In the middle of its vineyards and nestled on the slopes just under a protected nature reserve, Babaneuris Marani overlooks the whole of Kakheti and welcomes you with amazing food, delicious traditional wines, beautiful walks through the forests, and a warm family welcome. 9 comfortable ensuite rooms, a cosy lounge with fireplace, and a terrace with one of the world's great views.

The small family located in isolated place, with own vineyard and bordering forest. It is super clean with big rooms and great view from the (small) balcony of Kakheti landscape and mountains. The rooms have minimalist, modern furniture and central air-conditioning (there is well a wardrobe but a bit small if you have lot of stuff). The bathroom is adequately equipped and with good ventilation. Free WIFI has reasonable speed but is unsecured. Breakfast is included and offers a wide choice. The lunch and dinner menu is rather limited but the food is fresh and of excellent quality. But because it is freshly made, it can take time and some dishes one has to order beforehand (well marked on the menu, although not on the English one). Own wine is of great taste but it is mainly made traditionally (in so-called kvevri vessels) so it is strong and with a lot of tannin. And the restaurant has probably the best "chacha" - i.e. the spirit made from rest of (their own) grapes. Probably the best chacha of the whole Georgia I have tasted (and I have some experience with it by now). It is a quite cozy, romantic hotel with a large swimming pool as a welcome place in hot days. Great for both young couples and families with children. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. One can taste different types of hotel's wines and buy a couple of bottles to take home as well. And the chacha. One of the places we are soon coming back to again.

Amazing hotel to stay i! Pool is gorgeous , wine and food are amazing, staff and owner are friendly, and the setting is stunning. The location is great to explore nearby sites, including several wineries, monasteries, castles etc.

Cosily nested into the Kakhetian vineyards, with a charming view onto Alaverdi cathedral, this hotel is what you need to relax and enjoy life. Vacho and Nino have warmly welcomed us. The room was very clean, with a good bed and air-conditioned. The home made famous georgian "quevri" wines are matching perfectly the local food. It's a family friendly place to go as there is a great playground and a lovely pool. Vacho and Nino organized for us the unforgettable excursion to Tuchetie (4×4 with a super driver and the accomodation in old Omalo). We thank them with all our heart for it!!!

The spectacular view of the mountains, vineyards, and Alazani valley opens from every corner - terrace, rooms, or the pool. The huge open space creates exceptional vibes for perfect relaxation. We appreciated the huge terrace where we had breakfasts, dinner, and even hosted a birthday party with friends. Design is modern and minimalist and the rooms are comfortable and chic. Food is delicious and products come from their own farm or from neighboring farmers. The selection of their fine wines is marvelous. The hosts are super welcoming and accommodating. Loved the pool and appreciated the kids' pool and playground. Overall, we had a perfect time there - already visited twise (first with family and then with friends) and are planning for the next one.

Great Georgian food and wine from the vineyard (try the amber Kisi). We spent four days here with a few friends. We worked remotely and made the most of the view from the terrace and the swimming pool.
There are plenty of options hiking and wines in the area also if you want to take some day trips. Highly recommend.

Wow, what an amazing experience staying at Babaneuris Marani. Our room was great with a view across to Alaverdi Monastery. A great swimming pool too. The food and wine were too class. A great Nature Reserve bordering the property with a chance to go for a nice walk. AND to top it off the owners are so nice and helpful. Nino was lovely and very helpful arranging for our onward trip with a car and driver. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here.

Only 2.5 hours of drive from Tbilisi, this hotel offered us what we needed during our romantic weekend.
- clean and tranquil rooms facing to vineyard, - super delicious Georgian cuisine with fresh and bio products, - nice swimming pool and beds, toward the natural reserve mountain, - GOOD wine, - reasonable (even cheap) prices both for room and cuisine, - super lovely crepe and pancake in the morning We will definitely come back there, and we are recommending it to all our friends.

I must confess I wasn't expecting to find such an incredible hotel out in the middle of no where! You have to take a bumpy dirt road to get there, but then...vineyards and what looks like an old castle. The grounds are so beautiful. The service was great. We were checked in quickly, and with a smile. The rooms are good size, and very comfortable. There is a refrigerator, and AC. Great views. Only complaint about the room, is no where in the shower to put soap, shampoo etc in the shower. A small shelf or rack of some kind would help. The towels are air dried, so they are rather scratchy but considering how great everything else was, it is easy to look past. Dinner was delicious. Since you are in the middle of no where, dinner and breakfast are eaten at the hotel. My only suggestion...a better breakfast menu. For an English speaker it was very hard to understand. Everything was just listed, and didn't really make sense. We had no idea what were could order...what we were ordering...it should be an easy fix if you ask for some help. Also, their wine is very delicious. We did a short hike in the am, that left from behind the hotel. It goes up to a small very old church and affords great views. This is a beautiful hotel, being run by people who clearly care. Great stay.

I was so excited to stay in this hotel and had really high expectations since it cost 2 times as much as what we paid for all the other hotels we stay in Georgia and Armenia. Unfortunately, 5 days before our stay we received an email from the manager/owner threatening to cancel on us if we do not send our payment details. I was so shocked as I booked for booking.com and use them very often and know that there are always two options 1) supply details while booking 2)hotel does not require details so book without it. The fact that I was not even asked in a polite manner but threatened while we were already traveling and I am not home with the computer I normally use and had to send my credit card details via a booking.com message I was not even sure was secured really ticked me off and was very stressful and disappointing to say the least! What made me even more angry is that on the last day of our stay I asked the man at reception who was responsible for this rude message and he called a woman who appeared to be the manager or owner. She was very defensive accusing me in front of my husband of not sending the pament details and that she is tired of people from Saudi that keep on canceling on her. I told her that she should not generalize like that and that it was unfair to expect this when she never asked for it during the booking process. After contacting Booking.com that night being so upset they wrote me a letter of apology and said that the hotel changed their settings since I booked and that i should not have been held responsible. Although the hotel is in a nice setting with a comfy bed and very nice man at reception this left such a bitter taste in our mouths. She tried the excuse of using a translator and therefor did not mean to be rude but spoke perfect English both times we communicated with her. To have someone be so openly racist and treat us different just because we booked with a Saudi tel number. I would like to warn all Saudi's (maybe even others in the Middle East who knows?) and expats (as we are) living in Saudi to please AVOID booking at this hotel as you will certainly be treated with much distrust!! We found many other places in the nearby area that was much more welcoming and the wine and food also better. It is just not worth the money and time.

Dear Annari J Thank you for your stay at our hotel . We apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced during your stay. We welcome and treat all customers equally . We are small hotel with only 13 rooms so we had to change our cancellation policy as we want to make sure if guests change plan we get notified so that we can make those room available for the guests who want to experience stay in our hotel . We ask for payment details as security. We have no refund policy 7 days prior to arrival. We sent you polite letter asking for payment information as we had none in our file. The message was sent only 5 days prior to your arrival. Despite not having payment details we still kept room and did not cancel the reservation . We Apologize if you received it as threat from us. That is not the way how we treat our customers. I do hope we get a chance to host you again in the future for a more relaxing stay. Regards Nino
