Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed on a powered site near the water. The short walk to the main beach was great as the swimming area was very welcoming with a great pontoon. The ski boats were near and they certainly were busy and made for a great view. We did several walks around the park as it is very extensive offering all levels of accommodation. The amenities were okay but 2 of the showers needed repair and the shower walls could have been cleaner. There was recycling near the beach but near the camping area there was none. The park was not busy and we were surprised that all the guests were put near or next to one another. Yes the sites are a good size and drive through but several large groups may have been better away from others so they weren’t as concerned about the noise their children were making.

Lots of wild life, good facilities and sites are clean. Tick tick tick. However, when an blue green algae alert happens - customers with children need to be contacted asap so they can make an informed choice about attending a camp where water sports are the main event! Beautiful weather, clean toilets, access to trails and good kids play areas. We will definitely come again but will check with park prior to arrival for water status!

The bungalow was in good shape, spacious, good porch, clean with enough linens & bathroom-kitchen stuff.
Beautiful views all around & nice lake too. Being out of phone networks was a bummer. Only Optus worked.

Love the three isolated cottages way up on the hill of Wyangala waters park. So peaceful. Great for our big family. Scenery is breathtaking. Been going there since 1984. We bring fresh drinking water as tap water is from dam. They supply a 1.25 litre bottled water. Fine when boiled for hot drinks though. Love this place. 🥰

This park is the worst I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay at. We couldn’t find it at all there was no signage to direct us there. People causing noise and disruption all night and nothing done. The park needs to be looked after and the sites need to be made accessible. The road was broken away so there was a ditch we had to get over to even get to the site. I’ll never go back, because the staff were nowhere to be seen and the office was closed most of the time.

We stayed at one of the octagonal cabins at the East end of the park. It was really quiet, great views - as it was winter the heating was welcome and worked well. Hot water was speedy and didn't run out. We stocked up on food at Cowra as (because it was outside school holidays) the office only had limited supplies. Staff were helpful and sorted out minor issues quickly (such as fresh towels, extra blankets, new firelighter). We saw lots of rabbits, wallabies, even a small group of goats, outside our window. We had all facilities in our cabin except for a laundry, (there are two in the park). Generally a nice, peaceful getaway, with all the things we needed without having to leave the park during our week here. Would love to visit again!

We stayed for four nights on a powered site. Quiet park, clean, great facilities, lots of different option available for accommodation. We will try a cabin next time. Take lots of fresh water as there is no freshwater point within the park.

Our visit to Wyangala Water did not match our expectations from the website. There is a general air of deterioration and shabbiness around the camp; the water is unfiltered and a brackish brown but there was no warning about this at the time of booking; you need to take your own bottled water; the amenities were grubby and full of insects.
The actual lake/reservoir makes for a scenic spot but we would not recommend it for an overnight stay.

Absolutely lovely position right near the dam. Situated within a boom gated compound, we felt very safe. The surrounding area and views were lovely. Excellent facilities and clear grassed sites. Amenities were kept very clean. A bonus was to be able to enjoy an open fire.

Lovely scenery, quiet and extremely relaxing. Thought the amenities offered good amenities including dock and covered BBQs. Staff friendly and bins etc emptied regularly. Easy process to book. We caught fish as a bonus and it really is peaceful there. Good value for money for us.
