playa Portrero. it was nice having a rental car, but you could get by with shuttles or taxis although I didn't see a ton of Taxis in this area....

Sugar beach hotel and their beach were amazing. The restaurant was great, the staff were super hospitable and professional, and everyone's suggestions were spot on (except for NUMU restaurant, wasn't a fan). We went on an adventure with Carlos Wachong in the jungle which included zip lining, horse back riding, mud baths, hot springs, and a great lunch. The places...
