We stayed here in one of the family cabins. When we arrived the cabin was clean and park presented well. The pool is amazing (one of the best I have seen in a holiday park). If you want a relaxing holidays with not all the hussle and bussle of campervans, caravans and campers then this is the park for you. It is also quiet and only moments to the beach. The living area and outdoor deck were spacious.
The only downside is the kids bedroom is a little small for four to sleep with minimal storage, cabin 6 doesn't have air con and it is a twenty minute drive into Forster. Apart from that a nice place to stay and relax.

The park was located on the beach, so it was easy. There are many cabins, ours did not have air conditioning, but we opened the windows and it stayed quite cool. The cabin was clean and comfortable, there was plenty of space, I was pleasantly surprised. The pool area was great and there are free BBQ's too near the camp kitchen. The games room was under renovations so we couldn't use it and the spa was cold.

The park's location is fantastic and it is smack on one of the few dog friendly beaches in NSW, but dogs are banned by the park owner?!?!? The park is beach front, but the surf & ocean villas are army style cabins tucked in behind caravans and campers. The lady manager is totally obnoxious and other staff were about as people friendly as a weasel with piles. I believe this family park is owned by the Roche Family, but is managed in absentia by roaches. Best park location/worst management. What a shame!

We just got back from a weekend at Hallidays, lovely park, expecially for the kids with great access to beach - just one thing to say and that is shame about the staff at this resort - VERY unfriendly, unhelpful - this was my second and LAST time to stay here as i feel a smile and friendliness costs nothing - twice I left reception area in bad humour due to the staff - never again!

A group of us camped on the powered sites here over Xmas-New Year. I had been looking forward to this holiday all year and was a little disappointed with the park.
The sites are small and we felt crammed in with our tent, shade, car and trailer.
The amenities were often very dirty and floors were dangerously slippery. Definitely a 'wear thongs in the community showers' affair.
The camp kitchen is good in theory, but one night the oven took 1.5hours to heat up some frozen chicken nuggets for the kids. And I saw all community bbqs out of order some nights (lucky we had our own).
During most of our stay a Christian mission group had set up a huge camp at the other end of the park and would 'visit' our site daily which was very irritating. They would also walk up and down singing loudly and on one occasion woke our yound children up at 3pm.
The pool area was always busy, but the kids really enjoyed it. The playground was excellent, as were the daily craft activities.
We were a 2min walk from the beach which is gorgeous.
The kids had some fun, but we won't be going back here..

Arrived early was allowed to check in early which was great as we have a young baby. Office staff wasnt the friendliest. Cabin clean and basic, location amazing, perfect spot for our older children.
Cafe could have been staffed better, and office staff when leaving could have AGAIN been more friendly. Wouldn't stop me from coming back, maybe next time I will be over friendly so they can't help but smile?? V

This park was our last stop on a three week holiday. It is a 5-10 min drive north of Forster which is a lovely seaside town. The park is right on a beautiful stretch of beach. There is a small shopping centre a 2 min drive away. Facilities at park are excellent - I would imagine that it would be a great location for families during the summer months however we were there mid-winter. Cabins were quite spacious however furniture was a little worn in our room. Our only criticism would be that cabins did not have any air-conditioning. We would have used it for heating !!

Ignoring the obvious, bad management and great position ... lets not forget the dark matter in the swimming pools, duck waste I believe. I was amazed to see large numbers of native ducks roosting in and about the swimming pools in the evenings.

Furthermore, it would appear the trees are all on the other side of the fence. The Beachfront would have to be the closest thing to a WW2 concentration camp in Australia. No trees, just rows of huts, mowed grass, trimmed hedges, derelict caravans and patches of worn-out turf.

The best of location, the worst Big4 caravan park parading as a resort.

At Easter time last year we were visiting Tasmania and we decided to take out a Big 4 membership. Our family was really happy with the cabins we stayed in during that time.

We decided to use our Big 4 membership for our holiday this Easter, 2013 - this time staying at Forster. We chose to stay at the Beachfront Holiday Resort. It has been a disappointment for our family for the following reasons -
Value for money - for the 4 nights the cost has been $1,116.00 (inc $40 Big 4 membership discount) for 3 adults and 1 two year old in an Ocean Villa.
Our family are really keen tennis players so choosing this park with a synthetic tennis surface was one of our big priorities. Before arriving at the park, we had pre-booked the tennis court each day of our stay. On inspection of the tennis court on our first day of our holiday, we found that the tennis court was in dangerous disrepair.

We note the follow were not up to our standard during our stay -
On arrival at night, the entrance lights were not working - we found it difficult to find our destination in the dark.

Our villa had the following deficiencies -
broken screen door
outside chair broken
gas stove ignition not working
kitchen setting rusted
one lounge has tears and both lounges very worn
hot water - below expectations.

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay with us during Christmas. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. Although Christmas is our busiest time of year, we do ensure that staffing levels are increased to accommodate the number of guests we have. Our smallest powered site measures 9m x 9m . Our amenity blocks are cleaned three times a day during the Christmas holidays. The Christian mission has been at Beachfront for more than 20 years and in the majority well received by guests. It is great to read that your children enjoyed the activities we try extremely hard to source to keep our younger guests entertained. Once again, thank you for your feedback.
