The Olsen - The Art of [Creature Comforts] Please note: South Yarra is experiencing a period of transformation, which at times is causing excess noise in our area. We are doing our best to manage this and are here to assist throughout your stay. PARKING POLICY: Due to limited space within our porte cochere area, we recommend parking in our secure car park upon your arrival. Self-parking is $40 per night and can be accessed at the rear of the hotel, via Daly Street. Valet parking is available for $50 per night, please see a member of our guest experience team for assistance. All parking is subject to availability and in the instance that our car park is full, our guest experience team can recommend nearby parking facilities.

It’s a really nice, clean modern hotel in a good location with a nice restaurant and great staff in all areas. There are plenty of other dining options within walking distance and the Prahran market is also very close by. Trams run outside the door and South Yarra station is only about 500 metres away.

Worst night sleep ever. Amazing hotel, just don’t stay in room 503. The noise was unbearable. I have stayed at The Olsen at least a dozen times or more pre-Covid. And loved it. Travelling for business on a Wednesday night I asked for a quiet room. We arrived late around 9pm, after flight delays. So maybe that was all that was left as I was told the hotel was full. But I literally had no sleep. There was no sound proofing. Cars with V8 engines were driving up and down Chapel St all night and the windows literately reverberated. Managed to get tops 4 hours sleep before the trams started and motorcycles around 5.30am. It’s a great hotel. But this was probably the worst night sleep I ever have had in a hotel. Check what room you are staying in first.

Very comfortable bed and pillow. Good size room with everything you need. Excellent location and very good restaurant. Bonus for us was a window that could open letting fresh air into room. That makes it a bit noisy but great if you like fresh air.

Location is perfect for attending events in the area. You have everything at your fingertips with a variety of restaurants, plenty of shopping. Affordable carparking is a bonus here, but limited. The only disappointment is the service at the restaurant is a little slow.

Pretty good overall - no complaints - car park a bit tight but good bar and room was funky ! I had a great night sleep and breakfast was first class. Artwork was interesting - better than Como hotel over the road - just an FYI

The bed, pillows and bedding were the most comfortable I’ve experienced in any hotel. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! The addition of a smart TV was also appreciated as most hotels don’t provide this.
