After a very dusty and hot drive to get there, we were very happy the green oasis tucked away between the rocky mountainside. Lovely old stone buildings, gardens and a pool provide a lovely setting. We camped for 2 nights which didn't have as much shade, so a gazebo or cover be recommended to take along. The camping ablutions were...

We spent only one night and wish it could have been longer so that we could have had the chance to do the walking trails and swim in the rock pools. The accommodation was simple and clean with a pleasant deck/stoep and a braai area. The kitchen is well equipped and there was a nice big fridge to keep the...

We stopped for 2 nights on our way North and were blown away by the location and hospitality. Beautiful isolation, well appointed accommodation and wonderful hikes. Definitely on the visit again list, highly recommended.

Recommended by a friend we changed our holiday plans to experience this lovely resort. Only camped for one night but could easily have stayed for 3 or 4 nights for walking and MTB. Lovely bird watching and great swimming in the delightful stream. No route markers in the town and the locals couldn't help either...great drives via both routes. Pet...

Visited for one night only and stayed in a 3 bedroom house for only R520 for the two of us. The unit is very basic and quite old but clean which is most important to me. We enjoyed the company of the resident dogs and had a lovely braai in the evening. The unit is equipped with all the essentials....

Interesting rock formations and good hiking. The cottages are clean, well equipped, but need some refurbishing. Rooibos country. We had a most enjoyable dinner served by the lady of the house. The last bit of the road there is somewhat bumpy

We came to gifberg family farm for the flower festival and trail run. The setting was incredible, we loved the trail routes - the bushman paintings, rock pools and beautiful flowers. The campsite and facilities are great. A great escape to the wilderness. We will be back.

I can highly recommend the Gifberg Resort as great place to get away from civilization and enjoy the natural beauty of the Gifsberg. We opted to make use of the campground and had the whole place to ourselves. The camping area is a big grassy field with horses, geese and rabbits running around. No shade or tables or any infrastructure,...

We stayed one night here on our way to Namibia. Overall we had a great time but getting there was probably not for the fainthearted. The farm is accessed via a mountain pass which is spectacular, however, you really need at least a 2x4 if not a 4x4 to do it safely. Fortunately we had realised this before going so...

A group of us went for a week's stay. We loved the numerous hiking trails and the fact we could swim in a different rock pool every day... The cabins had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful but not intrusive. Our guide for the day 'Jacques' was really knowledgeable about ecology and the area in general.
