My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while travelling for our homeymoon.
Check in was smooth and quick. The hotel is just 2 minutes off the main road so its
nice and quiet. Close to food and shops and only a 15 minute walk to seminyak village.
We had the roof top suite and the photos on their advertisement is exactly the same once you see the room. The room was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was a tv, bluetooth speaker, and that delicous breakfast that is served to your room ant your desired time between 7am and 11am. There is also car service that will drop you off anywhere in seminyak till 8pm.
The staff here were amazing. We mostly dealt with Meissa who was spectacular, but all the staff here were friendly, welcoming, and accomadating.
Honestly my wife and I travel quite a bit and the service here was the best we have had in our travels.
I would recommemd this property for sure!

Cicada Luxury Townhouses far exceeded my high expectations with their detailed and personal service, strict cleanliness/thorough COVID safety protocols, and their beautiful grounds that felt of true luxury.
Safety: Right now, the most important decision-making factor for me is whether or not a property puts in place adequate COVID safety protocols to ensure everyone's health and safety.
Service: The one word I feel best describes the service at Cicada is attentive. Upon arriving at reception, we were immediately greeted by friendly faces who welcomed us to the property after our temperatures were checked. The staff at reception spoke near fluent English and were so attentive at learning both of our names so they could address us directly throughout our entire stay—a personal touch that I found charming and considerate. They made sure we were taken care of, even proactively sending a porter to our villa to help carry our bags out as it was raining during the time of checkout.
Villa: We had the Junior Suite, which was spacious, clean, and contained a private pool long enough for us to do laps. The staff, upon hearing this stay was meant as a celebration, went over and beyond decorating the entire villa with flower petals leading up the stairs to the bedroom and bathtub. This gesture truly struck a chord, as it was a suggestion on their own accord, rather than ours. Having two stories and an entire separate living/dining room and kitchenette made our stay feel expansive and as if we could nestle into our temporary luxury home. The bed was plush, with some of the most incredible pillows I've ever laid my head on. The villa truly felt like a high-end property.

We have stayed here before and it was excellent. It was great this time until it was time to leave. We had arranged for the hotel to transfer us to our Kuta hotel. On a number of occasions I had mentiioned that we were flexible with the timing if their driver was busy. Bali has very limited testing (via Jakarta?) for coronavirus, indeed there seems to be a policy of not testing. It is unbelievable that Bali has no cases when more advanced countries like Singapore and Malaysia report many. If cases are not identified the virus will spread unchecked.
Accordingly we avoided taxis as much as possible during our trip, the drivers work long hours and share the car with their passengers, without a glass partition. As we were leaving we were told our driver was waiting. it wasn't the expected hotel vehicle, the hotel had hired a local taxi with an old car. it's a disappointment to be transferred in a substandard vehicle but much worse shortly after we departed the driver was coughing all the way to Kuta. He was clearly ill, should have been tested for coronavirus and isolated. As soon as we got to our new hotel we showered and washed our clothes. We have been OK for one week so far, another week should see us in the clear.
This driver was constantly coughing, the hotel staff would have noticed whilst he waited for us but they still put us in the cab and didn't let us know they were not going to transfer us. They kept it quiet until the baggage was loaded and of course (not knowing the driver was ill) we didn't want to be rude to the driver.
This is an expensive property, the attitude to the safety of guests is unacceptable. Avoid.

We would like to apologies if we fell short this time around. With regards to the limited testing in Bali, we also share your concerns but unfortunately this is not within our control. What we have done is lobbied through the proper channels that are available to us to plead for more intensive testing in Bali. We did arrange for a local taxi company for your transfer due to our in-house transport is only available for Seminyak drop-off shuttle service at the moment. We are a small boutique property and therefore unable to handle all the transports using in-house vehicle. The taxi company is by Blue Bird, the largest taxi fleet in Indonesia and a publicly listed company. It has an excellent reputation for safety and comfort. We could confirm from our investigation that the vehicle that was used was a Honda Mobilio, a 7-seater, which is usually used to transport guests with luggage in Bali. Our security did have a chat with the driver and at the time the driver appeared to be in good health and showing none of the symptoms that you mentioned. The COVID19, without a doubt, had impacted every elements of hospitality industry in Bali, hence we've been taking preventive measures by maintaining the health and hygiene of all the staffs at our property while also stepping up our efforts to keep the property as pristine as possible. This location was the last stop of our holidays and surely was the peak of it.
The rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful and never misses a chance to help.
For sure to highlight is the very good food in terms of price and quality perspectives. The free of charge hotel shuttle within Seminyak saved us a lot of time and kept us from negotiating with local taxi services.
Whenever we left the room to go the the city, our room was cleaned an put into order on our return. In the evening they even put some incenses outside of the room, which made it even more cozy.
Make sure you book rooms with the breakfast as it offers something for every kind of taste with an amazing quality.

