This is the second time we have stayed at Montigo Resorts and were generally very happy with the stay.
We booked two adjoining rooms overlooking the family pool and were lucky enough to be on the ground floor so we could simply step out to the pool area. The rooms are large as are the bathrooms and are very comfortable. A word of caution - the hot water in the bathroom is VERY hot - I forgot to mention this to the staff while we were their, but hopefully they see this and make adjustments.
The resort is very well kept and, despite its proximity to Mississippi and the main road quite peaceful. All the staff are friendly and make an effort to remember guests.
Our kids used the kids club extensively and loved it. The staff in the kids club and so kind and caring towards the kids and it really is appreciated. The fact that it is included in the cost of the stay is a huge bonus.
The restaurant at Montigo is good and a good place for the odd lunch or dinner. Food is good and well priced for a resort. Breakfast is excellent and the range and quality of the food is high.
The pools are good, but the family pool is way too warm and not refreshing. It also had algae growing in the grout below the water surface on the bottom of the pool and looked greenish at some points. I am sure it is safe, but it was not appealing. It also needs shade as for most (all) of the day it and the area around it is in direct sunlight.
The location of the resort is handy for walking into Seminyak and also the cafes and restaurants around the area.
We had an issue when checking out which I was disappointed about. When we checked out the amount charged was lower than I expected for 2 rooms. I did query the amount and was told it was correct. While being driven to the airport I received a call via WhatsApp to tell me there had been a mistake and they had charged us only for one room. After some discussion about room rates (where I discovered that I hadn't understood the tax/service charged on the rooms) I paid for the second room using my credit card over the phone.
After we had been back home for over a week I received a WhatsApp message requesting that I complete and form and send images of my credit card as the payment was done without the credit card being present and their accounting people didn't like it. So not only did I have to pay more than I expected due to fees/taxes, and be chased up over the phone for someone else's mistake, but I also had to bother around printing out and signing forms for the sake of their accounting.
I wouldn't say that it spoilt the stay, or that it would stop me staying again, but it wasn't great.

The hotel location its just simply perfect location in the heart of the vibrant Seminyak area which are easy to reach by walking distance nightlife, healthy life, beach club its just a few minutes away from the resort
The room was spacious we are always greet warmly by all of the staff they have pool just perfect for us who very lazy to going outside
Breakfast its superb... the host always pay attention to all my need. I will be back soon for short gateaway. My friends and i just feel fueled from the hassle of the work life an have great reunion time

Location Very well located in the trendy area of Seminyak . You can easily walk within minutes to many cute shops , street cafés , spas and everything you can think of . Its within 5 minutes walking distance to go to Potato Head . In the night you can easily find bars and some famous dining venues. So its very convenient to go around .
Ambiance When I stayed here, although as soon as I step out from the hotel, its very vibrant and I could wonder around , it is the same as soon as I step in to the hotel, I felt like I was being in oasis . Very peaceful , with manicured garden , neat and tidy hotel buildings and beautiful pools .
Room My room size is spacious with oversize bathroom, luxury bathtub , rain shower . Heater system was perfect . The room is really clean ! Bed is super comfy . Towels are clean and bed sheet are spotless, clean white . I really had a good sleep and enjoyed the bed so much . It has a good sounds proof .
Service During breakfast , The service was immaculate, efficient and engaging ( but not too much either ) . I believe the staffs are well trained and have the passion for what they do . We had couple of wine and food during the day on the pool and staffs were very attentive, food was good . . I accidentally met the Sales person , Johannes and he was really professional and I can feel he enjoys what he is doing which is a good reflection of good management . When I had a breakfast, I met the GM, Ms Helena and she was very engaging and naturally loves speaking with guests and sincere listener
Food & Drinks The breakfast was superb. Its quality and taste were super good. Oh, they also have restaurant at the front by the road, opens 24 hours, its really cool . Price is very reasonable
Spa My friend tried their spa and she liked it very much and price was also reasonable
I hardly find anything to complaint or not happy about . If i must pick one, perhaps , they should provide Dutch Pillow ( guling ) in the room, but this is a personal preference which might not be relevant for others.
I highly recommend this hotel for traveler who either stay alone or with friends or even with family .

