Detailed Reviews
We was among first guests in Villa Air Bali in "New Normal" era. It is little bit strange to stay in hotel this time. Mask is mandatory in public area, hand sanitizers are all over place... but staff will give their best to make you feel comfortable and safe at the same time. Cleanliness is on the next level now and for us, traveling with our daughter, that was really important. What is same as before is attention from staff and quality of food in Herbs and Stone restaurant. This time we tend to order more to our room than before. Seminyak is completely empty, even most of shops is open, and finally we enjoy in long walks trough area. If you visit any of shops they will ask you to wash hands and check your body temperature before let you inside. Most of shops offer discounts. Bali is safe and Bali is super cool now. We enjoy our stay at Villa Air till maximum

From the moment you get to the lobby of Villa air you are greeted with top class hospitality. The welcome drink was a great touch after 10 hours of travelling, and the golf buggy to the villa was perfect too. Every employee greets you with a smile, they look like they enjoy what they do and make it their mission to make you think you're comfortable. The villa I stayed in was a 1 bedroom villa with private pool. This was immaculate. The bathroom was just as big as the bedroom! the facilities were maintained to a top standard and the spa / restaurant on site were something else. I had the opportunity to get 2 60min massage treatments at Spa Air and they were incredibly professional and relaxing, wish I could have one everyday! Herbs and Stones the restaurant on site is beautiful. Overlooking the gardens and main pool of Villa Air, it is very relaxing and the food is melt in your mouth quality. I would highly recommend Villa Air, Spa Air and Herbs and stones to anyone. 5 stars. Thank you to everyone who made my stay so comfortable

There are genuinely no words in the English language (or any language for that matter) that can accurately describe how simply amazing Villa Air is!
The chic spa resort that offers posh villas with private pools, free breakfast & an airport shuttle is located in Seminyak. It’s close to everything but also really quiet which I love (I hate staying in places where it’s extremely noisy all day and all night long)
The one bedroom pool villa features a large private swimming pool with the cutest little day bed next to it, an air-conditioned bedroom, fully equipped kitchen (where you can cook yourself or have someone come in and cook for you) and open living and dining area. The en-suite bathroom is HUGE and has the biggest deep soaking bath tub I’ve ever seen anywhere! The soap, shampoo and conditioner is amaze! They also have a shaving kit for the gents (and ladies of course) and some mosquito repellent in case you are bitten on your travels (what haven’t these guys thought of?!)
The villa is designed for 2 people but an extra bed or baby cot (if you have little ones) can be supplied if needed.
One of the main reasons I love this villa is how the staff just go absolutely above and beyond for you. The staff are so kind and friendly, helping us with our bags, our pool floaties and all of our extra needs. You can see them gardening in villas that aren’t currently occupied, working so hard and making everything look just perfect. There are 2 different sized slippers so that people of all different shoe sizes are accommodated for and the PowerPoints in the room are accomodating to all countries which is so handy.
I honestly can’t fault this place at all and I wouldn’t ever stay in any other villa!

After visiting Bali on many occasions and staying in the big resorts, we decided to stay 7 nights in Villa Air on a Luxury Escapes deal. it is by far the best place we have stayed at and loved our experience there. They have a personal touch that cannot be matched in the big resorts. No request was too much trouble and in fact staff went out of their way to make our holiday perfect. The entire staff are so friendly and professional. The customer service level is exceptional, from the front desk manager who knew our names from the first day, to the older pool man who made our day with his smile. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa and we were impressed by the layout. The food served was always 5 star and loved having our meal served in our villa. They provide a handy shuttle service which we used constantly to get to Legian and and other parts on Seminyak. We will most certainly be back in the future and look forward to getting immersed in the Villa Air experience once more.

The Good:
* We arrived late at night and the staff had prepared a sandwich for us in case we were hungry, It's often the small things that make a difference.
* Staff were great, always friendly and helpful.
* The 1 bedroom pool villa was nicely laid out and a pleasure to return to after a trip out.
* The villa has a dispenser that provides filtered boiling and chilled water.
* Every evening 3 or 4 staff would come to our villa. They would light a citronella coil, sweep the grounds of leaves and remove leaves from the pool, turn on all the lights and turn back our bed.
The Not So Good:
* As others have mentioned some of the facilities are showing their age, eg. loose taps, cabinets that don't close, etc.
* The breakfast, while always very nice, remained unchanged and after a few days became repetitive.
* The villa has cooking facilities but there is only one small pan. No knives for preparation and no cooking utensils.
* The resort is not located on a busy street which makes it nice and peaceful...apart from the renovation noise from next door. Obviously not the resorts fault though.
Summary:
The Villa Air Bali, while not perfect, is a nice place to stay. The location was good and as mentioned the staff were great. We also very much enjoyed having our own pool.

