We stayed at The Como for two nights over the Easter long weekend and got a great deal through the Accor sale. Stayed in a 1 bedroom with spa bath and it was so spacious, comfortable and clean. Our request for a quiet room with views and twin beds was met and the black out curtains provided a nice sleep. Spa bath was amazing and you get to keep their cute rubber duck.
The rooftop pool was great with the retractable roof and sauna and gym facilities. Advice: book the pool in advance as due to Covid, they have limited numbers per hour.
Great location with Chapel St and shops, cafes, restaurants and Palace Cinema just below and within easy walk. The Como Park is beautiful and peaceful as it's hidden from the main roads.
Only minor issues:
- no easily accessible power plugs in the bedroom, maybe cause of the twin beds, it was hard to find but it was right at the bottom under the beds. Even if it's king bed, the location of the plugs are not great as it's not at the side table level, so the cables probably can't reach the table and you don't want to be crawling on floor level to plug in your phone charger etc. But you can charge it at the big desk outside.
- housekeeping didn't push the twin beds to proper position after room was cleaned, it was pushed against windows instead. Easy to push it back into position.
- request for late check out was granted but the keycard was not programmed to the later time so couldn't go back into lift and room and had to go back to reception to reactivate it.

Overall, really enjoyed our stay and it's big and spacious, unlike most standard hotels with a long hallway and so many rooms just next/opposite each other. Will definitely stay at The Como again.

The junior suite is an incredibly comfortable and spacious room with lovely minimalist decor. The kitchen offered more conveniences than normal such as glasses, cutlery, dishes and other utensils.
We slept very comfortably in the king bed in a quiet room.

The staff went out of their way to help us get settled in - we booked tours and every time we had a query, the reception team came up with helpful suggestions.

The gym had new and good range of equipment and pool on the sixth floor is light airy and spacious.

The hotel’s location in South Yarra provided ample opportunities to dine out, bring takeaway back, go to the cinema and reach public transport conveniently.

We spend four nights at the Como during our trip to Melbourne and were very impressed with the hotel. The staff were extremely professional and attentive - they couldn’t be more helpful.

Our Deluxe King room was very clean and spacious with a lounge and kitchen - would definitely recommend this for a longer stay. The bed was very big and comfortable, we slept very well as we had no noise from outside despite the busy location. We enjoyed the pool and roof terrace which would be great on a hot day.

The location on chapel st is fantastic - everything you need is within a few minutes walk. And the city is just two stops from South Yarra station.

We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Melbourne but this is now our favourite by far. Next time we are in town we will definitely be booking again!

We came to the Como to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and the wonderful people that work here had prepared a welcome chocolate platter and bottle of wine in addition to a special message in our room. The thought was very much appreciated. Thoroughly recommend staying here as it’s central to so many attractions. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast at the brassiere was absolutely first class as were the staff. Thank you!

The Como Hotel is an institution in Melbourne. It has steadfastly stayed true to its mantra of ‘give from the heart’, therefore everything they do is from the heart, from the warm welcome, room service, housekeeping, the brasserie and reception, every staff member is attentive, helpful and supportive to your every need of your stay. The warmth, the kindness and care shown is exceptional. The spacious rooms, with large box full length windows bring in the natural light and are full of quality fittings and fixtures, the beds are heaven and are dressed with beautiful bed linen, pillows & covers and the bath towels are soft and ever so fluffy, most rooms have a big spacious bathroom and a deep spa bath which entices you in every time along with the quintessential must have blue duck. Then there is the roof top pool, a small gym and sauna too. It’s our home away from home!

I was pleasantly surprised by our welcome drinks. The apartment suite was very spacious, with a kitchenette, lounging area and bedroom . The staff also provided me with complimentary parking for the time I entered to the time we took the car to go for dinner. Despite the tennis event going on, they were flexible and accommodating by providing me with parking just outside of the hotel. They were also efficient in answering the phone (on the first ring) and the eggs benedict breakfast was simply delicious. I will definitely return.

A most enjoyable staff at The Como Melbourne last weekend.
Check in on arrival was simple and our room immediately available
On entering our room we found it fresh and well presented and ready for our stay.  The room and subsequent servicing were a credit to the housekeeping team.
All members of the team were well presented, polite and ready to assist.

We are long time Accor Plus Gold members and have stayed in many hotels. A few years ago I was unable to book our usual 5 star hotel in the top end of Collins St, Melbourne, which is also excellent. I thought I would give The Como a try. Well we have been so impressed with all of the staff over the years that, combined with the quality of the establishment, the impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail as well as the fabulous location The Como is our choice for a 'home away from home' when having a short 'staycation' in our own city. On this occasion we met the General Manager, Anne Marie Lennon who was on the front desk with her staff. This was a real leadership eye-opener as indeed she was there many times when we walked past. The hotel was absolutely full including the premier national sports team. However, as this was a special wedding anniversary Anne Marie was able to secure us a magnificent loft penthouse. With the nation and the world attempting to return to a new normal with Covid-19 Anne Marie has excelled in hiring staff with a brilliant attitude. Not all services were opened as yet but we had a very special time celebrating at The Como. Thank you so much, Charles & Di (the originals!!)

Stayed at the Como hotel last weekend instead of staying in the city for a change. Hotel is ideally located amongst the shopping and food places in Sth Yarra with tram and train services nearby. Our room was a suite but had a terrible outlook onto the roof air conditioning plant from the adjoining building.
Check in was fine although we did notice people getting champagne on arrival which we weren't offered.
The shower in our room was a mere trickle of water so not sure if other rooms have the same problem.
Hotel service was good, we didn't eat in the hotel as too many other options nearby including the excellent SOS cafe up Toorak Rd. Hotel bar is now closed which was disappointing, hotel car park is nearby and has a better deal for self parking than the hotel offers.
After checking out and reviewing my hotel bill found I had been charged for breakfast of $70, I find it incredible that hotels make this mistake so often, if you haven't signed a restaurant bill how does it end up on your bill?
All up a good hotel and would return if the shower was improved.

I apologise that your outlook was not ideal but I hope you enjoyed the other aspects of your suite. I am also disappointed that you were not offered a glass of champagne on arrival and I will follow up with our front desk team as this is our arrival welcome drink that all of our guests should receive. Apologies also for the error with your breakfast billing. I am pleased that overall you consider us a good hotel and would consider returning in the future. Once again thank you for your valuable feedback. Sincerely, Anne Marie Lennon General Manager It is however positive to understand that you

Unfortunately the Como hotel is not up to scratch and we left disappointed.
Spacious rooms, friendly Staff and a nice outlook were appreciated.
But the hotel can do with a really good upgrade. The rooms were old, there is only 1 working lift in the entire hotel and the breakfast was so below average that we paid to eat elsewhere on other days.
