Just back after a two week all inclusive stay with Tui at this lovely hotel. We were able to check in straight away and then went for breakfast. The room was large, well equipped and very comfortable. Bottles of water and soft drinks were provided in the room on arrival and the bottled water was replenished daily. The large bathroom was well stocked with toiletries, lovely soft towels and had a great walk-in shower and a really deep bath. There was always plenty of hot water. The towels and bedding were changed regularly. The air conditioning was very efficient. Dressing gowns, slippers and flip-flops were also provided. We had a large, private balcony.
In the Seashell restaurant there was an excellent choice of very tasty food ( mainly Asian, but you are in Vietnam ! ) at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is an egg station at breakfast providing omelettes etc. and a pasta station at lunch and dinner to cater for the Italian guests. There was always plenty to choose from and we always found it hot. The red wine and beer we had were very nice and the hardworking staff kept the water glasses topped up. At the Pepper restaurant a large range of BBQ food was available if you fancied a change - no booking required.
In the Pearl Lounge bar there was a good selection of premium branded drinks and some excellent, well made cocktails on offer such as Negroni, Tom Collins, Pina Colada etc. This was a quiet bar which we liked. The Sim beach bar beside the Pepper restaurant was livelier as you were nearer the entertainment. Usually there was a duo playing in the Pepper restaurant. One evening there was a band playing 60s,70s,80s covers, another evening a Vietnamese folk event with dancing, a bonfire on the beach and a crocodile roast !!
There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and grounds, you could always find one and it was easy to find some shade if you wanted it. Sunbeds were also available on the beach which was pristine and regularly cleaned. Beach towels were available from several locations around the huge pool. The lifeguards beside the pool and on the beach always watchful and alert.
The pool was spotless and the attractive grounds were beautifully maintained.
We found ALL the staff in the hotel, the restaurants, the bars and the grounds extremely friendly, helpful and hardworking even though some didn't speak much English ( better than my Vietnamese ! ). Andre, the manager, was very much in evidence around the hotel and grounds making sure everything ran smoothly. He was very friendly and approachable, his staff are a credit to him !
With Tui we did the Highlights and Cable Car tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. Trish, the rep, was friendly and helpful and available when she said she would be.
All in all we had a great holiday in a very comfortable hotel.

The Vinpearl is a beautiful resort ideally located on the beach and only half an hours bus ride from the local night market. So why do I say 4* and not 5* as advertised? Well it's the little things that count. Our room was spacious and comfortable though not cleaned to a standard deserving of a 5* rating. Our bed sheets were eventually changed after being here for 5 days, a green bottle lid has been left on our balcony for the last 4 days (I've left it there to see if it does get picked up), empty glasses have not been removed from our room either. Also there were only 2 plug sockets one of which was under a table and awkward to get to and no drawers for your clothes, only a cupboard with 5 clothe hangers.
I shall go on. I like to have a Bloody Mary occasionally, this was not available, the cocktails they did have, though very nice, did not list the ingredients on the menu so it was trial by error. My wife likes a Baileys of an evening which has always been available (either genuine or local alternative), not so here, you have to pay extra - and it wasn't about the money!
The resort does give an acceptable exchange rate for your pound, but make sure that your notes are in perfect condition otherwise they won't be accepted.
Finally no review would be complete without mention of the food. We stayed in the Ocean Wing, it had the Pepper restaurant which was advertised pretty much everywhere as having an additional charge and needed to be pre-booked. This wasn't the case, no booking required and it was free, we only found this out after being here for 5 days from other guests. The main restaurants were OK, there are 4 different food stations so you could have something different most nights, however, they pretty much always had the same food on offer every night.
Another niggle I had was the cost of any Spa treatment, in Saigon the price varied from around 250,000 Dong to 500,000 Dong, here they were asking 2,000,000 Dong - a little excessive in my opinion.
Overall, if I was to return to Vietnam, which is a beautiful country, I'd be more inclined to stay somewhere else. I booked a 5* resort and expected a 5* experience, I don't feel we got what we paid for. That said we have had a lovely holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return. Just not here.

This is our second visit to Vin Pearl Resort and Spa and we cannot fault it.
On arrival the check in procedure after a very tiring 11 hour flight is so organised and you are encouraged to go straight to breakfast where a fantastic buffet is there to be enjoyed.
The rooms are allocated very quickly some are already available on arrival some you have to wait an hour or two but its no hassle whatsoever.

