Gary is a lovely and perfect host ensuring that I was comfortable and providing good information so that one can enjoy Melbourne.
The apartment is very comfortably furnished with a Superb
Bed and being so conveniently located. It is so close to the train and grams and walkable to the city along the Yarra river.
Highly recommended and thanks again Gary for making my stay of 2 months so pleasant and happy.

A true home away from home. Such a beautifully furnished, well supplied, clean apartment. Gary was so incredibly kind and thoughtful from the moment I enquired about staying until after I left. I highly recommend him and his apartment. He is a superb host.

The place itself is renovated to the quality of a top end hotel. Everything is modern and clean. It’s quiet and safe in an AMAZING location. What really makes is special though is Gary himself, he could not have been kinder, more helpful or accomodating. Thinking of staying in South Yarra? STAY HERE!!! By the way I’ve lived in South Yarra for 15 years and thoroughly enjoyed my time with Gary. Thank you again Gary.

We could not have wished for a better apartment or host for our very first week in Melbourne. Gary went above and beyond to make our stay as best as possible from offering to lift us from the train station due to our heavy luggage, to the FAQ document of local tips and hotpots as well as the luxurious, clean apartment with all useful amenities.
Location of apartment means trips in and around the city were very easy as close to all types of public transport.
The ease of constant communications meant that if we had any questions Gary answered in a timely manner as well as even letting us extend our stay by a few days until we were able to move into our new long term apartment.
Could not recommend any higher for your stay in Melbourne.

This flat was the best AirBnB I have ever stayed in, & I have stayed in a lot. We were in Melbourne for 5+ months & this became ‘home’. Flat is stylish, clean, spacious for a one bedroom, & has everything you need including tons of storage, so you can tuck those pesky suitcases away. Reasonably priced for the area so close to the city, too. Landlord is friendly & very helpful - responds instantly if there is a problem. And the location is amazing. Toorak Rd & Chapel St are a few minutes walk away, packed with great eateries, shops & food stores. Tram stops to city & the train station are really close by - 5 minutes walk. City is a lovely 45 minutes walk away along the river. Botanic Gardens are just up the road. Couldn’t fault it really!

Yes, I agree about the amazing location. Guests seem to love being close to the shops, tram, awesome cafes, hotels, eateries, cinemas, supermarkets, entertainment, nearby South Yarra station and of course the popular Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. BTW, I always thought it was just my passionate bias about Melbourne with my love of the local gardens, so I googled "Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne user reviews" and found that I am not alone. The list of the world's most popular attractions showed that our local nearby gardens have a higher user rating than the Great Wall Of China, Taj Mahal, Sistine Chapel, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and Sydney Opera House! Many people travel around the world to see these amazing places and yet we are so fortunate that our South Yarra Stays guests can just just stroll down the street to experience our iconic local neighbour, more popular than virtually every other icon on the planet. I have been going there for 30 years and every time is just as magical and inspiring as the time before. Thank you again for your lovely review :)

Well what to say we've stayed there for 3 months now. Ours was furnished apartment which included one queen heated bed, bath tub, an sofa cum bed for additional members, Tv, cloth iron, electric stove, microwave, Owen, Dishwasher, room heater/ac , very good free internet connection, common gym, industrial washing machine (AU$ 4 per wash, there's a dryer as well but we never used one)
All above are just amenities but they have these plastic plants all the corners they are plastic but make stay pleasurable.
All above may be a standard here but the cherry on top is the host Gary Poole(0422502020). Small follow-ups events in city places to visit and his overall hospitality makes it stay very very pleasant.
My stay was funded by company so won't be good judge of prizing but everything else hell yah go blind folded.

We have a range of apartments from economy through to our luxury range, so I am especially chuffed that you really enjoyed the economy apartment. It is telling me that we are doing the right thing. We try very hard to make the apartments feel like a home and it seems to be working as most folk like to stay for several months. We stayed here for 2 months and were sad to be leave. South Yarra is an affluent suburb with everything you need. My partner and I found the accommodation to be a perfect fit for our needs, it’s a hop skip and jump to the botanical gardens and the South Yarra train station which puts you in the vicinity of anywhere in Melbourne. Gary was a top host, highly recommend you book this place.

We have been in our apartment now for 3 months with 2 more to go. Brilliant position - close to The Alfred Hospital (our other ‘home’ in Melbourne), and a 5 min walk to Toorak Rd for a tram to the city, and a fantastic array of restaurants, cafes and shops. South Yarra train station is also a 5 minute walk away. The apartment itself is decorated really nicely; quiet (despite facing the road); and perfect for a couple, with everything we need, including a coin-operated laundry on the same floor. Free parking on-site is a bonus. The greatest asset however is the landlord/host, Gary, who cannot do enough to make our stay as pleasant and stress-free as possible. This place comes very highly recommended - and we’ll be back!
