Just returned from our holiday in Bali and our 5th time staying at this wonderful hotel. Every time we arrive, it's almost like going home, the hotel staff are amazing, always remember your name and are genuinely happy to see you return, they really can't do enough for you to help make your stay as memorable as possible. The hotel itself is one of the original tourist resorts in the area so it definitely has that original Balinese vibe. It has a very peaceful atmosphere where lounging by the beautiful pool with a bintang in hand is definitely the order of the day. Location wise it's perfectly placed for some of the best restaurants in seminyak also potato head and the W beach clubs are all a leisurely stroll away. The hotel car service is great value if you want to head out and explore for the day,friendly drivers who will be happy to show you around. We have visited many other hotels in Bali but still, this has a very special place in our hearts, looking forward to seeing everyone again next year, 5 stars, and thoroughly recommended.

Spent six wonderful nights here with my mother ( nowhere near long-enough). The deluxe room was well worth the extra expense very clean & comfortable loved the outside garden & bathroom. The grounds and gardens beautifully maintained. The staff very warm friendly and welcoming they could not do enough for you . Good tasty food, very enjoyous evening's entertainment with three male singer's " lots of laughs " great quite location but minutes walk to lovely restaurants and 10 minutes walk to beach . The spa here is well worth indulging in a full days treatment. In the lobby Bausch took us on some fantastic tour's. A special mention to Kasta who went out of his way to make our stay a very happy & memorable one he took us out for a full days sightseeing trip then to Jimbaran beach for some delicious seafood😊 . Thank you to all staff at Vila Lumbung for looking after us and making our fist but not last trip to Bali a special memorable one.

This resort is lovely, comfortable, great facilities and the service is excellent.
It is a bit of a walk to get to the beach or Seminyak square (there is a shuttle available though), and quite a long walk or cab to get to double six, but there is still plenty around.
I would recommend the upstairs deluxe rooms, they are spacious with super high ceilings and there is a large indoor daybed which makes a good chill out spot.

The Manager is trying his best to be helpful. Most of the time front desk unattended and when attended the young men didn't seem to know much. The hotel is in a great location but is well past it's hey day. Everywhere you look there is maintenance to be done and basic items need replacing. Paths are broken, no lighting and so very unpleasant finding one's way to room in the dark. Safety deposit box not attached to anything so easy to lift and take. Amenities in bathroom literally fall apart and dirty, shower head needs replacing as uneven water flow, towels revolting grey colour. Furniture had old cushions and coverings which were all stained and grey looking. Very old-fashioned style. Gardens overgrown, flowers at reception wilted, reception dark and dingy. The whole place needs a complete makeover and money spent before the owner starts charging the usual rates. Pool water looks clear but not inviting. Sunloungers old and need replacing. The owner refuses to pay for anything and apparently pays his young, untrained staff only 50,000IRH daily at present. Door to room is old, heavy and really difficult to open and shut and lock. I couldn't stay there so left after 2 nights. I didn't bother pursuing a refund because I guessed that the owner would not agree. Owner, if you are reading, please pay your staff properly and invest in modernising and cleaning up this derelict property. 2 stars are 1 for Manager who tried his best to help and 1 for location.

Just spent a week at Villa Lumbung. We had a hotel room style accomodation but there are also plenty of villas. Very happy with our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and nice. The room had a good functioning safe, a small bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets, towels and two bottles of water per day. The airconditioner was modern, quiet and functioned very well - an absolute must for a Bali holiday. The pool and grounds were beautiful and made great photo opportunities. There is security at the front entrance 24 hours a day and we felt very safe. The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and plentiful. Pool towels are provided. Umbrellas are provided. There is an on site money changer and transport service or friendly, trustworthy drivers are available at the entry driveway. There is a bar, restaurant and daily buffet breakfast with a chef cooking eggs/omelettes to your liking included. It was well stocked with a variety of breakfast choices and drinks including tea/coffees/fresh juices. Selection of breads and pastries also included. Heaps of choices of restaurants, bars, massage places, shops & stalls, grocery stores, laundry facilities all within easy walking distance. We ate at a different restaurant every night and all were great. As with everyone in Bali they are accessible via whatsapp and we arranged airport pickup before leaving Australia by contact through whatsapp. Very responsive and quick communications. Absolutely happy with our stay. Clean, beautiful quiet hotel with all of the conveniences nearby. Kid friendly too. The pool was cleaned every morning and was large and picturesque with enough spaces and options to mingle or have your own privacy.

The entire team at the Hotel Vila Lumbung are fantastic. From check in to check out I could not find fault with anyone. The team there are so welcoming, friendly and will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. A special mention has to go out to Arta who is a genuinely lovely human and a credit to the hotel. Arta overheard that it was my birthday when I was there and arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered to me at breakfast the next day which was such a nice touch and a big surprise. He also pours some of the nicest mojitos known to man!!
The accomodation has a few bumps and bruises but don't we all after two years of lockdowns? The team here are working on updating things as they can but it is by no means shabby or run down. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean, the turndown service is prompt everyday. All the facilities at the resort are open and functional including the spa which was excellent and at a very good price as well. If you have any questions or queries the whole team would jump to help out.
Location wise the hotel is perfect. So many good restaurants and bars close by that even though we had plenty of places researched we often found ourselves staying close by just because we liked where we were. Short walk to the beach and plenty of shopping options as well.
Even with so much going on around the hotel it is actually set back from the main roads providing an almost secluded private feel to the whole place. It is both peaceful and tranquil yet fun and lively at the same time. Great place for couples, solo traveler's, families or small groups.
Breakfast was good everyday and the menu changed up frequently, the pool bar snack menu is great and delicious and the pool bar drinks and cocktails are excellent (believe me, i speak from first hand experience here)
All in all, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly resort in a great location this should be your choice. Already booked to go back in a couple of months time.

For the buck you sure got a lot of bang. As it’s the end of the low season we got to choose a lot of different rooms until we found one we liked. Their breakfast buffe is amongst the better I’ve seen in Bali & the staff is attentive to all your needs

This is a lovely small hotel complex that has all you need including pools, spa etc. Swim up pool bar and dry bar if you prefer. We had breakfast included in our deal which was a wide spread of egg and bacon etc, Balinese dishes, varied bread, pastries, fruit, fruit juice etc. Very friendly staff, always smiling. Highly recommended.

Hi,we have stayed in the 3 bed villa and it's a great space for 5 people, it's over 3 floors with the middle being a twin room, very spacious, only drawback is the top two rooms share a bathroom, was ok for us but just something to bare in mind.
They are situated back from the pool and are pretty quiet.
Hope this helps.
