My daughter and I visited Bali as part of a once in a lifetime trip. After the journey from the airport through the busy bustling streets we were delighted to arrive at this beautiful tranquil hotel. The staff were happy and helpful from the moment we arrived. Yes, I agree that this hotel would possibly benefit from a little TLC in places but this is a hotel in beautifully natural surroundings with lush gardens which all add to creating a calm relaxing atmosphere which certainly helped to relax me at the start of a wonderful holiday. The pool at the end near the bungalows we found very pretty as it was surrounded by more gardens than the main pool but the problem we found was that there was not much room around the pool. The main pool was lovely so it didn’t bother us to go there instead. The pool was stone and not fancy tiles you find in smarter hotels so don’t expect polished pristine conditions. It seems some reviewers were expecting something completely different but this hotel is in keeping with its lush natural surroundings and this fact should be embraced and accepted and you’ll enjoy a relaxing and tranquil stay. All staff from the reception to the maintenance staff were always happy and courteous. Anyone worried about the safety of their possessions should use the free safe provided in the rooms! One of the staff team Merry was particularly welcoming and unbelievably helpful, what a truly lovely lady. We used the spa one day and created our own ‘spa day’ and found the treatments and the staff at the Frangipani Spa to be of a good standard. Merry ran a craft class one morning making the ‘offerings’ to the gods. We found this highly interesting and it was an honour to be involved in something so special, thank you Merry. One problem that we did encounter at the hotel was the extremely loud noise coming from the new nightclub next door. The noise kept me awake from midnight to 5am! It was awful! But we mentioned it to the staff who provided ear plugs and explained that they were in discussions to come to an arrangement to resolve this issue. The earplugs blocked out the noise and the rest of the holiday was fine. They even gave us a complimentary treatment in the spa as a goodwill compensation. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in a good location with happy and friendly staff and lush green gardens in a natural environment. But please don’t go here expecting highly polished and pristine surroundings...pick a 5 star sparkling hotel with no atmosphere instead!

We booked a bungalow and when shown to our room, while lovely unfortunately it was towards the rear of the property, but after a short enquiry the staff arranged to move rooms so that we had a view of the pool. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was excellent in either of the two onsite restaurants, nice pool with swim up bar, nice gardens and friendly staff. The location in the Petitenget area was also perfect, walking distance to any number of eateries, bars and importantly beach access at the temple for walks and sunsets. There were a few mosquitos while sitting on the verandah mornings and evenings, but repellant was supplied and they really didn’t bother us.

I booked my trip a few months prior to relax for 7 days and get away from Australia and unwind. Apart from the duplicates of all travel docs and of course COVID procedures to travel to Indonesia I got here after a few delays ready to relax. From the very very late arrival the organised driver was still waiting there with his wife to take me to Tony’s Villa & Resort at around midnight with a friendly smile, amazing. I booked a one bedroom pool villa and I was over joyed with the privacy it afforded me. I was able to swim alone in my own plunge pool, get room service, and just unwind as I had intended. From the time that I arrived to the time that I left the staff were very friendly attentive and I mean that they were genuinely friendly not paid friendly. All the staff were great but Merry couldn’t do enough for me or on noticing all guests and was always available whatever the request. When arriving late after midnight I could quite imagine what I might find at Tony’s Villa and Resort but in the morning I found once again friendly faces, great breakfast, fresh juice and coffee. Later I walked around the grounds which revealed an oasis of palms, ferns and wildlife that disguised it’s location. Even though it’s a short walk to the beach (7-10mins) and taxi rides to nearby nightlife Tony’s Villa & Resort is a place I would return to again to relax and unwind and receive “real” service and good food. I wanted to do a day trip and I had looked at Nusa Penida and she said she could organise this for me. She quoted me the price and I initially baulked but thought it should be a great day out relaxing site seeing. It was a day out Ed of “Bali” itself”. I am so glad I made the decision to go, with Discova once again from the time of pick up with the driver and my guide for the day we caught a speed boat for a day of site seeing, walking, swimming and eating. One of the highlights was a 10-15km drive into now where ? Well I thought now where we arrived at Amok Sunset a restaurant on the cliff with a pool, breathtaking views, awesome food and I was treated so well. What a great recommendation by Merry and a great tour by Discova. They have been hit hard by COVID and I was shocked to learn that I was his first tour/work in two years. It was so nice to experience such gracious beautiful people who like us have lived with COVID adversity yet can still smile and serve others. Thank you to all the team at Tony’s Villa & Resort including the guys that walk around everyday sweeping leaves and the guys at the security check point and of course Merry for listening and being patient with my constant questions and my talking ! You are a gem and asset to Tony’s Villa & Resort and you can see that in the attitude of the team you run.

We traveled as a family, 2 adults and a 8 year old. First of all I want to say that the staff was very accomodating always smiling and greeting their guests, and the area with 3 pools feel like you are miles away from the busy streets right outside. But — we stayed at a pool view room, the three of us had to share a double bed. Breakfast was only for two people, so we had to pay 80-100k idr for the third person per day, very confusing as we had booked the stay for all three of us. The room was ok, but very worn out, and it offers no sound isolation at all. You hear people talking in the neighbor rooms very loud, and when the bars are playing music you feel the beds shaking from the bass and music… We woke up very tired many of the days and we had a stay of 18 nights, so it was not just a once a week thing it was almost every night. We did not get clean towels even though we put them on the floor when used as instructed. The toilet clogged a total of 7 times, and had to wait a few hours for them to come fix it each time. So family friendly, not so much…

I stayed here for 4 nights with my 6 year old daughter- I’ve been to Bali multiple times and know the Petitenget area of Seminyak quite well, so chose Tony’s based on location. The rates were decent for a pool access room, and my daughter loved being able to open the door and jump in. The room was a decent size, clean, AC was great and hotel quiet. The breakfast was not buffet style, which is what I’m used to in Bali, and you chose items off the limited menu. After 4 mornings, I was ready to eat away from the hotel. As far as catering for families with young children- well, we were the only ones.... much to my daughters disgust. She was bored easily at the hotel with no one to play with... (poor little entitled thing she is) but that wasn’t anything to do with the hotel, but maybe says something about the hotel itself, that no other families were there? All in all- 4 days was certainly long enough there. It was a pleasant stay but I probably wouldn’t return with the kids. Highly recommend the organic cafe and the fat turtle for brunch/lunch if you do stay here though.