The resort was just as we remembered the rooms are spacious and clean the beds are very comfortable A good tip is to take a few plastic hangers with you there are only a few in the wardrobe and no drawer space.

The pool area is fantastic no problem with sun beds and plenty of shady areas. There is some erosion happening on the beach which they are trying to reverse I hope they manage to solve.

The food was as before both in the buffet and Peppers it was tasty, varied and very good. The drinks were excellent all premium labels and premium mixers e.g. Schweppes Coke etc.

The staff are excellent from the top to the bottom. The manager is a very nice man very approachable and hands on. They are all very courteous friendly and a credit to the hotel.

I have to give a special mention the evening staff at the Sim bar. Especially the beautiful Duong Trang known to everybody as Jen this girl works non stop delivering drinks to everyone not only does she remember what everybody drinks but she serves them with a big smile. The rest if the team work like clockwork mixing and serving drinks to order. They are all a credit to the resort.

Will we go back? as long as we are healthy enough definitely.

Stayed in January for three weeks. Arrived about 10 am and we were able to check in immediately. Room is very comfortable with a large bathroom (bath and shower) and all the extras you need (hairdryer, shampoo, sewing kit, shoe clean etc). Pool fabulous, large so plenty of space and the use of inflatables if you want to. No issue with sun beds always found one, Nemo restaurant is the buffet style restaurant and we enjoyed the variety of food, especially the noodle soup, sushi and pasta. I am not sure how previous reviewers moaned about not finding anything to eat as there are plenty of options. The service was great and the staff brilliant. Yes the language barrier can sometimes be a problem, but you in Vietnam, give them a chance and we found with a bit of a smile and sign language it always worked. Pepper restaurant which is part of the AI was great, fresh seafood, meat all bbq and as much as you wanted, great waitress service, super staff and a beautiful setting looking out over the ocean. The beach was clean with plenty of sun beds and lifeguards. The bar outside Nemo was great and the staff brilliant a real asset to this hotel as are the staff at the pool bar in the evening. AI drinks were great again, gin, rum, whiskey, cocktails, beer, soft drinks, red and white wine and other options. Overall a great resort, fabulous staff, great beach, ignore the negative reviews and have a great time.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was ready on arrival. We dropped our bags and went strainght in for breakfast. The hotel is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Our room was a good size with king size bed, robes, slippers and flip flops. Only downside is that there are no drawers except in the bedside cabinets, so underwear etc. has to be put on the luggage shelf. Lovely bathroom with good size shower and great toiletries. As well as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel there are toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving kit, sewing kit, loofah and bath crystals. We thought the food was excellent, but would say don't go here if you want burgers, fries and fish and chips! There everything you could want for breakfast with an egg station for every way you would like your egg cooked. Plenty of choice for lunch and dinner and always a roast joint. The beef melted in your mouth. Also a pasta station every evening. The only downside was the choice of desserts didn't vary very much, however there is a chocolate fountain and a choice of ice creams. The staff are lovely, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The pool is the biggest I have ever seem with inflatables if you want to float around doing nothing. Always plenty of pool towels although a couple of times there were no sunbeds available. The usual problem of people getting up at silly o'clock to reserve them then not showing up until the afternoon. The lifeguards are pretty good at moving beds for you and on occasion took towels off reserved beds. Pepper restaurant was great for a change although we were a bit wary of people using the same tongs to pick up raw fish and raw meat. There is no entertainment apart from the duo in Pepper every evening who tried their best.
Away from the hotel there is a lot of building work going on, both large hotels and apartments, so in a couple of years it will probably be like many other destinations, so I would reccomend going now before it is spoiled.

Arrived here on the 18th December for a two week Christmas break it’s about an hour transfer from the airport ,before you go through passport control you have to show your return ticket so be prepared this was a very slow process.Arrived at the vin pearl resort was very impressed checkin was pretty quick, the rooms were not ready on arrival so went straight through for breakfast we were all inclusive so facial recognition is also set up at reception,The restaurants get very busy and can get a little frustrating the food isn’t really suited to the western guests and sometimes the variety is very limited we had children with us and they probably survived on bread.
We did encounter a couple of issues while we were there but these were rectified by Trish the TUI rep .
The hotel is right on the beach which was lovely and the pool was huge there was always sun beds and pool towels available ,it is out of the way and you can get the shuttle bus into the town which takes about 30mins, my only criticism is the bar round the pool the staff spoke very little English and couldn’t understand the basic of drinks and if they couldn’t understand they just blanked you but the staff at night time were fabulous especially duong Trang and Minty nothing was to much trouble .
The room we had was supposed to be for three people it was very cramped very limited space for clothes no drawers to put anything, the sink was continually blocked wasn’t impressed
The fist couple of days seemed a lovely place to chill and relax but after the 24th Dec it was mayhem the hotel just couldn’t cope with the volume of people the seashell and Nemo restaurants were always full we were constantly being told they were full and the food was just dreadful .We did go to the pepper restaurant a couple of times as this is the only restaurant that you can get french fries for the kids .
There is a kids club which is open from 9am -9pm my granddaughter absolutely loved it they did lot of fun things and were kept entertained.
We did have a lovely time here but there is lots to improve especially for the English guests