We stayed with our older children 18 & 20 years old for 8 nights in inter-connecting rooms. The hotel is in a brilliant location to all our favourite bars & restaurants like Sarong, Kynd Community Vegan, Mamasan, Metis, La Lucciola, Botteiga Italian, Potato Head, Woobar, Kaum etc etc all within a 5-20 minute walk away. The hotel staff go way above any service we've received whilst travelling through Bali over many years. Though the hotel is not trendy it is very clean, modern, rooms in the new wing are spacious. Breakfast has a wide variety to cater for vegetarians. It has 3 pools which we found the best pool to be the back pool in the quiet area as it was much cooler more luscious Balinese tropical more authentic, found the middle pool too warm & concrete needs more trees/plants. The staff memorize the clients names on a daily basis very positive vibes. The hotel service is up there with any 5 star hotel weve stayed at so thank you for a wonderful family holiday! I love this resort! The staff was amazing especially Eka and Suandari with service, they had my garlic and ginger for me every morning. Great conversations too. Our pick up from the airport with Ripa was informative. Security guard Paul made sure we didn’t leave anything in our grab and made sure when we order a grab they knew where we were going. Love this resort, will definitely go back! It’s also very clean, I have no complaints. Can’t remember all the staff names but EVERY staff did an exceptional job! Definitely felt comfortable and safe.

Montigo Resorts is definitely a must! The staff were soo friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay with them a memorable one! They had swan shaped towels on the bed to greet me and my partner for our anniversary and also put flower petals in the bath for us when asked. Could not recommend this hotel any higher. Also shoutout to Rippa, Sandy, Charlie and the reception lady (forgot her name but the one with glasses) who made the trip amazing! Yous are the real MVP

I went to Montigo from the 24th to 28th of Jan with my best friend. We had stayed at Montigo when it was relatively new back in 2016 and again in 2017 so it has been a 6 year hiatus. It's still a great place to stay being near enough to all the food places we love ( many cafes and restaurants outside) , spa ( bodyworks is down the road) and a 15 min walk to Seminyak Square. Potato Head is next door!
Prior trips I had booked the Junior Suite Twin, this time I got the Premier room in front of the pool. The room was clean, comfortable, the beds were firm ( not too soft), the pillows were alright but due to my neck issues, I bring my own pillow so I use their pillows more as a bolster.
Take note that the bathroom and toilet are all together in the same vicinity so if you are travelling as friends and not too comfortable of sharing the very visible bathroom whilst someone else is on the loo, then this is not for you. LOL
Their buffet breakfast is quite good for the price, a congee area, soup noodles, live egg station, beef and chicken sausages, bacon, fried rice or fried noodles, tomatoes, beans, fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads, some cheese, 4 or 5 different pastries.. quite standard fare. Their coffee is freshly brewed such that almost daily, my friend and I will have 2 cups each. There is also a French toast station.
They provide a welcome bowl of fruit and had a lovely message to welcome us back to Montigo again as we are repeat guests. It was a lovely touch.
The cleaning was done daily by a very nice gentleman so everything was always well maintained which is def a plus point. :)
reception is as always friendly and helpful. My friend needed an extension cord to use her laptop and they provided it to us.
THe ONLY feedback I have is not about the staff but the room had no table and chair ( which was outside on the balcony) and no other wall plug besides only one on one side of the bed. Usually there are wall sockets on each side of the bed in majority of the hotels I go to so this one resulted in a bit of an inconvenience. The USB on one of the sides was also not working. So my friend had to use her laptop on the tiny ledge near the TV using the extension cord we got from reception as there was no wall socket for her to plug in her laptop. Although she could have used the table and chair at the balcony, it was not convenient to do so esp if one had to do work calls. THIS is my only, if you could call it, negative. Other than this, everything was GREAT in this hotel.
I always wanted to try other places but I tend to come back to Montigo with my friend as I love the location and the service. it's all a winner. you can't go wrong.

