Location of this camp is absolutely amazing and the staff is very friendly. A small camp where staff serve you very personal. Buffet was good and in the evening they make a campfire for you. Tents where very luxury. We did a private trip around the dessert, that was very nice to do. You can leave your car at the basecamp and they bring you to this camp. Note that your bathroom do not have a roof, so this can be cold during the night. Be aware that there is no lunch available. After you stay you find everywhere sand, but you are in the dessert so you can expect that.

We spent one night at Queen desert camp and we loved the experience! Unlike some other camps, this camp is in the desert and you feel like there is nothing else around you which is feels fantastic! The staff was very welcoming and professional, particularly Noaaman, who looked so well after us during our stay there. The tent are very comfy and the food was very good, given the hard conditions to cook in the desert. Fantastic place, I can only recommend it!

Stayed here as a reasonably priced option compared with others. To get here, drop your car at Al Reem Desert camp and get a 4wd drop off for 20 OMR. Your jaw drops on arrival. There are only 7 tents all with ensuite outhouses and you seem to be in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant tent is great with a decent buffet dinner and breakfast. The individual campfires and chill area for each tent are a big highlight for stargazing and relaxing. The tents themselves are nicely attired, the bed though firm was comfortable. The outhouse bathroom is more than adequate, though I'd recommend taking a cold shower when it's warm, not at night when it's cool. Nice touches like solar lights and toiletries make this good value for money. The staff are quiet but perfectly attentive

We spent an amazing time at Queen Desert Camp. The private tent feels very isolated, you are right in front of the desert with nothing between you and the horizon. The dinner was very good, and service perfect. Breakfast more average but did the job perfectly. The little private campfire before going to bed is great, and waking up in the middle of the night to look at stars (not on purpose) once the moon was gone was impressive. Only con is the bed which is very hard and the blanket which could be thicker/could be an extra one. Overall, really felt like great value, and the fact that there is only a small number of tents is great (only two tents were used the night we were there). Logistically speaking, the main base camp is relatively easy to find with google maps, just turn left off the main road straight away when you see the billboard. We left our sedan car there and paid 20 OMR for the ride. I understand it can be a bit frustrating if you have your own 4x4 as the drive isn’t hard, but it doesn’t come as a surprise since they tell straight when you book.