Arrived early and room was already available, was given wrist band as soon as we arrived and went straight into breakfast.
Breakfast lunch & dinner were all buffet style in the hotel, and were all really great, with so much choice and plenty of seating, so it never felt busy
There is a lovely restaurant near the beach, which is free on the all inclusive, depending on party size is available every night, we used it 3 times on our weeks stay, the set menu changed each day, apart from the main courses which you select your own meat / fish / seafood and they cook it on a griddle and bring it to your table, their was a resident 2 piece group singing all the classics as well, if you fancied a nice boogie.
The pool was huuuuge biggest ive ever seen, could never ever get crowded, and hotel supplied towels, sunbed, inflatables, balls to use, The beach was amazing and the beach bar was heaven during the day, and a great meeting point after dinner.
The rooms were clean and had maid service every day
Overall I could not fault anything at the resort, perhaps it was a bit quiet in the evenings, had nowhere we could walk to outside the hotel and even some of the Russians were polite !!!
Would definitely go back but for 2 weeks, and explore the island more

We have travelled as a family of 3 for 14 days, arriving on Christmas day. This was our second holiday in Phu Quoc and we have found the resort an excellent experience. The hotel has very good facilities, the pool is large and the beach is lovely, with a beautiful view over the sunset. We could always find sunbeds around the pool area at 9 AM. The buffet food was okay, with plenty of choices, although it became a bit repetitive for a 14 days stay, but you could always find something you fancied. We loved the Pepper Restaurant and the staff working there. The Staff at Sim Bar are also very good, especially the evening lady manager, who always knew our favourite drink. Sometimes the service was a bit slow during the day, but since we were on holiday, we would not mind waiting a bit. All the staff at the resort deserve praise, as they are always smiling, polite and hard working. Not all staff speak English, but there is always someone around who can translate or help with any problems.
There are lots of things to do on the Island and we enjoyed the trips to the Cable car, Safari and starfish beach. I would recommend finding a local taxi driver rather than the excursions offered by Tui or other operators at the hotel, as it's much cheaper. It is also cheaper than having the reception staff calling a taxi for you.
We have enjoyed our stay and would recommend the resort. We would definitely come back to this hotel, should we decide to visit Phu Quoc for a third time.

I am totaly impressed and inlove with Vinpearl resort & spa.
Everything is perfect. I've been in many holidays but this place is a real piece of heaven, it is the best by far.
The staff is amazing, they are all friendly, nice, smiling people and they work very hard..
The food is super good in all the restaurants from the resort and our favourite restaurant is The Pepper where you choose any type of fresh seafood and they grill it in front of you.
We have to say a big "Thank you" to our waiter LÊ TIÊN DAT wich took very good care of us making sure our dinner is perfect. He is always smiling, always happy to help and he made us feel special. We are really impressed with LÊ TIÊN DAT.
They are all wonderful people and they made our holiday perfect.
The beach is very clean because the staff is always picking up all the little pebbles making sure the sand is soft and clean. So much attention to all the details...
Well done to everyone.. We will come back for sure in this piece of heaven

Well worth its 5 star rating, the Vinpearl strives to give the guest a friendly and professional experience. Set in and amongst trees aplenty, the layout and maintenance of the grounds and beach area are excellent, staff are always busy keeping the entire hotel complex at a very high level of cleanliness. the food was of a high quality, although another restaurant or two offering a variety of international cuisine would be a bonus. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, indeed the whole hotel is the same, with elegant foyers in both wings. Comfortable sun beds outdoors, with the best towel service we have ever experienced anywhere! Re-stocked throughout the whole day. The vinpearl resort has the theme park, shopping mall, casino and safari park within minutes of each other, with free shuttles constantly running to and from. The hotel also provided free coaches into the local town for day or night markets and picked up from there too. Highly recommended hotel, and plenty to do on the island which I will review separately.
