We intentionally chose a property outside the madness of Queenstown. Located just a short 15-minute drive from the waterfront of Queenstown, the Sudima offered us spacious comfortable clean rooms with free parking. Service was efficient and friendly. And we enjoyed the convenience of restaurants, a large supermarket, and big stores all around us like Kmart, Briscoes, Kathmandu, Skechers, Warehouse, etc. Highly recommended.

The only thing we could not understand was why the rate of a King-sized bed room would cost more than one with 2 Twin beds (that could sleep 4). My husband and I chose the Twin Beds! :)

Great hotel on the outskirts of Queenstown city. Loved this hotel, staff were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were very nicely furnished and heaps of room. Yes, its not in the city but it was just a $25 Uber ride away and as the hotel is located in a shopping centre the parking was free which if you stayed in town parking is charged $30 upwards with most around the $50 mark. Lots of restaurants and shops located next to the hotel and a Pub with great food is a 5 minute walk away. We found this location to be much easier to get around to area's such as Hayes Lake, Arrowtown and Wanaka to name a few were much easier to drive to as no traffic like coming from the city. Would highly recommend

The house keeping was great, exceptional service.
We stayed in two different rooms during our stay, huge difference in atmosphere. The first room on the second floor was great, incredibly spacious, great shower pressure/temperature and quiet.
The second room we stayed in on the third floor was cramped, the shower pressure was terrible and it was incredibly noisy whenever there was someone in the hallway.

Nice rooms, with comfy beds and a very nice shower. Could take a few leaves out of the hospitality handbook though.
When at 1pm you ate told your rooms are ready ahead of a 3pm check in, you are delighted after your 3:30am start from Melbourne. Followed by a $NZ40 surcharge for an early check in. It is the pettiness of squeezing a little more out of what we would consider overpriced Queenstown accommodation costs (>$NZ300 per night), not many places where you pay that kind of money in a shopping centre, outside of town experience. Please stop being so petty and why don’t the staff welcome you with a where are you from/how was your flight, as well as how was your stay, traditional welcome and departure greeting. It is all about making people feel welcome, and the small things do matter.

We were here at the beginning of our New Zealand adventure, so we were quite tired and hoping for a comfortable bed and pillows! This hotel was excellent in many ways! They were flexible in allowing us to check in an hour early, they offer a selection of types of pillows from which to choose (we both got the feather pillows, which were just like home), there's a low/dim movement censored light in the bathroom for those late night visits, the breakfast was hearty with waffles, eggs, etc. and delicious! It actually gave us an introduction to juicing, as it had a bunch of chopped fruits and veggies to be made into tasty and nutritious juices each morning! We were so sad when we moved on to other accommodations without those features! The location was a short drive to the airport, within walking distance of several shops and restaurants, as well as an interesting activity and cafe called BuzzStop which teaches about bee keeping and honey making. Although it is not in Queenstown itself, it has lovely views and is an easy drive, Uber, or taxi into Qtown.

We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your experience with us was excellent in many ways. We understand how important it is to have a comfortable bed and pillows, especially when you're tired from your travels. The Sudima five mile is in a great location, with a bus stop right outside the front door to get buses into Queenstown centre.

The hotel is walkable from the airport if you have minimal luggage and don’t mind a 15-20 minute walk. We walked from the airport with 2 hand luggage cases and it was fine.

The hotel is right by all of the shops in Frankton and therefore has everything you would need on your doorstep (shops, cafes, supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants).

The room was comfortable and has everything you would want. We were on the second floor and slept really well, there was no noise from other guests etc. it was always nice and quiet. My only feedback would be the room could have been a bit cleaner - it was clean enough but needed a good hoover/bathroom floor clean.

We would definitely stay here again when visiting Queenstown as it’s cheaper than staying in the centre of QT, public transport is easily accessible and the room is comfortable.

I'll start with what we liked (this was our second stay) - friendly and helpful staff, clean amenities, good pressure shower, great location if you want to be just out of the city/close to airport and supermarket/shops etc, and convenient free parking.

However this time we were less impressed by a few things. The beds were way too soft and we didn't find them comfortable at all, same with the pillows and while we appreciate there was a pillow menu, the information on the cards didn't make it easy to select so we just made do but they weren't comfortable. We had a room overlooking the car park with mountain views that was lovely in the morning but due to the lights, it was quite tricky to get a dark room while sleeping as the curtains didn't shut fully. Our sheets were not changed once during our five night stay nor were the beds made properly - at the end of my bed the sheet wasn't tucked in as it couldn't reach. I would have hoped the sheets would have been changed at least once half way through (2 or 3 days in). The air con was not great either - during the night we were way too hot but couldn't turn it down.

We didn't try room service but the menu looked good. I'm not sure we'd stay again though sorry to say.

Group of five of us had Trust the Chef 4 course dinner and were just blown away with the quality of the dishes offered, the unique style of Trent the Chef and his absolute passion for food. Thank you for making us feel so special Trent by taking the time to explain to us what each course included. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful, the wait staff were very attentive, polite and professional. I honestly just can’t fault Podium. I will be back next time I visit Queenstown. 10/10 from all of us!

In a quiet shopping district just out of Queenstown CBD the hotel was central to sightseeing and around the corner from the airport. Choosing to be a Sudima member will get good discounts on food and sightseeing. Really good value as it included full breakfast. Comfortable clean rooms. Service was above and beyond as I booked the stay for the incorrect day and didnt turn up. They tried to contact me but I was out of service. They were very understanding and found me a room for the next night at no extra charge. AAA + from me.

We have stayed in a number of places in Queenstown and Sudima is the ideal family accommodation. Sudima is close to supermarkets, shops and also the Frankton beach BBQ which is free for public use - dinners on the lake are a must do!. The hotel is well run and staff are friendly. Buffet breakfast is fun, with a waffle station for kids including candy. The rooms are nice, air conditioning and toiletries in bathrooms are lovely. Well priced making Queenstown an affordable family trip!