The hotel is located in a quiet but central location where many shops, restaurants and the beach can be reached by a short walk. We stayed in the 3BR-villa, which is very spacious and stylish. The villa in general is in good condition and is equipped with a large private pool, a living room with a fully furnished kitchen (except dishwasher), two bedrooms with private bathrooms upstairs and one bedroom with private bathroom downstairs. Additionally there is a toilet adjacent to the living room. A very nice feature of the villas is that they are equipped with a water dispenser that also provides chilled and boiling water and they also come with a big fridge and freezer. If this hotel has a weak spot, it is the food. Breakfast is included and is brought to your villa between 7 and 11 am and has to be ordered the night before. However, the time slots are limited and if your requested slot is already occupied by another guest, you have to choose a different time. While this is understandable due to the size of the hotel and it's facilities, it's just not 100% perfect. Also the breakfast selection is limited and the portions are rather small. There is, for example, no choice for a European kind of breakfast with bread, cold cuts and cheese. If you order cereal with milk for breakfast, the milk will arrive warm, which tastes horrible and is also concerning if it's fresh milk. There is a good and surprisingly cheap selection of in-room dining items but service is very slow and most of the food arrived lukewarm when we ordered it on 2 different occasions. A thing that I didn't like about the villa is that there is a shortage of power outlets, especially in living room and kitchen, which can be bothersome if you stay there with up to 6 adults. Also I would have wished for more towel racks in the bathroom. You can't, for example, dry 2 towels at the same time but the bathrooms are surely spacious enough to install more towel racks. All the bathrooms of the 3-BR villa are open, which is nice but also bothersome at the same time because they are impossible to cool and also open for insects to come in. The 3-BR villa can be connected to the Junior Suite and when that room was occupied it was quite noisy. Another thing that I found a little disappointing was that the private pool, although big, was perceptible colder than the main pool by at least 3-4°, so I ended up using the main pool most of the time. That is not a big problem since the hotel only has 10 villas, so the main pool is mostly empty anyway and the entrance of the 3-BR villa is right next to the main pool but still it felt like kind of a waste. It's a bigger problem if you stay in the Junior Suite for example, which has a (colder) private pool as well but no direct access to the main pool. The service is top notch and the staff tries their best to accommodate any request.

Our stay here was amazing! We arrived at 2am after a 24 hour journey and we were absolutely stunned, it was the best hotel room we've ever stayed in. We had the junior suite, which came with a private pool which was lovely. The staff were always helpful and very friendly, and the shuttle service was very handy to getting to the local resturants and bars in the evening.

This is our 4th return visit to Cicada. It is located a 10-12 min walk to Seminyak Square or Cicada provide complimentary transport from midday. It is an oasis in the bustle of Seminyak. We stay in the 1 bedroom villa that is very spacious, furnished in a contemporary Bali style. It has it's own plunge pool however, the main pool (25 metres) is hard to beat and creates a beautiful centrepiece to the complex. The in house menu is yummy and the staff are helpful and deliver a high level of service. The highlight is there are only 8 or 9 villas so not a big hotel vibe. My partner and I had an amazing stay at Cicada Luxury Townhouses over New Year's (2024-2025), and I can't recommend this place enough! We stayed in Room #8, which features its own private balcony and pool, and it was everything we hoped for and more.
Firstly, the hospitality was outstanding. A huge shoutout to the wonderful staff — Hendra, Mona, Deni, and everyone else we encountered. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, always offering warm, attentive service and making us feel right at home.
The room itself was pure luxury — spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately maintained. The half-indoor/half-outdoor bathroom was a standout feature, creating a unique and tranquil experience. Cicada is a great choice for a stay in Seminyak. Just a few minutes walk from the beach and many good restaurant options, but located in a quiet side street. The townhouses are very spacious, well designed and well maintained, and the main pool area is very tranquil.
Breakfast is served directly in your room with a good range of options to choose from. The in-room massage service is also excellent! The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, they go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy a very relaxing and luxurious stay at Cicada.

Hi, our Executive Studio, the one with plunge pool is indeed getting sun during they day. However to get more suns we suggest you to use our 25 laps main pool which is located right in the complex.
It is about a 15-20 minute walk but the hotel has a shuttle and will drop you anywhere in the Seminyak area. We have stayed here about 5 times now and love it!
