I stayed at Villa Laetitia with my friend and we had a great time. Antonio welcomed us at the port and practically organized what to do every day, advising us on beaches and excursions. We appreciated the enormous effort that Rita dedicates to this place, the room was spotless (we had the Pepe) furnished impeccably. Breakfast is a fairy tale served on this beautiful patio with a view, a rich buffet (I recommend the donut). Both Rita and Antonio are extremely helpful and of a rare kindness.. we felt at home. I recommend everyone to stay here... we will definitely be back!

Villa Laetitia Ponza is a hotel in a league of its own.
Every room is decorated different and always with a personal touch of Anna Fendi that adds a very special elegance to the atmosphere.
The Terrasse is also very pretty with a gorgeous view.
Rita and Antonio were fantastic hosts with an irresistible Charme that made every wish possible and make you feel at home immediately.
After a 10 days stay we were sad to leave this very special place.

The Villa Laetitia hotel in Ponza is located in a historic building, within the ancient fabric of the capital centre, representative of the most genuine settlement tradition of the island.
The room, with a wonderful view of the port bay, is large in size; the bathroom is also large and comfortable.
All the useful services for maximum comfort are present: air conditioning, large wardrobe, mini bar, television and, on request, safe.
Excellent cleanliness, impeccable breakfast, served (in good weather) on a large roof garden with a view.
The staff, kind and helpful, is always present to ensure answers to every need; Transport to and from the port with luggage is guaranteed.
During your stay, access to the Port (and to the bus and boat station) is via a pleasant route through the Historic Centre.

An unforgettable mid-August! Villa Letizia is a unique experience for those who want to experience the atmosphere of the holiday homes of the early 1900s! Expertly restored the furnishings and accessories of the time, with the eclectic touch of the property the Villa reveals its suggestive and exciting personality. Located in a strategic position, it offers a breathtaking view with the terrace surrounded by a garden of Mediterranean scrub that smells of myrtle, rosemary, laurel and lemon... a sensory experience not to be missed without giving up the nightlife of the island and the attractions that are at your fingertips.
Special mention for Antonio and Rita who run the facility with care and professionalism ♥️

Great experience. The Villa is very nice with beautiful views of Ponza. Rita and Antonio, who run the property, are super helpful. They helped us in addition to various transports, also to organize days on the island, including boat trips, or the best beaches and restaurants to try. Everything is great.
The rooms are nice and spacious with large wardrobes, so functional.
I suggest to request the room with the balcony, very convenient for drying the costumes or towels.
To reach the Villa you have to walk uphill (with steps) for about 12-15 minutes, or you can get there comfortably by taxi.
Recommendation!

The location is great, the rooms amazing, but a few slices of white bread , cooked ham and industrial white cheese as a breakfast, is way under the level. This should be improved.I’m sure mrs Fendi would not take this for herself.

We stayed at La Laetitia for 3 nights. My review here is perhaps naïve as this was our first visit to Ponza and I have nothing to compare it with. We were picked up by the caretaker upon our arrival from the ferry and after a short intense drive trough the narrow streets of Ponza and a steep climb, we debarked with our luggage and crossed a gated door into a lovely terrace featuring typical Mediterranean mosaic furniture, lavender bushes, and sweeping views of the harbor and twinkling sea. Our room, named Cocoa, was on the second floor. It featured brown hues, unique African artwork and worn wood antiques. A set of double doors led to a small balcony, offering an even more striking view of the bay with its colorful houses and rough cliffs. Above us a fish patterned fan swayed on the ceiling, airing a queen size bed featuring soft sheets embroidered with the Fendi logo. The setting was simply magical.

I would describe the overall feeling of La Leatitia as that of staying at a rich Aunt’s sea-side villa. A bit worn here and there, but simply charming and unforgettable. Attention to details transpired in the architecture and décor of the room, perhaps with the exception of the cheesy cheap blue curtain in the shower. The room itself was not large but offered enough room for our luggage and a bit of space to move around. It included a small TV, bar fridge and daily room service. The breakfast was plentiful, offering a variety of typical Italian pastries and crostinis as well as more international items such as cereal, yogurt, brewed coffee and an assortment of tea served with warm milk. Also available on demand were acceptable espressos and Italian-style croque-monsieur.

We had a chance to view the Pepe room which was also charmingly appointed, slightly larger but missing a view through the window from the bed. Other guests were staying in rooms on the ground floor but those do not offer the magnificent views of the 2nd floor rooms.

Unfortunately, not all is perfection. We noticed several elements that were not problematic to us but are worth mentioning. The B&B is located on a hill overlooking town, allowing beautiful views and a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the harbor. Unfortunately, this advantage comes at a price: one has to climb several series of not so clean steps and a steep 10-min climb up a grooved road to access the B & B. High heel shoes prohibited! The beautiful fan is unfortunately not very strong and it was necessary to leave the windows open for most of the night. This meant that we had to compose with all of the noises of the harbor till late at night and that of the morning doves and roosters early in the morning. Also, the rooms are poorly soundproofed and one night, we were disrupted by ongoing love-making noises from our neighbors. Albeit sometimes annoying, these elements symbolize the quintessential Italian holiday. We found it charming and memorable but I can imagine how some travelers may be put off by these details. Finally, be warned that the caretakers are nice but do not speak any English at all. Your Italian phrase book will be essential here.

