The privately run and ten-year-old resort is idyllic in the quiet north of the island, away from the hustle and bustle. The very well-rehearsed team is friendly and makes you feel completely comfortable in an unobtrusive way. Our beach bungalow was perfect for four relaxing days – only interrupted by a short trip to a pepper and bee farm. The small, fine menu also offers something for vegans, and everything is freshly prepared in the open kitchen. Also the very rich breakfast was a highlight with homemade bread and jam. If you are looking for paradise, you could find it here.

We arrived for two nights and stayed for the whole week. All the people that work there are exceptionally friendly and you feel yourself almost as you are a part of the family. The breakfast and the restaurant serve very tasty food. The location is amazing: the hotel is on the outskirts of the village so you have privacy and calmness and in case you want to go out and eat something local, you need only 10 minutes to walk. Great beach: in case it is not stormy (as it might be in November) the water is perfectly clear.

Great! Best thing was the view from the restaurant. Amazing view of the ocean all the way to the horizon. Rooms very good, just make sure to keep your door closed in case of harmless flies, but otherwise, very well maintained space with great entrance to the sea outside where you can snorkel and enjoy the amazing natural beauty of the ocean. Loved everything about this place, service amazing, and great atmosphere in the restaurant. 4/5 ⭐️

We had the best experience at Peppercorn. Starting from the kindest staff that are always able to help you or even share with you more about Vietnamese culture. The food is amazing!!! ( I’m still craving the coconut curry ). You can feel that everything is completely fresh and with lots of options even for vegetarian people like me. The drinks are also very good and fresh, you can see how they pick the fruits to make them, so nothing fake or full of sugar. The place is very beautiful and well maintained, everything in the room was completely clean. But what I liked the most it was the sustainable approach they have in everything, like the water bottle to refill from the restaurant to avoid plastic. 100 points for that! In general if you are looking for a piece of paradise to enjoy Phu Quoc, in a relax and cozy way this is your place to go!

This was our fourth trip staying at the Peppercorn. We stayed in the Beach front double room as usual. You can lie in bed and just see sea, sand, and palm trees. The beach is clean, the water was lovely and clear. Gorgeous to swim in. The pool is lovely as well.
Food wise, there is no need to leave the hotel to be honest. Breakfast is fresh fruit, juices, coffees, pancakes, eggs, bacon - you just order what you want. The menu is limited but with something for everyone. They have daily specials, and you can ask for whatever you want as well. Top tip - the chicken noodle soup and tofu noodle soup are delicious.
The team give each room a refillable water bottle which stops single use water bottle plastic waste. We also brought our own bottles for travel anyway. There is a water station in the restaurant which you can access anytime.
The staff really make the hotel so special. They go above and beyond to help with everything and anything. Pointing out places you can visit, shop, walk, they even sent our postcards for us.
We look forward to going back again next year!

What an extraordinary location for a holiday! The resort is magnificent from its beachfront accommodations to its friendly staff, who made sure we had everything needed. Arriving, you will enter an open-air reception area and restaurant with an incredible view of the beach and pool. The food is local, fresh, and delicious! We were happy to have all of our meals there and everything we tried was great! The grounds are beautiful with lovely trees and flowers. We were impressed with every single aspect of the resort! Before we arrived, the owner helped us arrange airport transportation and promptly replied to emails. During our stay, the staff was so helpful and kind, offering ideas for adventure in the nearby village when rain kept us from enjoying the sun, and showing us the popular local sunset spots on the other side of the island. From our room, we saw amazing sunrises! The resort offers bikes, kayaks, a library, board games, a spa, and the cutest dogs and cats! Our room was comfortable and had a nice veranda to sit and enjoy the view. I really appreciated the eco-friendliness of the resort; every detail was so well-thought out and planned. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and can't wait to return to Peppercorn in the near future. Book a room today! You will love it!

An Top no-nonsense place high up in the North I almost forgot about. I am writing this review many years later as I still think this place has a specific charm. Having stayed in the last 8 years in 15 different resorts in PHQ, peppercorn resort idyllic location with the villas at the border of the sea were just awesome. We negotiated with the staff to let a Khmer fishermen pick us up and visit the small inhabited islands up to the border. It was an incredible experience.

Super well maintained complex right on a shallow sloping sandy beach with corals, views of Cambodia, an incredible tranquility and super lovely staff! Food very good and all special requests are met. Especially the houses right by the sea are incredible, you rarely find anything like this! Many thanks to Linh and her team!

The two of us had a lovely time at Peppercorn Beach. First the location on a small stretch of palm-fringed coastline looking out over an aquamarine sea over to Cambodia is perfect. The resort is quiet and relaxing and the accommodation is of good design and comfortable. The sea is clear and warm to swim in. There is a small reef with some good coral and small colourful fish a few yards from shore This is very suitable for snorkelling, which we really enjoyed. In fact we had organised a snorkelling trip to another part of the island but it was no better than at Peppercorn. The food at the restaurant is excellent with freshly cooked ingredients. There are also a few interesting restaurants that we visited in the town of Ganh Dau, within easy walking distance. I used the bicycles on offer a few times. I wanted to cycle to a path within the National Park about 6 miles away. Unfortunately the whole of the National Park has been closed by the Army.
What stands out is the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, particularly Nhan, who went out of his way to help us. Many thanks to him and all of his colleagues.
Highly recommended if you want a comfortable relaxing stay in an idylic location that seems a world away from the monstrous development elsewhere on Phu Quoc.

This is a beach resort where you can go to relax and enjoy the sun and the water. It is a place where you can find a variety of activities to keep you busy, or you can simply relax and enjoy the scenery. Absolute beach front property with such a peaceful atmosphere and with a million dollar view.
We originally booked for one night but after meeting all of the staff and staying one day we extended our stay for a week.
All the staff gave exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making our stay comfortable, we also enjoyed the fresh and delicious food at the restaurant.
The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean and again with a million dollar view.
We will be back with the whole family next time. Peppercorn resort is a must stay in Phu Quoc
Thank you Linh and staff.

Peppercorn itself runs a restaurant and two additional restaurants are located in the small town nearby. You can rent a scouter but there are not more activities nearby beside relaxing on the beautiful beach
A copy of the menu can be found in the restaurant section of the Peppercorn beach website. A can of beer is a little more than US$1 and there’s a reasonable selection of wines starting from around $20 a bottle up to around $45. Cost wise, while street food and local village restaurants are less expensive, however some products in the restaurant are imported like the beef and bacon for hygiene reasons and care is taken in the food preparation which is reflected in the prices. Mains are around $8 to $15, and starters are around $7 to $10. There are plenty of local restaurants in the nearby village now for the budget conscious traveler.
There are more places to choose from in the Ganh Dau area.
