The old bakehouse is a little gem in Colyton. We booked for a two night stay and it was lovely. The room was spacious and very well presented, clean and warm. It had all the amenities you would need as well as wifi and a tv. Frances was a very gracious host who showed us round, instructed us on breakfast...

this was just a short getaway, for a fossil hunt in Lyme Regis. The Old Bakehouse is ideally located in a small village 15 minutes from Lyme. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfy, cosy and spotlessly clean (bedroom 4) Colyton as a village was very quiet which enabled my 9 year old grandson to go on bike...

this is a very comfortable B&B and Frances is wholly professional and a very thoughtful hostess. Breakfast were a joy - especially for walkers - and the pub immediately across the road was ideal for an evening pit-stop. We're delighted to recommend the Old Bakehouse.

Everything that you wanted or needed Frances was there to help .many thanks,we will be coming back in the near future. As for the pub the kingfisher which is on the door step the food was excellent and delicious

Frances greet us with a nice cup of tea took are case to our room it was like coming home . After a good nights sleep you get one of the best breakfast you can get with a nice smile from Frances . Hope to go again soon .

Traditional English B&B that has all the things that 21st Century guests need these days! This place is immacualtely clean and the welcome is beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived after a 3 hour drive to the moment we left, Frances and her team couldn't do enough for you. The Old Bakehouse is lovely, with so much attention to detail making our short two night stay very pleasurable. The breakfast was great, completely spoilt for choice and it really set us up for our day....

It is our seventh year staying at The Bakehouse and we always receive A* treatment from Frances. She is a superb host and makes you feel so welcome, going the extra mile to accomodate the 'Runners' dietary needs. Discovered this treasure online and could not have been happier. The service was second to none, we arrived late due to a delayed train, but our hostess greeted us with a very warm welcome, making us feel right at home, and even made us tea, despite there being tea-making facilities in the room. We were made very welcome by Francis, and shown to our lovely room.
