Loved our stay at the Horizon Bungalow! Ana and Tony were the sweetest of hosts, greeting us warmly from the start and giving us detailed advice about where to sight see for the next few days. Hospitality was amazing here- every time we arrived back to the bungalow, we were greeted with warm tea and smiles. There was also a warm herbal/floral foot bath to soak my feet into while hanging out on the patio.

We rented a motorbike from them, very easy and a great price. The room itself was very large, spacious and clean and the bathroom was spotless, with all the toiletries we needed. The room was cleaned daily, and the view from the room was beautiful, with a large mountain and rice fields. Breakfast was amazing and basically an abundant feast, including fresh fruit, eggs, pho bo, etc. We didn’t utilize the pool but would have been a good idea after a long hot day.

The location is wonderful, far enough from the noise of Tam Coc that all you hear are the frogs and birds. It’s a short 10 minute walk, an ever shorter 1-2 minute bike ride into Tam Coc. From there, all the sights weren’t that far (farthest was Hoa Lu, about 15-20mins by moped).

Will recommend this place to anyone that comes to Tam Coc!!!

We stayed at Horizon Bungalows the weekend after COVID restrictions were lifted in Hanoi and had a fantastic time. Nestled into the limestone cliffs, Horizon Bungalows are at the end of a road in the rice fields so there’s no traffic; however it’s only a short walk to the centre of Tam Cốc. Khánh (Tony) and his lovely wife Hà were wonderful hosts who were attentive and looked after us and our children very well. We felt that we had our privacy, but every time we returned from a walk or a ride they were there immediately with a glass of cold water for each of us. We utilised their free bikes to ride up to Tràng An (8km) for a boat ride through caves, and again lto Hang Múa to climb the mountain and visit the cave. Our 8-year old was too small for their bikes, so they quickly found a suitable bike for her, for free, in about five minutes. Within a few hundred metres of the hotel we had passed through a herd of 80 goats, a flock of 200-odd ducks, and a dozen water buffalo! Their pool is clean and sheltered from the hot sun in the afternoons. Their restaurant is literally in a cave in the mountain, which we all found unique and also cooler than being outside. Our bamboo bungalow had great air conditioning and a fridge, as well as an outside (into the cliff) bathroom which was a great bonus. The foot spas are something we thought would be a little decadent and we wouldn’t use, but they insisted and they’re so, so good! WiFi was also free and high-speed. In summary, Horizon offers great value in a great location for exploring the region. We’ll certainly return to Horizon Bungalows for our next visit to Tam Cốc.

This is a quiet gem in walking distance from Tam Coc village and run by the nicest, kindest hosts I have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts are fit for a king& queen, the food at dinner is freshly made from local produce and there are bikes and scooters available every day. The bungalows are spacious and clean with air conditioning and for those wanting tv you will not get it here, however wifi is free and easy. The location, friendliness of the staff, scenery and great food, far outweigh the local river rats and thin walls - bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

I never write reviews but I signed up specifically to write one about this place.

The atmosphere is spectacular as part of the bungalows are located inside a cave. The bungalows are nice, neat and clean. You have beautiful views of the rice fields and mountains. I was living in a post card!

It is run by two families and they are INCREDIBLE!!!! They have bikes for you to ride that are free of charge and every time we returned from a ride, they greeted us with water. At night they gave us tea with ginger and told us we needed a foot bath so we could sleep well. The foot bath is marvelous and smells divine. In the morning, they served us a huge brunch that included eggs, yogurt, pineapple, mango, bread, muffins, pancakes and homemade jelly free of charge.

We loved it so much that we added another day there. They brought so much joy to our hearts and made us feel like family.

I highly recommend you stay here.
We will be back! Until then, you guys will be missed greatly.

Anne and Tony are exceptional hosts..... the location and rooms overlooking the rice fields and cliffs/mountains are spectacular. Anne’s cooking (especially the hot plate dishes) are delicious and authentic... wonderful to use the bikes to get around town and the beautiful landscape. Thank you for arranging a private driver to take us to the ancient capital (Hoa Lu) and Bai Dinh (Temple complex) - thank you for making our stay wonderful!

Ana and her husband are the best hosts ever. Their property is wonderful. The room was kept cool with fruits to eat and a pleasant essential oil aroma just as we checked in.

Their cottages are very spacious, well appointed and they even have a cool outdoor shower underneath the limestone rocks.

The hosts were wztreny helpful guiding us throughout our stay. Intact we had a reservation for only 1 night and moved to another property next door on our 2nd day but continued to hang at the horizon bungalows lounge area even after check out. The hosts personally dropped us to our night bus even when we were no longer staying with them and thoughtfully gave us a goody bag with water and chocolates for our journey.

The property also has a great view.. overlooks a small paddy field with ducks swimming around against a backdrop of huge limestone rocks.

They have a swimming pool and lounge chairs so you may chill and enjoy this view.

The property serves decent food as well

Highly recommend staying here.

Tony and Ann are the best Hosts that I've EVER Encountered. The rooms face a Serene Rice Field and Hill. The bed was comfortable, the room thoughtfully designed with nice amenities. The breakfast was abundant and delicious 😋
I enjoyed riding the free loaner bicycle around the countryside.
And loved being welcomed back in the evening with a Glass of hot cinnamon tea.
The nightly herbal footbath topped off The luxurious experience of being completely tended to. I hope to return here someday.

Lovely family run establishment, wonderful hospitality and experience. We had such a restful time here at Tam Coc horizon bungalow. Thoroughly spoilt with nightly herbal foot baths (helps with restful sleep), breakfast spread with fresh local fruits, home made pineapple jam and eggs. There were zero mosquitoes in the room due to the cleaning team using an eco friendly lemongrass solution to clean the floor. Spectacular view and right next to rice paddy fields. Wonderful part of the world and you will not regret choosing to stay here!

Thisnis one of the .most beautiful places we have stayed at in Vietnam. The location, overlooking the rice fields and stunning karst mountain but inly 700 metres from the town of Tam Coc adds to its exceptional experience.
The bungalows are large, spacious, immaculately clean with large comfortable beds, bathroom (inside and outside shower!), mini fridge, fans, aircon,
Outside there is a porch to sit kn with tables and chairs so eating at your room if you choose is simple.
The restaurant is set in a cave overlooking the pool and rice field and the breakfast is fantastic and huge. Lots of fresh fruit, eggs cooked to your liking, fruit juices, cakes, yoghurt and coffee or tea.
We had spring rolls several times with beer for an afternoon snack and they were delicious.
The special touches set this place apart from others. Everytime we came back from our day out we were greeted with cold juice drinks. Every evening a herbal foot bath was brought to our porch to relax our feet. There are free bicycles available for guests to get around and thw loaction is very cycle friendly.
Anna and her family are so caring and attentive to all their guests. They are truly beautiful people who really want their guests to have every comfort and convenience. I cannot reccomend this place more highly. Do yourself a favour, stsy here when in the Ninh Binh region!

I am so glad we booked with horizon bungalow. It’s location was close enough for a short walk into the city, but far enough to get the rural vibes and ensure a quiet night sleep. Their hospitality was hands down the best I have ever experienced in my travels. We were offered hot tea each time we returned to our room and the nightly foot bath was a welcomed sight.

These guys were so nice and helpful. They can help you arrange everything - and honestly we prefer it this way because it helps out their family (it's usually family members who own the transport business, scooter rental business, etc.), but maybe give them a good heads up. They should reach out via email if they haven't already...
