Detailed Reviews
This hotel is in a great location, with a proper ski in and out when there is snow. Our room had great views of the mountains. It is a shame the huge TV unit was at the end of the bed, we could have admired the view from the bed too.
Breakfast was okay, it is a shame that the staff were setting up for dinner after some people left meaning you couldn't sit by the window to admire the view. The bar area is lovely.
The ski lockers are in another building which was fine. They are not heated.
The spa looks amazing. One of the biggest pools we have seen in the alps but it was pointless cause it was freezing. Nobody went in it in a week and the hotel was full. Such a shame.
This hotel is great value for money and could easily get 5 stars from us if they rectify some things.

We ate dinner at the Timberlodge restaurant Sahurday night. We had to book a day ahead. They were offering a set 3 course menu that evening. Onion soup was not as good as the onion soup at Ferme d'Oz. Fish main course was pleasant, seced with a vegetanle puree. Deserts were unusizl but pleasant. Wine was reasonable, even offered 500ml bottles. Good to see a hotel and new restaurant in Oz station.

We had a double room, amazing views from a wraparound balcony having views of mountains and village (rm 410). Really nice pool, bar, and restaurant, friendly staff. Excellent location with ski lifts and ESF outside. Will be back.

Timberlodge hotel is very central located in the small but cosy town of Oz en Oisans. Rooms were good, and the friendliness and service of the employees was outstanding. Employees were pro-active and always a listening ear and willingness to help.
Breakfast was fine, and the room where the restaurant and breakfast is located do have a magnificent view. Only minor remark is that the walls in between the rooms are a bit thin, so you might hear some noise from your neighbours.

Stayed for a week in early Dec 22. Took a double room and a twin for our adult children. Excellent rooms, outstanding value for money, really kind and fun young team. Resort was not really open yet so we had 4/5 dinners at hotel, food is good (this is not haute cuisine). Breakfasts were excellent. Location is ski in ski out. First time we had stayed in a hotel for skiing, we normally rent an apartment, this was a revelation. We wish the hotel and the team a really successful 22/23 season and thank them for their kind, generous and pleasant hospitality.

Timber lodge is located right off the Poutran lift. Would be ski in ski out but for the lack of snow in Feb! Lockers are located a few doors away really easy with room key. We had adjoining rooms with family; worked out perfectly. Pool was a bit cold sauna amazing.
Didn't eat here even for breakfast as we wanted to get up to ADH early to make the most of our 5 days.
Staff seem attentive.
Rooms are well equipped with a hairdryer.
Enjoy and book you won't be disappointed.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Oz. Right next to the ski school drop off. Fantastic views over the valley. Ample breakfast. Really nice staff who were helpful as we needed to have adjoining rooms for children. There is a bar with a roaring fire in the evenings and good restaurant on site.
Highly recommend a visit.

What a fantastic place to stay! We were metres from the ski lifts. Friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, great swimming pool. Large rooms with stunning views down the valley. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. We will be coming back next year. Thank you for a great stay.

+1
I am afraid that I am not able to recommend this hotel due to our experience with noise at night whilst staying here.
Firstly I must say that the staff all get a 5* review. They couldn’t have been more helpful and communicative if they tried. That is from the management to room service… thank you to you all for being so lovely.
Unfortunately the following made our stay not as it should have been:
Firstly the pool. We chose this hotel and paid the premium over others based on the lovely pool. Succinctly it was cool to get in and in general only the kids braved it! Every adult complained to each other about it and it was really disappointing. The excuse/explanation was that the government had a rule that pools couldn’t be heated above 28C - there is no evidence of this law on the internet..
The pool was at 26C - pretty chilly for a recreational pool in the mountains !
Next the towels - the bath towel was really small! It only just worked on my 7 year old. A small moan but I have never had such small towels in a hotel! Take your own if you are going.
We chose the hotel and resort as it was sold as family friendly. It really is a lovely little resort which I can certainly recommend but if you stay in Timberlodge, avoid all rooms that end in 04, 05, 06 and 07 as you will be directly opposite a small bar - which (as we unfortunately discovered) has an outside balcony area and very noisy drinkers until very late! (Nb. Does depend on the night and time of year I suspect)
The management were excellent after the night we were kept awake until past 2am and moved us immediately to a 02 room and that was ok. (Until NYE night when a group of French students decided it was cool to start a party at 2am… in the room next to us …again the management did deal with it swiftly - but it woke us all up, I honestly feel there is a lesson to be learnt and a far stricter notice that corridors to be quiet after 10/11pm)
The bar area and fire is lovely and the bar staff were all really great. The restaurant is a lovely setting but personally I found the food a little expensive and bland. Breakfast was really good - simple but sufficient.
I do feel bad giving a negative review as the staff were so great and the hotel location was so fantastic…but this was our experience - I do think we were unlucky with the noise as we were over NY … but even so, out of 6 nights, I lost 2 nights sleep!

I went to Timberlodge with my girlfriend at the end of January. We really liked this hotel, especially the service and attentive staff. The receptionist, the bartender and the waiters, everyone was very kind to us and smiling. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable for a short 1 week stay. We took half board and the food both morning and evening was very good!
The bar and restaurant room is also very pretty with a fireplace area and several spaces to relax or work in complete tranquility.
The swimming pool, sauna and hammam areas are really pleasant at the end of the day, after skiing.
In short, a faultless hotel in which we will return without hesitation.
