This is one of the best, if not the best BnB I have ever stayed in. Right from the start communicating was easy, questions answered and our special needs considered. The location has been mentioned by many and yes the views are amazing. We had 2 rooms and both had an awesome lookout over the water, a space to sit both inside and out The rooms are newly renovated with beautiful bathrooms, plenty of peace and quiet. Mum was in the upstairs room which had a level entry, whilst mine was in a quiet location beneath and down a few stairs, It was the perfect place after sharing a room for a few nights. Everything has been thought of, easy parking, lovely communal areas including the BBQ outdoor space which had the weather been ideal, I would have utilised more. Dave and Sylvia are the perfect hosts, they took into account the needs we had and were helpful and accomodating. Dave has a wicked sense of humour which was very much enjoyed. Chatting with Sylvia was positively interesting. Their local knowledge is a real boon and we did a lovely tour of the bee sculptures, which we would not have known about otherwise. Breakfasts were perfect with homemade jams and honey from the hives on the property I have stayed in the area quite a few times and this is the perfect spot. Up until now I had not found the perfect property.

It's not surprising to see this place has almost exclusively 5 star reviews! Hosts Dave and Sylvia were very welcoming and friendly and everything down to the smallest detail is accounted for (including very clear signage to find the property at night, wifi and wireless phone charger!!) Rooms are newly renovated, comfortable beds, great heating for winter, home made breakfast and fantastic views. The hosts are more than happy to share their lounge room for a chat but there was no obligation to do so. They also provided great suggestions on things to do and see in the area and I can't recommend their B&B highly enough!

We spent six nights at this wonderful B&B, and cannot say enough lovely things about this B&B. The hosts, Sylvia and Dave, were very responsive to all my emails with questions about trip planning, which we very much appreciated. They provided some great recommendations for places to see, things to do, and hikes that we very much enjoyed. The room we stayed in, Acacia, was located off the lower deck. The bed was comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was recently remodeled, clean, and the room was quiet. There was a small fridge in the room, and just outside our bedroom, was a deck with the most amazing view of the bay and Bruny Island off in the distance. In fact, one night, we had bought some take-away food nearby and enjoyed a dinner overlooking the bay. The sunsets were stunning. And on another evening we were able to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Australis. The photo of the Aurora Australis attached, is our armature picture from a cell phone which does not do it justice, but it was our first Aurora that we have seen. We also enjoyed the wallabies in the yard, as well as the flowers in the garden around the property. The breakfasts filled us up for most of the day, and included on different mornings, eggs, omelets, yogurt, waffles, and an assortment of homemade jams, toast and coffee. We are so appreciative of the lovely hospitality and the warm welcoming hosts, Dave and Sylvia. Thank you so much for six wonderful nights. We so much hope to return some day. One bit of caution when driving from the Hobart airport to the B&B at night - we did see many dead animals, (especially wallabies and possums), on the road that were hit by motorists, so allow extra time when travelling at night, to avoid hitting these lovely animals.

Stayed one night at this property. First off, the views were stunning and can not be adequately captured by the camera. The view overlooking the bay is fantastic. The property is situated on a hill and is very private and quiet. The owners of the property couldn't have been more friendlier and were there to greet us when we arrived. Now the room....the room we stayed in was immaculate. From the furnishings to the quality of the construction everything was top notch. I would say even better than the four seasons and the Ritz. The deck outside our room was spacious and had a fantastic view. It is a perfect place for and evening tea or cocktail. These people really take pride in their place and it shows. The breakfast was perfect and prepared by our hosts. I felt like we visited old friends. Two things to be aware of though. First, the town where the property is located is pretty low-key. There is not much there so if you are looking for any type of partying or night-life, you are not going to find it there. Also, you are basically staying in the home of the hosts. Although you have a large private room and bath, if you care to venture outside your room (which is not necessary) you will be sharing certain areas of their house. Some people may be concerned about this but for us, it was not an issue. In fact, we felt like we were visiting relatives. We visited Australia for 3 weeks and this was one of the best places we stayed. Great value!!

Wow, wow, wow, wowsers! What a comprehensive, glowing report of our property and our offering. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We are super duper happy to read all your positive comments and to learn how much you enjoyed what we offer here. It really is like spending time with new family when we have such appreciative, friendly guests staying, the opportunity to get to know you a little during your visit, and to share all the things we love about the Tasman Peninsula (including the quiet nighttime activities) with you is what makes us enjoy our jobs so much. We are so pleased that we ranked so highly in your "places to stay" list and hope that one day you might return, or at least send your friends and family. Regards Sylvia and Dave

We were astounded when driving up to this place at the views which unfolded and were seen from our room. There were wallabies roaming the gardens too. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming and we very much enjoyed the freshly made bread each morning and selection of home made jams. The room was of the best quality and extremely comfortable. The tea and coffee making things were outside the room which we did not like but that is just a personal thing. It is very convenient if you are visiting Port Arthur. We would definitely recommend this B and B if you are in the area.

To be honest this was our first B&B and it was fantastic! The house and the views are to die for! The room we had was perfectly appointed and set out we could not have asked for more. David and Sylvia are terrific hosts and their attention to detail was superb. Breakfast each day was awesome, as good as any hotel. If you are a fan of B&Bs and you are looking for one near Port Arthur you will not find better. The RSL down the road is fantastic too!
