Detailed Reviews
My wife and i frequently visit Melbourne from Adelaide to see our children who live in Sth Yarra and need pet friendly for our old pug dog and easy access accomodation (my wife has a disability ) and So Ya is the best we have stayed at.
Our apartment was very comfortable and quite "hip " with all facilities including a small private lockable yard which proved great for the pug. It is very well located to the shops/ restaurants on Toorak Rd (apron 50m ) and the Tarrif /Rates are very reasonable in comparison. The team were all very helpful and we will defiantly stay there again

I'm so glad we picked SoYa for our Christmas escape. We spent over a week there and found ourselves perfectly positioned to go to the Boxing Day test, shopping in the city, fantastic restaurants within walking distance and more.
Our apartment was perfect. We chose to be up on the top floor so the initial lugging of suitcases up three flights was challenging but worth it (and frankly it was good exercise after eating so much!).
The owners and staff are great. The decor is cool. The noise was minimal and the bed was comfy.
We have already booked our next stay there.

Great location, lovely staff, comfortable beds - well equipped apartment with everything we needed.
Thanks for helping us with our luggage Tom.
Reasonably priced!!
The only thing we needed was a second toilet - three chick's and one toilet was a challenge lol!!
Would definitely stay again!!

All i can say is when did the world become so unpractical and rude.
I came to stay in a didi cost me $98. I spoke to the hotel when they rang me at 2pm the day of check in they said that my card didnt process the payment i asked could i pay cash they said no problem. I arrived and was td i could pay cash but still needed to provide a card for damages, i said ok my partner will be here with his card soon. I went for a walk for 10 minutes and returned only to be told our room was suddenly unavailable due to a plumming issue only just found by housekeeping, funny seeing as though my room was apparently clean and ready at 2pm. Discriminatory snobs. Ill be taking this further.

I recently moved over from New Zealand and had a terrible experience staying at SoYa Apartment Hotel. My review is similar to what Ruby Lucas wrote 'Not only are the rooms not even sound proof, but some of the staff are particularly rude’. I was awake until early hours of the morning unable to sleep due to banging and guests being noisy above me. This hotel apparently have a no noise policy between 10pm-8am. When I called the number for after hours support at 1am which is where you tell them about noisy guests the man on the other end of the phone was unfriendly, non-empathetic and unhelpful. His response was he wasn't sure where the source of the noise was coming from and so he could move me upstairs into another building. Why should I be the one to have to get all of my things and move in the middle of the night (I had a big suitcase with all of my belongings). He had terrible customer service. In the morning I spoke to Marianne on reception about my experience and her response was 'I'm very sorry to hear that'. She also had no empathy, no offer of compensation nothing just an apology after having to fork out that money. I am not sure what kind of people are running this place but this is the most awful experience I have ever had staying in a hotel and especially in a new country I felt so dismissed over my concerns and treated very poorly. Do not waste your money here.

We were looking for accommodation close to the The Alfred and were just so lucky to have found SoYa. Everything was excellent and great value for money - really well fitted out apartments, very comfortable beds and amazingly helpful staff. This has a really great vibe, excellent location and genuinely nice people running the show. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Hi found this boutique hotel while looking in the south yarra area. Richard and monika were very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing check in/ out compared with big hotels. Rooms are modern new york style with very comfy linen and beds. Big tv with free netflix which is great if travelling alone. Location fabulous with good cafe next door and toorak rd 50 minutes away. Will definitely stay there again

We were meeting friends for dinner at France-Soir round the corner and wanted a room for a quick city break. This is in a great location. Met by the very friendly Richard who helped me park (big car, tight spot). Comfortable apartment with Eames loungers. Simply appointed but had the key elements including a very comfortable bed. Didn’t hear any noise from the nearby train line due to the double glazing. Would come here again if we were out in the area.

Every now and again you find a gem of a place to stay ... but a part of you selfishly doesn’t want to share it with others ...well here goes.
We were looking for a place to stay for a recent concert at AAMI Stadium and the City didn’t particularly interest us especially with a vehicle to park. We are Queenslanders.
So Ya at South Yarra was everything we could have wanted
2 minute walk to South Yarra station, ( we ended up catching a train one stop to and from Richmond station but you could have easily walked to AAMI Stadium ),right in the heart of Toorak Road sensational cafes, restaurants etc. What a wonderful choice of places
Best of all free car parking!
We had a ground floor room but was exceptionally quiet.
Recently renovated the apartment with funky artwork was very clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was absolutely heaven!
It had a fully functional kitchen but seriously with so many places to eat right around the corner, who’d be bothered.
We were checked in by Tom, one of the friendly owners and we appreciated the opportunity to check out a little later after a late night at the concert.
We’ll definitely be back when next at a concert or the footy.