We stayed in Tony's Villa for 2 weeks and had an amazing time! It is kinda hidden within the busy streets of Seminyak, but inside is a nice ambience and very quiet. We were really positively suprised about that! The rooms are good, we had a Deluxe Room with pool access. Sounded amazing, but it is actually a small shared pool without sunlight, so we didn't really use it much. There are two other pools which have sun in the morning, which was great! Staff at Tony's is amazing, 5+ stars. They really go the extra mile. Food is also excellent at Tony's, although kinda expensive compared to restaurants in Bali.
Tony's needs a few improvements to get to that 5 star rating in my opinion. Rooms could use a bit of a makeover. Fresh paint, clean curtains (ours had stains), that kind of stuff. We were woken up a few times in the middle of the night or really early morning with the room telephone, which was annoying. Last improvement is their rate at contacting guests. Within the 2 weeks we stayed there, we got Whatsapp messages at least 1 time a day to invite us to some special dinner (which we already did on day 1), talked to about the special dinners almost everyday at breakfast and got invites to this special dinner at our room after cleaning. We did the special dinner once (which was cool!), but I don't need the constant invites to it afterwards.
Overall, great stay, lovely staff, good food and a very good location! Definitely reccomend Tony's!

The pictures make this hotel appear much higher quality than it actually is. I was very disappointed to say the least when I arrived. I will say it was a good location but that is about it. We stayed in a villa with a private pool.
We arrived late in the evening so we stayed one night because we were too exhausted from an active day and long transport to switch hotels that night. The very next morning we left knowing we could not get our money back and went across the street to stay at the W hotel. We by no means have the money to spare but it was our last 2 nights in Bali and we desperately wanted a clean, cool, relaxing place to end our trip.
The shower was dirty and backed up with water, the safe box did not work, the mosquito net around the bed had holes and blood stains, the room felt dirty and run down (peeling walls, ill fitted doors that allowed 2 inch gaps for bugs to come in). The air conditioning hardly worked and the bath tub was stained dirty. Oh and there's a club nearby that played loud music until after 1am that was audible even through ear plugs.
I was very upset by the quality of this place because the pictures looked so beautiful. They also made me sign a document stating I was "leaving for personal reasons" when I specifically told them it was due to the poor state of the room. Very disappointed and bummed I had to leave this review.

I stayed here for two nights with my friend. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and allowed us to check into our room a little early as it was ready. They were very helpful in relation to carrying my heavy suitcase and keeping hold of our room key when we went out partying. The room was clean and tidy when we arrived and a decent size. It has a big king size bed which meant sharing a bed with my friend was okay. The air con in our room wasn’t great when sleeping, possibly due to its position, as it didn’t really blow anywhere near the bed but that’s my only real issue. We had a pool view room which was nice. The room came with all the amenities you need for your stay there such as extra toothbrush, cotton buds etc although they didn’t have a shower cap. The hotel grounds are a lot bigger than we initially thought as it is split into two areas. The hotel area and the villa area. There are three well sized and different shaped pools throughout the complex. The restaurant joins the two areas together and this is where breakfast was served in the morning. We paid to have breakfast included in our room and it was a mix of buffet style cold food such as fruit, cereal and drinks then you could order other dishes off the breakfast menu, although i didn’t actually look what was on the menu so can’t comment. The location of the hotel is great as it’s right in the middle of seminyak, both close to potato head beach club and motel mexicola a well known bar. There is a shopping hall called ‘Seminyak Village’ a short 15min walk away but there are many shops on the way to the shopping hall as well. We only accessed the beach once via potato head but it didn’t take us long so i assume the public entrance to the beach isn’t far away. Overall we had a lovely stay here and I would recommend the hotel.

After I had made the booking ,I read some reviews saying this hotel is very dirty and noisy and should be avoided. I tried to cancel the booking the booking.com kept telling me "it is nonrefundable "even the hotel agreed to refund. It turned out, just like the reviews, the hotel was very dirty, there were ants and cockroaches everywhere, disgusting. For a hotel, you don't really need some fancy decor, just need some basic things: cleanliness(that includes pest control), proper water pressure (enough water for a shower), and functioning a/c. Did I mention the a/c in my room auto turned off every 30mins? I ended up woke up at night sweating. The towels were dirty, masked with strong fragrance, even wrose. When I checked out, they gave me a gift voucher, stay 5 nights and get one for free. I would say, give it to your enemies. Hotels like this not worth a cent. The staff at the hotel are very accommodating and friendly though.

Unsure re bed. The breakfast is a cold buffet with a variety of hot food available through QR code at the table, or personal order and then service. The breakfasts are great.
Bungalows are tucked into the gardens with close pool access and a front porch. The Villas with the pool were great and I enjoyed the privacy and ready access to the pool, with a garden and seating area
