Large older style room but close to main road so some traffic noise. The Wifi was not working which may be temporary but very annoying. Set in a shopping centre close to maccas and many other take always.

Hotel is based in a really great spot, right next door to McDonalds, other restaurants, tavern & not far from Stocklands. Room was tidy, never seen the bathroom sink on the outside of the bathroom before but still functional. Receptionist was very helpful & pleasant. Great off the street parking. Rooms unfortunately are not very sound proof, was awake at 5am due to other people leaving &
trucks. Food at the tavern was great, steak cooked perfectly & woodsmoked pizza was good quality. Reasonably priced with lots of options.

Stayed here one night travelling from Townsville to Bundaberg. Nice and handy to the tavern for dinner, good meals and handy to MacDonalds for breakfast. Lot of traffic noise being on the main road. Rooms are very dated but my biggest gripe was the size of the TV, has to be the smallest one ever. No bigger than a small computer screen. Husband had to go next door to the tavern to watch the footy on a decent sized TV. Guy on reception nice and friendly.

Hubby and I were holidaying in Emu Park and wanted somewhere nice to go for Christmas lunch. As it was last minute the only place we could find was the Glenmore Tavern at $125 pp. We were ok with this. Upon arrival we were disappointed to see a crappy looking tavern bistro with no real decorations nor any atmosphere.
The food was tasteless, boring and seemed to be packet quality. Frozen fish, watery prawns, baked ham that was warm in parts and fridge cold next bite. Salads similar to that you get from Woolies deli.
The "pavlova" dessert was mini meringues with strawberry syrup poured over the top. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.

We would have been better off going to woolies and getting a cooked chook, 250g of ham and a tub of coleslaw. The cost would have been $30 vs $250.

Second time we have stayed and was more impressed with the service, staff and amenities than last visit. The Bistro Manager/Receptionist/Jack of All Trades was the nicest and most obliging young lady I have come across in a long time. Worth her weight in gold. Hope they appreciate her and the high standards she applies. Will definitely stay again. Dianne

Passed through Rockhampton and had dinner at the Glenmore Tavern. We found it hard to find the entrance to the bistro it’s not very well signed.
Meals were quick and were average pub prices.
Service was quick and attentive.

I travel across Australia on business and have stayed at motels in every small or big town in this country. Spend atleast 10 nights a month travelling. The people at the desk in every motel have been the friendliest and most accomodating. I had a shocking experience at this motel. Recently, I had booked a one night accomodation, when I was checking in was told I've two bookings for the same night. The manager at the desk was quite annoyed when I said there was some error and if the mistake was mine I'll pay for both the rooms! The manager shouted and said just pay for one room and don't bother to come back to this motel. I've never had such an experience, it was an insult to say the least, especially in front of my work mate and couple of hotel customers and despite me agreeing to pay for the 2nd room which I had not booked!! Not sure if there is any other forum where such behaviour can be brought up, can someone help?

Staff was nice and gave us complementary drink coupon for each person including children. The apartment with upstairs bathroom and bedroom was a good surprise to us (with a balcony). The room was clean and spacious. Kitchen was well-equipped and maintained. However, the dining table was a bit small. Very suitable for family with young / older children.

don't bother booking ...they don't bother to honour it . i booked a room for 2 nights in october . booked 6 weeks ahead to ensure room . phoned 3 weeks later to make certain it was booked ..even though i had supplied credit card for booking just wanted to be sure. was assured all was booked and ok for late arrival.(10 pm) . Owner phoned at 12 noon on the day of arrival and informed me check in closed at 9 pm and if i wasn't there i didn't have a room . i explained we were travelling from brisbane and couldn't be there before 10pm. to which he replied tough luck.

We came across the Glenmore Motel/Hotel while driving along the Bruce Highway and needed somewhere to stop for the night.

We booked direct for one night and believe me that's all I'd recommend, very expensive for a motel off a noisy highway. The motel is part of a shopping precinct and the restaurant/bar is attached thru a side gate and you can charge restaurant bill back to your room. We didn't eat there and the bar was a large empty space with no atmosphere, there were two rooms full of gaming machines where everyone gravitated towards.

There is private parking outside the rooms which were clean and average size, but the noise from the motorway was loud throughout the night so not much sleep was had.

Bonus with the shopping area is that there are other places to eat and do any last minute shopping.

There were other motels along the highway so may be best to see what they offer.