Upon a late evening arrival we received a warm welcome from the charming Wyu. He escorted us to our villa in the resident buggy and provided detailed information about our accommodation and its features. We were also provided with a light snack and drinks following our journey. The Villa Air Spa and Resort is located approximately fifteen minutes walk, or five minute drive to the hustle and bustle of the Seminyak Village and its surrounding shops and eateries. The Villa Air provides an amazing dining experience, with a menu packed with an abundance of high quality ingredients and flavours. The staff, including Dessy, Nanda and Eva were exceptionally attentive to our needs. During our stay, I celebrated a special birthday. The staff secretly arranged to decorate our villa with birthday wishes which also included a personal delivery of a birthday cake. This was a very special touch and for which I was truly grateful. Reception staff, including Ariana, Ari and Eka always greeted us with a smile. They provided support in many ways, including daily departure times for the free shuttle service into Seminyak Village. The on-site spa is a must to visit and receive first class treatments and attention from the beautiful therapists. A special thank you to Sari, Pusma and Ayu for their professionalism and amazing massages. We left the spa feeling totally rejuvenated. Last but not least a mention to the Housekeeping and Gardening teams, especially Tika who always stopped for a chat and engage in light conversation. They worked tirelessly to maintain the immaculate manicured grounds and villas. All staff go above and beyond to make your stay special, Housekeeping even light mozzie coils, close your mozzie nets around your bed and close your curtains to the villa. The Villa Air Bali Boutique Spa and Resort is set in a serene and tranquil location and is a place to relax and unwind from a busy day of sight seeing. It is an amazing place and you will not be disappointed! Lasting memories were made during our visit. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Villa Air, in a one-bedroom villa. The villas were large, with a good sized kitchen and living room so you can really relax here. The bed was comfortable, and my favourite part of the villa was the bathroom. It was huge, and bright with a lovely bathtub.
We had floating brunch in our villa on our first morning, which was such a nice way to start the day. We also tried the spa and had a massage and flower bath which was a really special experience.
Location-wise, the villas are very close to many great places to eat and drink in Seminyak. The resort offers a free shuttle service, and I also walked to many places from here too.

I stayed at Bamboo Pool Villa with my parents for two nights. It was my parents' first time in Bali, so we chose this villa because it had good reviews, but in a word, it's "Not Value For Money" and the service is not commensurate with the price. The exterior and appearance of the villa are indeed as shown in the pictures, but at night there was no hot water in the shower, so when we asked for repairs, the repairman came into the dining room of the villa in his shoes. He asked us to take off our shoes three times in Indonesian, three times in English, and finally one more time in Indonesian, and finally reluctantly took off his shoes. Then the repair started at 23:00, and at 23:40 we were told "We have fixed the repairs. Please wait one hour until hot water comes out from here." To top it off, the front desk staff said, "It's far away, but would you like to go to another villa just to take a shower?"
Also, there was a gap of less than 1 cm between the door (window) and the wall of the twin room, and a lot of mosquitoes came in through it, so we couldn't sleep at night. When I asked for mosquito coils, the bellboy (in a worn-out T-shirt and shorts, looking like a typical older brother) came into the villa without saying a word and suddenly appeared in front of the bedroom in pitch darkness, which surprised and frightened me at the same time. Some of the electrical systems (USB outlets) in the room did not work, and the room cleaning did not replenish small items (even though I left a tip and a request note on the bed...)
The breakfast service has a wide variety of options, but the egg I requested to be double-sided was only half-cooked on one side, and the miso soup was very cold...
Until last time, I had always stayed at the Ayana villa, so the difference between this and the previous one was very striking.
My parents were also a little disappointed, and I feel sorry for them.
It may just be that the Bamboo pool Villa was a miss, but I hope this helps.

My mother and daughter stayed here for three nights. Many of the staff spoke Japanese, so we felt safe. I was worried that we might get bitten by mosquitoes because the room was open, but there was a liquid vape in the room and mosquito coils outside! Since you can't bring insecticides on the plane, it was a small thing, but I was happy.
I had emailed from Japan in advance to inquire about the floating breakfast, Balinese dance dinner, and canang sari lesson, which I had always wanted to do, and the Japanese staff replied immediately, so I was able to make reservations smoothly. The canang sari lesson was taught to us carefully in Japanese by the local staff, and we had a valuable experience not only of making the food, but also of offering it to the gods in the hotel.
There were many options for breakfast, and the nasi goreng and mie goreng were not spicy, so even children could enjoy them (sambal sauce is included for those who like it spicy). My child liked the fried bananas.
On the second day, I was in the hotel all the time, and while I was doing the canang sari lesson, the hotel was cleaned without me noticing, which I thought was great.
The amenities were Sensatia, which lifted my spirits. Some reviews said that there was no hot water, but I had no problem at all as long as I filled the bathtub with hot water. (Probably around 9pm)
It's supposed to be close to the neighboring villas, but even though it's open, we didn't hear any voices and it was quiet.
This time, my child is a junior high school student, so we gave up on the spa because he would just get ticklish, but next time we go, we'd definitely like to try the spa.

I had an extraordinary experience in a very comfortable villa.
The food was wonderful, and the hospitality was attentive as well.
They provided a shower room even after check-out and exchanged money, which they don't usually do.
There are only a few rooms and there are only a few guests, so you can feel like you are in a private villa.

The bedroom in our room was private with sliding doors and huge internal bathroom
Im 6 ft 1. I slept fine in the bed with plenty of space. Depending on how you sleep, your feet might hang off the bed a bit haha.
Good question. But the difference between stars can hit a grey area at times. 4 star or maybe 4 star plus suits this hotel. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
The One-Bedroom Bamboo Pool Villa offers a mini-zen garden with on sun lounger and two chairs. The small plunge pool pool is in the sun from morning till afternoon, accessible from the air-conditioned living room as well as from the small deck. The pool is not heated but exposed to the sun.
