We had the best time in Friendly Homestay!!
We arrived after a sleeper bus at 6:30 AM and were greated by the smiley faces of Nam and Nâm 😁
They immediately cleared a room and let us check in so early.
The night we left they let us take a hot shower (even after we checked out) at their homestay and dropped us off at the bus station to our next destination. Not before they gave us some bananas and drinks for the long drive!

Every request was handled with a big smile.
We loved it, thank you Nam!

We spent 3 nights here as a family of 6  (aged 11 to 66) and we all loved it. The location is great. Bicycle hire is 50K vnd per day, roads are quiet and flat, and the scenery is stunning. We visited all the local sights by bicycle.

Nam nam, who speaks great English, gave us a map to help and answered all our questions. Her and her husband are perfect hosts - so kind and friendly and welcoming. They really looked after us and we felt so at home.

The rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds and good quality bedding. The pool and garden is beautiful, especially at night when all the lanterns are lit up.

Breakfast is generous and delicious,  consisting of fresh fruit, a choice of hot drink, a choice of fresh juice, and a choice of about 10 main breakfast dishes (eggs, pancakes, noodles, etc). We started every day with a feast before setting off on our bikes through the paddy fields.

I wish we had been able to stay longer. We will have very happy memories of this place.

This family-run homestay is truly lovely. Each room has a beautiful garden and deckchairs in front to relax (too bad it was raining all the time we were there!). Rooms are very spacious and clean. Location is perfect next to tam coc lake. We rented a pretty good quality scooter for two days. The owners were so welcoming and warm. They were helpful with advice about where to go and when. They cooked excellent breakfasts! It’s clear the family here work very hard! Highly recommend

We stayed here for 2 nights. The owner and host, Nam was warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. The property is in an excellent location a short walk to the main area and there is also plenty of backstreets around to explore. Nam booked a transfer for us back to Hanoi airport (very comfortable mini bus) and she sent us on our way with bottled water and a banana! Breakfast in the morning was chosen from an extensive menu - very fresh and filling. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Room Tip: You can get your washing done but I believe it is washed in the river not via washing machine.

We stayed at Tam Coc Friendly Homestay for the second time. Our first visit was last year. The reason we came back to Tam Coc was firstly to visit the wonderful Homestay and hosts Năm, Nam, Sỏn and Hà and secondly to explore and experience the beauty of Tam Coc again. Năm and family are amazing hosts, that went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Accommodations are spacious and comfortable. Delicious breakfasts and wide range dinner options are served. Motorbikes, bicycles, laundry, local information, bus and train tickets, and car service are available. Family always greets you with hellos and smiles. We highly recommend Tam Coc Friendly Homestay for your stay in Tam Coc. 10+, 5+ star rating. Năm and her family are wonderful!

We had a delightful stay at Tam Coc Friendly Homestay. Nam and Nam and their staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was nothing short of outstanding. Our deluxe bungalow was very large, exceptionally clean, and quiet. The housekeeping is excellent, the gardens are beautifully maintained, the lanterns throughout the garden create a lovely ambiance and the breakfasts were delicious. It is such a charming place to stay. It was nice to have access to bicycles and to the local knowledge of where to go and how to get there. The homestay is within easy walking distance of the charming town that offers wonderful bars and restaurants and to the boats that take you along the rice paddies leading to the caves. I could not recommend this homestay more highly. A 10/10 for sure!

We had such a lovely stay at this home stay! The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and the pool area is so pretty! Nam, the owner, goes the extra mile to sort everything for you including activities, bike rental and transfers to our next destinations. The free breakfast was also delicious and the homestay is really well located! We really enjoyed relaxing by the pool at the end of a hot day too. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This homestay really lives up to its name, Nam and Naam (I’m sure the names are misspelled) were incredibly friendly from start to end of our stay. Nam Speaks well english, and she told us everything we needed to know about the area when we arrived. They served delicious breakfast, we especially liked the pancakes, and the room was clean. The kids loved the pool, and we could enjoy a beer in the evening under the beautiful coloured lamps. A good location too, close to the restaurants but just outside the busy streets. Definately a Place that deserves the highest ratings, Thank you for the good experience

We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed a night longer. Ideal location about 200m from the boats and main street so accessible but quiet.

The biggest welcome, good comms beforehand. Would have loved to use the pool but the weather wasn't great while we were there.

Ample breakfast and snack on checkout for our onward journey.

Have useful info about the sites in the surrounding around.

We stayed in a room with balcony, but probably wouldn't if we returned as the walls were paper thin which affected our sleep.

We were offered a taxi for our site seeing. On hindsight we should have walked to the boats where we could have got it much cheaper.

Highly recommend, great value

Are guests staying in a private home/house or is this a separate buiilding?

There are different room types. Some near the pool, others are in a block. We havd our own room which was in a block of about 6 together over 2 floors. The family were always around to help with any questions but I'm not sure where they actually slept.

Hi, is there any better way to get to your hotel? we will arrive on 23rd September 2018 around 1030pm

Hi! Peter. I got to Ninh Binh by train and have earlier arranged with Tam Coc Friendly Homestay to send a taxi to pick me up at the Ninh Binh train station. Another option would be to call for a Grab. Get a local phone card at the airport when you arrive in Vietnam for around VND200,000 (7 days?) Will definitely come in handy.
