Only one hours drive from Adelaide, Middleton Caravan Park is only a short walk from some of the states best surfing beaches, The Middleton Tavern, The Middleton Bakery and the new Middleton General store and Restaurant. Stayed a few nights. Positives Close to town and walking distance to beach. Water, power, grass and shade. Hot water in amenities, laundry clean but general sense is that the Caravan park is tired. Iga next door and cafe up the road in walking distance Negatives Very smelly large bin Wedged between train track (for the cockle train) and highway Playground for kids is a cubby and a swing. Ok for a night or two but nothing to keep you there for days on end.

the toilet ran all night when you pushed the toilet buttons they fell in the cistern, tried ringing to tell them about the toilet no answer, the cold water tap wouldn't turn of unless you turned it of very hard. Nobody in the office from the time we got there till we left.

Tried to book a site but this park only contactable by text or email. Took 2 days for a response at which they requested bank details.. NO THANKS. I think they should realize that people still like to deal with humans rather than electronic devices.

We booked a 3 day holiday back in february for March long weekend 2021 at Middleton Caravan Park South Australia. Spoke to Andrew, gave bank details paid in full. Told me we can get into park earlier as we where coming from else where. No emails to say what cabin number etc. Didn't feel right. Rang back on 2/3/21 and they didn't know anything about us. Finally after a long time (all day)we got are money back. After sending copy of bank details which had other name on it. Think there may be fraud going on. PS now we have booked to go to Meningie Waterfront Motel for less money. Lost are business.

We camped for 3 nights. Great spot under a tree near the camp kitchen and amenities. We had no complaints at all. We enjoyed watching the comings and going’s of all the dogs and their owners to the kitchen area. Central location close to everything we needed. Friendly owner up for a chat.

We have camped here before and it was fantastic, great location and nice grassy sites, however, this year, the bathroom facilities were absolutely filthy. We went to the office to speak to someone about it to no avail as it was continuously shut! We were embarrassed to pursue any further as every time we called the owner was not on site. Im hoping that next time we go there's been a review in this aspect of the park.

I was most surprised at how untrue some of the trip advisor reviews were. We stayed in a cabin at the Middleton Caravan Park in late Nov 2020, and found it to be excellent, clean, good value and had everything one would wish for. The service was excellent and the outlook over the freshly cut green lawns, and so many facilities within close walking distance made our stay very enjoyable. We will be back and have booked again. Peter , Jules and family.

Booked cabin in advance and prepaid. Communication was non existent after payment. We arrived and no cabin booked for us. The one we were given smelt like it was from the 70's. Not game to use the shower, smoke detector not connected to the battery, bed had springs poking through into back and long life milk was 2 months past use by date. Stay somewhere else.

Location was fine and we enjoyed our stay as we could have our dogs with us and beach access was not too far away. Close to a hotel for a meal and the Middleton Bakery was excellent. Can hire surf boards and wet-suits close by if needed. Other users were friendly and helpful. Full over the long weekend.

The staff member smelt of beer at check in.and told me i was to skinny.the room was dirty and bathroom door was broken,the bunk beds mattress are old and dirty the floor was not clean.so we sweeped and mopped the floor ourselves. Its a real shame the carapark is such a dump.it could be something really special.i wonder if the chapman's from Hindmarsh island still own this park???any way Dont go there.
