Very nice hotell, with spacious rooms, great service and spectacular view. A must vist if you are in the area. They have big rooms with multiple beds and huts with multiple bedrooms. The hotel also have bar where you can buy soft drinks and beers and jump in the wood fired hot tub outside and enjoy the spectacular view.
A large group of environmental colleagues from the Barents countries gathered for a work shop at this lovely place. We were extremely lucky with blue skies and sun for three days, and northern lights in night. I stayed in the hotel, and rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was not very plentiful, but delicate presented. Dinner served was good, but could have been better served and cooked. The halibut was to dry, and serving coffee cold was not catastrophic, but needs to be in place for top score from my point of view. But it's a place you have to visit!
Only 9 rooms in the hotel building, but they are just fantastic - large and with a breathtaking view to the ocean towards the great Lofoten Islands and mountains. In so called seahouses this small hotel has alltogether 80 beds in 40 rooms. Homemade food from local fish (Halibut), moose and lamb. for lunch I especially liked the home made eggsalad and the "lammerull" made from local lamb. A great service-minded young couple is running the place and doing a great job. The hotel is located by/on the sea and the nature scenery is fantastic with hih, sharp mountains and lots of hiking and climbing oppurtunities. The hotel also rents out bikes and kajakk
We are originally from northern Norway, and came back to the "roots" for a trip down memory lane. The weather was with us, so we wanted to go to the island just a 100 feet from our hotel. Nikolas called a locak guy ( a boatbuilder of the oldschool that we later had the thankful ecperience to visit in his workshop) to rent a small boat to row across. Nikolas offered some cutlery and plates along with a can of coffee, and helped us in anyway to make this exactly what we wanted it to be. Ee fished and grilled the fished we caught out on the island. Later in evening back to the "hotelroom" in main building. 4 bed apartment which would house 4 adults without problem. Just be aware that one have to go trough the one berom to get out or into the bedrom. Late at night we just loved the little bar and a good burger. Breakfast in the morning was exellent and all the surroundings and interiour is of a high class. Would certainly come back to stay, and we recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to Kjerringøy, or even is looking for ONE place to get a summery of what a paradise North of Norway can be. As we say in Norway...LØP OG KJØP…