It was rated as one of the best family friendly places to stay in Bali . We hooked it up on the luxury escapes. I think we deserved more vouchers instead of what we are offered for the price that’s all I will say about the cost. Music at the night club behind us was banging of its head until late on the Saturday night which was ridiculous. Customer service was a bit slow . Even just waiting to receive a beer was too long and wasn’t ice cold. Bintangs are a flat beer and need to be cold as ice . Everyone that’s located lying around the pools should be monitored and asked if they require a drink or food. Place had 3 pools, lacked umbrellas for shade at all 3 . Garden bar was nice and quiet and middle pool was ok , need more from the waiters but. Maybe some pool toys for kids to float about on . We hit up the Day Spa massage and it was on point . Resort Reception were good and do help every way they can with questions asked. But they need more change if we are buying from their little shop thoe. Buffet breakfast included was ok, needs better coffee options and bigger mugs , it was also stinking hot in the eating area . Rooms were spacious and well cleaned everyday . There is a local Laundry joint around the street corner, comm bank atm up the road and walking distance to some nice places to eat and drink and not to far from the beach. Unfortunately kids club wasn’t a winner, was hoping kids were going to winge they wanted to go lol but Negetino . Prices for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were ridiculous. Place isn’t a 5 star Resort and they are not the best cock tails in Bali . Groundsman were exceptional, beautiful well kept gardens. Few things could make this place exceptional , hopefully their working on it .

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights with my family. Really love how the staff treated us. The service was excellent. The room has everything that we needed.
Their kids club was amazing. My son (who is almost 2 years old) loved to stay and play there. They offered babysitting service for 100k per hour, which honestly, really worth it.
Their food was also good. I couldn't complain anything about it
Will definitely be back soon with my family :)

We stayed here and the room felt very private and secluded. I loved the private pool as we were not staying in the main building but in the adults only "quiet area." The restaurant was very good and even had options for gluten free. The staff were absolutely lovely and so kind and accommodating. I can't say enough about that. They remember your name and greet you by name every time you walk by. Every single one! If possible arrange for them to pick you up at the airport as they will do that for $30 and the airport is a total zoo. This was such a nice service. The only thing that was weird for me as an American was there was no door on the toilet area. It was next to the shower and both were in a small area separated by a wall from the bed but it was still open. So be prepared for a lot of intimacy with whomever you're staying with. Or else use the facility next to the main restaurant. That's what I did. Go to Ku de Ta at sunset and sit on the bean bags and watch the sun go down with a cocktail. Then stay for dinner. Make a reservation. Also La Lucciola. Both high end and very nice. Mano was a nice casual beachy vibe for good food and drinks on the water as well. All within walking distance. There's a donut shop a few blocks away called dough dolls. They even had gluten free. That was amazing. And the organic cafe across the street was also great for lunch. : ) The beach is just a short walk. We went out the hotel and turned left, then down to the W hotel. We went through the hotel straight to the beach and rented a chair and umbrella. Do not exchange money anywhere shady. There is a Circle K with a legit exchange inside. It's a 5 minute walk to the left of the hotel.

Yep, well the rooms that we stayed in have all had refrigerators, but I would simply call room service whenever I wanted ice and they would bring a bucket of ice to the room, usually I would have it stocked with some Bintangs:)
There is plenty on sun each day for the front and rear pools. The middle (large) pool is exposed to the sun on one side most of the day for sunlounge use. The pool wasn't in the sun whilst we were there but, maybe later in the season.
There are more places to choose from in the Kerobokan Kelod area.
