We booked in here for 4 nights at the advice of a family member and we were not disappointed! What an extraordinary place! The views were breathtaking, the rooms were awesome, the food was unbelievable and the staff were just fantastic! I have never enjoyed...More
An amazing hotel with five-star rooms and views. They have an organic garden where they grow their own fruits and vegetables; they have a very cute toward us garden with baby tortoises they find crossing the road, they nurture and feed them until they are...More
We are visiting from the States and this guest house is one of the best we have been to. The room is very nice and large(scallop). The front desk has been very helpful with reservations at local restaurants. I can not say enough about this...More
My wife and I had a breakaway weekend recently in Hermanus. Due to low season, we were lucky enough to get the sea facing suite for the night. The suite is extremely nice and we could see why they are a five star establishment. Schulphoek...More
Had a wonderful stay in the most beautiful room, scallop. View was magnificently beautiful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We also had a delicious three course dinner. Would surely recommend.

The guesthouse is located in Sandbaai, which is a suburb of Hermanus. The centre of town is around 5 mins drive away. While Sandbaai is less developed and commercial than Hermanus central, it is a safe and charming area. The guesthouse is located on the seafront, and consists of 5 adjoined properties. Once inside and looking over the bay, you will enjoy the spectacular views and tranquility that Schulphoek has to offer. Most guests are foreign and they love to experience the coastal path that starts outside the guesthouse. I would say that if you would prefer to be in the centre of town, or away from the sea front then perhaps Schulphoek isn't for you. But if you're looking to enjoy warm hospitality and an authentic yet luxurious setting, then its the right choice.
