Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Camped 3 nights here with my 5y/o son. The sites are much smaller than I expected. The amenities are very good - clean toilets, showers, hot water, etc. The camp kitchen building is also very good. The reception sells a wide assortment of bakery foods/treats and has fuel and firewood. Staff are friendly. This is a great location to use as a base to go see the Tablelands. Lake Eacham is a must do and Yungaburra down the road is perfect for a day out. I will return and would recommend this place.

There were four of us staying in a cabin. If you are looking for a clean , stain, grease, and mould free accommodation keep on driving. If these things are less than important to you, enjoy your stay. It's close to the lake so at least you can clean yourself off there

I always take visitors here as the women behind the counter are friendly and professional. The shop has beautiful, modern gifts. The food in the restaurant is healthy with plenty of vegetables and games to play. The gallery supports local artists exhibiting every month. Ensure that when you go, that the gallery is not between exhibitions as this is a highlight. The garden is not maintained as well but is still delightful with little ponds and statues. I thoroughly recommend the restaurant and service.

A small park well located near to Lake Eachem that offers a small number of powered sites and unpowered camping. It has a camp kitchen, adequate amenities with some mobile reception. A key feature is the cafe at reception which offers interesting and somewhat different, but tasty, dishes.

This park is quiet, green and beautiful. If you love simply being with nature, this park is for you. We stayed in a pet friendly cabin. Cabin was self contained and had everything you need to cook meals, and was very comfortable. Plenty of space to pitch a tent and fire pits available throughout camp site. Very clean amenities and kitchen area. Close drive to beautiful lakes, small towns and tourist centres. Owners are very friendly.

Fantastic little campground near exquisitely beautiful Lake Eacham. Basic facilities but clean and well maintained. Idyllic quiet rain forest setting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even devoted time to a few mechanical issues with my campervan.

A lovely leafy vibe with clean amenities and friendly staff. Lots of animals! 😍 Chooks, cows, marsupials, and other gorgeous birds were seen. We woke to the sound of a rooster which was so lovely. There is a charming pond which you can sit by and have a picnic. The kitchen has an old school wood fire which is pretty cool! It was actually 1.7km to the lake (main carpark and picnic area) which is quite a walk. We had phone reception but it was fairly minimal and dropped out sometimes. (With Telstra)

We stayed in the Green Cottage and enjoyed it very much. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The bed was super, comfortable and the duvet was big and warm. We enjoyed sitting out on our patio in the morning and evenings. The staff were awesome and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We would definitely recommend Lake Eacham Tourist Park and look forward to a return visit as soon as we can.

This park is located in a pretty, well placed central location to visit all of the Atherton Tablelands attractions. Our cabin included a very well equipped kitchen (full stove/oven, full refrigerator, microwave, utensils, cutlery and crockery) and a comfy bed. It also had a nice little veranda with a table and chairs and nice gardens surrounding it. The toilet/bathroom was in a separate building next to our cabin which also included a carport over our car. It was a good price and service very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the smell of mould that hit us like a brick when we walked into the cabin. However, I can understand how this can be a problem as it seemed to be constantly damp up that way and it would be quite the battle to keep it at bay. Lovely big park with plenty of space for vans and campers and also includes a laundry and camp kitchen. I would have only two suggestions for this lovely home away from home - on the map of the park provided, perhaps add information to it such as park rules, laundry information, office hours, towels/cleaning and WiFi information. We were left wondering about a lot of things. Also, because of the dampness issues that way, probably replace the bedside lamps from fabric to an easy to clean hard surface as the mould had penetrated the lampshades as well.

Response from Ginni H, Owner at Lake Eacham Tourist Park
Responded 4 Sept 2019
Hello Bernie, Thank you for taking the time to review our park. I appreciate your feedback and will most definitely implement a more detailed map of the park, we used to have lovely folders in the cabins packed full of information, however these kept going missing! We are relatively new to this park and to the rain forest so I appreciate what you have to say about the mold, the light shades will most definitely be changed, I had not realised it had penetrated through, I do aplogise for that. We are in the process of renovating the cabins and the one you stayed in is the last one to be done. I am hoping this will fix alot of these issues. Bernie if you are able to come up again at some stage please call us direct so I can offer you a special deal in our renovated cabins.
