We stayed here for three nights to celebrate New Years with family and friends. Location is great but the house is pretty beat up. The furniture is all old and torn. The beds are not comfortable, the sheets are not clean. Someone that we knew stayed there a week before and they told us all the issues they faced and we made sure we emailed the manager. But nothing changed despite his assurances. Most of the toilets clogged and except one, all the showers were broken. They could not even provide portable heaters for all bedrooms that they promised in the email. It rained on New Year’s Eve and there was water everywhere in the house. The bunk beds got soaked somehow in the middle of the night. The manager there was useless. He was the only English speaking person there and he just walks away from people when we request something. We stayed at numerous places in Rosarito area before and this was probably the worst experience we had so far. The staff there were great and that is the only good thing about this place. Stay away. It’s not worth it.

They are houses facing the sea with all the necessary comfort.
Totally Instagrammable and unforgettable views.
We went as a family and we definitely plan to return. We had a great time with the super friendly and helpful staff.
We got an excellent price because they gave us a discounted price because we arrived on weekdays we went for 2 nights and since we had such a good time and we got a good discount for extending our stay to 3 more nights.
It was worth it, totally recommended

This man Almost ruined my wedding! Something mentally wrong with him! He knew the date. My sisters and I stayed there the night before the wedding so we could direct the setup the next day. 1 hour before guests arrived he said, no one is here to set up, they set up yesterday. NO! We were there the day before at 3m to stay the night. There were no chairs or wedding set up at 3:00pm the day before. LIER! We were there! It’s very sad… Could be a BEAUTIFUL place. Too much “goddess” yucky scratchy bedding. Rust/calcium thick around the tub faucets. Only one cleaning lady doesn’t do a good job. Dave was a nice guy, until he started drinking or “whatever”, and almost called the cops to kick us out 10 minutes before my wedding ceremony, all because my sister asked where the chairs are for the ceremony. He wanted more money for one hour I paid $500 already to use a small patch of grass and a gazebo. Paid more for 4 beds the night before. I don’t know why this man went nutZ. My people are nice and simple. No big drinking. Mormons. Simple ceremony. He freaked on my sister because she asked where the chairs are. Said… get out, 10 minutes before the ceremony. OMGOSH!!! Something mentally wrong! Demanded Cash! Thank goodness my sister shoved him in HIS place! We quit quickly had the ceremony, took some pictures at this Beautiful place; and hightailed it out of this horrible person’s beautiful property…. With horrible cleaning.

Casa Playa resort was a great place to stumble across while in Mexico. The facility offers everything on one safe, secure and private location. They even had a private beach for sunset walks. Close to plenty of great restaurants, taco stands, and a weekend outdoor markets. Baja Pig was the overall favorite. Great place to stay with a help staff available 24/7. We look forward to our return.

Special thanks to Ulga and her amazing home cooked meals. Casa Playa was everything we hoped and more.We arrived late in the evening without a reservation which could have been a nightmare. Thankfully Casa Playa had a room available and were kind enough to book us in after 11pm. Not until the next morning did we realized what a beautiful place we’d stumbled upon.

Beautiful rooms, convenient location close to restaurants and shopping. Definitely had the small town feel we were looking for. If you’re looking for a quiet place to regroup and unwind. This is the place. Hard to find all these amenities in an authentic style resort that actually feels like you’re in Mexico and not staying in a remodeled hospital. Strong recommend!

Thanks for another wonderful weekend relaxing on your wonderful property. The private beach, pool, and hot tub overlooking the ocean clearly separates Casa Playa from the rest of the hotels that feel like you never left the US. The staff was wonderful and always available to fulfill your needs. Small town feel with ends ways to stay entertained. This is the only place we stay while in Mexico and you’ll soon know why. Your hospitality is unmatched!

Casa Playa resort in Primo Tapia is an amazing place to relax and unwind. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still close enough for dining out and do a little shopping. Once you arrive at the giant compound you quickly realize all the amenities are designed to relax and unwind a stressed body. From the private beach, swimming pool, hot tub, and helpful 24hr staff ready to meet the needs of each visitor. The only hard thing about Casa Playa is when it comes time to leave.

Thank you!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. We’d reserved a room for three days and ended up staying an extra two. The property is gorgeous. The staff is very helpful. We loved our room. The view of the ocean was stunning, the sound of the waves so soothing. I was in awe seeing how the sun sparkled on the water. It was a nice place to work from - roomy, gorgeous views and good wifi. Our dog was in heaven - playing with the other dogs, huge enclosed grounds to explore. We’ve stayed in or near Rosarito many times at different places. This was our favorite.

We enjoyed the area restaurants and found a few new favorites (shoutout to El Portal and Splash). It was nice to be able to walk to the local restaurants and fun to just walk around the Primo Tapia community. K47 Cafe became our go-to morning spot (best caramel latte I’ve ever had). I found some tasty delicacies at the two local panaderias as well. I even bought some beautiful flowers at the local flower stand. My husband loved this place. He said that he felt as comfortable as if he were at home. I felt like I could have stayed forever.