It was such a pleasure to have Villa Laetitia as our home base while in Ponza. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was lovely.

The location: The place is very cozy and charming and the location sits on the top part of the hill looking out onto the main port and you can also see the other side of the island from the hotel. As a result, the sunsets are stunning and it's separated from the main center of Ponza, so you get a nice location to rest that's tranquil and very local. It is a steep walk up with a lot of stairs down and up to the town, but that's Ponza -- the homes are mostly on hillsides and stairs are the norm. We loved it. It felt so adventurous every time we went into town - which was only a 10-min walk, at most - and after dinner you get a bit of a workout, which was welcomed. :)

The rooms: The rooms are charming and decorated almost entirely with antiques. As a result, it can look a bit tattered, but as someone said it feels like you're staying at your wealthy aunt's house - I would say that's accurate. It's not opulent by any means, despite the Fendi name tied to it, but it's much more antique/charming. We stayed in the Pepe room and this was on the 2nd floor. I highly recommend staying in a room on the second floor as those have stunning views and the lower floor rooms do not benefit from an unobstructed view like the 2nd floor rooms do. The shower water pressure was great, but the plastic shower curtain left much to be desired. The tiles are also antique - I would imagine - so as a result they do look a bit dirty, but they are just old. For some people this may be a real turn-off. The bath products are fine, but very average, nothing as fabulous as you would expect given the Fendi link. But, my only main beef with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning. If you come during any warm month - and we were there in July - it is utterly UNBEARABLE without air conditioning. I am baffled why they've left out air conditioning, but decided to put TVs in the rooms. Maybe it was to keep with the "charm" of the place, but come on... it's a mandatory need and I suggest ditching the TVs and replacing that modern appliance with some functional air conditioning. Truth be told, on our 4 night say, we only slept well one of the nights due to heavy and unbearable heat. They provide you with a fan that sits on the dresser, and the ceiling has a fan, but both are not sufficient to cool you down in this heavy heat of summer. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows, not so much. They were a bit stiff. I think they can make very minor improvements to really enhance the stay - add air conditioning, provide softer/more comfortable pillows. Also, they can add a Peroni or two to the fridge instead of Heineken. Now they have only 2 Heinekens and some waters and sodas. That's one thing - the mini fridge is pretty well stocked for Italy.

The hospitality: Mrs. Svetlana was lovely. She was so sweet and tried so hard to be accommodating, even though she doesn't speak any English. I felt so bad that I couldn't speak with her, that I started to use Google Translate and would show her what I meant. That worked a few times, but as a result, it's best you are entirely self-sufficient while you are there and if you don't speak Italian or Russian (the languages she speaks), you are out of luck. However, to book our transfer to the port, I informed her via Google Translate what my ferry time was and what time we'd like a car to the port - that worked fine. She works so hard though and she is so pleasant and kind. Such a gentle, sweet soul. I really wish I could communicate more with her. She is doing everything she can to make your stay comfortable and she makes breakfast for you and also cleans the rooms and checks people in - she's what makes the hotel so charming.

Overall, this was a delightful stay. We will definitely return once they get air conditioning, or we will stay there in a cooler month when the heat won't be that much of an issue. This hotel isn't for everyone, but overall it's a lovely place to base yourself while in Ponza and get a real local flavor in a beautiful setting.

I travelled to Ponza with my girlfriend for a three night getaway. We wanted a quiet, no fuzz place, but preferably something with a bit of charm.

We were told via email that we would be picked up from the harbour, but no one was there when we came. We called, and about 20 minutes later, one of the two caretakers of the property picked us up. It then became apparent to us that the person we had communicated via email with was located in Rome, and not in the B&B itself. It seems like Villa Laetitia is run remotely from Rome, not the best way to run a business in my opinion. The two caretakers are friendly and sweet, but they don't speak any English, so your Italian phrasebook will come in handy here.

The Villa is a short walk up from the town centre, in picturesque surroundings and with stunning views of the surrounding ocean. The house itself is super charming, but with no aircondition, or anything else resembling a hotel. I think the place is really beautiful, you just have to know that it is essentially a B&B, and not a hotel. If you want a pool and and a staffed reception, go somewhere else.

The breakfast is good, and the caretakers make you feel at home and comfortable. Note that they have other offerings than what's on the table, just ask for it. They will happily make you a cappuccino if you're not into the black coffee on the table. All in all we were really happy with the breakfast.

The staff drove us down to the harbour with our bags, which I think is a really nice service. However they charged extra for the washing of two bath towels that we never asked for, but were handed to us when the caretakers realised we were headed for the beach. Not great, but a small mishap that I think would've been avoided if our Italian was better.

All in all I would be happy to recommend Villa Laetitia, but if you're looking for more comfort and a pool with an umbrella and no fuzz, the top hotels in town will give you a room for the same rate as this B&B.

We loved staying here! Ms. Svetlana was so sweet to us and was so welcoming! We really felt at home at Villa Laetitia. We stayed on the second floor and had our own little terrace. The view from our terrace was really amazing. Pictures don't do the view justice. The breakfast was also amazing. Even though we didn't speak much Italian - M. Svetlana brought us the best Ham and Cheese sandwiches each morning. The drop off and pick up to the port was also super helpful! I would highly recommend staying at Villa Laetitia and visiting Ponza.
