Hello, we were here end of May. The nature is beautiful, you can see flowers everywhere, peacocks and different birds. The spa is nice most of it is free, you can use 3 pools - 1 outdoor (very hot), 1 smaller indoor (also very hot) and 1 big indoor (this one was to my likings, as it wasn’t that hot and you can swim in it), there are two steaming rooms, 2 saunas that can all be used free of charge. You can get fresh towels every day! The massages are paid, but that’s understandable and are great, I had back problems and Peter sorted me out, also me and my boyfriend tried the wine therapies and we felt really well. The wine tasting was great and the woman was very friendly and easy to talk to! The food was also great along with the perfect care of Ivo, however a little too pricy, but hell you live only once. The room was nice, wooden style felt like I was at granny’s but no window and a bit mold in the bathroom. Apart from that the stay was great, everyone was friendly and the spa was relaxing!

Generally the complex is good. I liked the spa center, among the best ones - half is free, half is to be paid extra, number if wine treatment procedures, which is a benefit. The room in the renovated part was average - nothing really special and poor construction work, obe can hear neighbours above. The view towards Balkan was really gorgeous and rustical with the cows infront. All the furnishing was too wooden to my likes. As I visited during covid limitations, what I didn't like was the proforma side of them. On one side we were to be sitted outside, take food with gloves, wear mask inside the restaurant on the other in the spa area people were hanging one over another. 5-8 people in souna, while written 3, but no control. Not enough heating stations for outside restaurant areas, even the alacard restaurant missed any of them. The top restaurant appeared to be closed at the days we visited, even though advised everything is open. The Starosel restaurant was good, but cold, Bufet dinner was simple 3-4 serves, quite basic for 28 pp. Overall nice place with serious adjustment needs towards hospitality.

I was in the complex for the first time on 17.04 Saturday, in general the complex itself is not bad. BUT 1. the rooms are like a grandmother's village with a squeaky floor, uncomfortable beds, poor lighting (it is very dark in the room), a cold bathroom and small towels, and when you take a bath everything becomes wet. 2. To go to the spa you need to gather courage to go out in the cold, to cross the complex and to find yourself in the crowded pool and spa area. The pool was not warm and clean enough. 3. For dinner, whatever we ordered was cold - meatballs, potatoes .. the menu is poor: 4 types of salads and only fried or grilled things, nothing interesting or authentic for the area. We were not provided with a wine list, there was only bottled wine, and we are in a wine complex. At the breakfast, which was on the menu (you choose between 4 options), the mekis warmed up in the microwave - I saw it with my own eyes. In conclusion, I can say that a romantic experience is not possible at all, possibly for children to watch peacocks and donkeys.

I am very disappointed!!! Last week I visited Wine and Spa Complex Starosel with very good memories from my last stay ( a year ago) I reserved a two bedroom apartment. The reservation was taken only verbally by phone, which rang me a bell, but still, having good experience from my previous stays I took the word. What we received as an “aparthotel” was far, far from what I expected. There was only one bedroom and very small space for the kids to sleep. The fireplace was not loaded and no stuff to help me to prepare it. Welcoming- terrible , Service – terrible, adequacy for handling simple situations- terrible. I am very disappointed of what this place became. A lot of potential of the place is WASTED! I do not recommend!
