Do yourself a favour and stay here - the only thing we regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. The location is spectacular, overlooking two bays, and the nearby beach well worth a visit. We stayed in a beautifully appointed room with incredible views; every thing is high quality, fresh and spotless, but simultaneously you are made to feel very much at home and comfortable. Run by lovely, helpful and kind hosts - it was a real highlight of our trip. Breakfast is delicious and Dave even made a poached egg smiley face for my daughter. A gem of a place.

S43°6.718' E147°44.492' White Beach (290 inhabitants) is a cute holiday enclave about 6km southwest of Nubeena. There is a supermarket and a few restaurants in town. The main things to do around Nubeena are swimming and chilling out on nearby White Beach, or fishing from the jetty or foreshore. It is a convenient 15 minutes’ drive to Port Arthur. When we determined that Storm Bay B&B had the best value for money around Port Arthur, we contacted the owners by e-mail and made a direct reservation avoiding the high fees of internet travel agencies. We paid $175 per night.

In February of 2020, we stayed in the Protea room on the lower floor of this guest house. The owners renamed the guesthouse to B&B, because you stay with a family that offers bed and breakfast and it is not a separate house for guests like a self-contained house. The view from the bedroom and private balcony was beautiful. The room had a double bed with electric blanket, which slept excellent, a large bathroom with jacuzzi, television, 5G Wi-Fi reception and heating.

Silvia & David have earned their mark in the hospitality industry. They took over this B&B a couple of years ago. They themselves are enthusiastic travellers and know what a pleasant stay is all about. Every detail is thoroughly addressed, but they excel in the personal though. It starts with their welcome: they know your name, invite you in their home, make you feel comfortable and answer every question. Home away from home.

Breakfast is served at the communal dining table in the kitchen to encourage interaction between guests and hosts. Not for the solitary traveller with earphones hiding behind a smartphone. Breakfast is delicious with homemade bread, eggs & bacon, yoghurt and homemade jam, juice, coffee and tea. Just ask and they will prepare it for you.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Storm Bay B&B. Silvia & David are special hosts. The breakfast was great and the sunset and sunrise was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Wow, last minute decision to stay down this southern area of Tassie turned out to be one of our very best decisions. This brilliant B&B has been created by a lovely couple, Sylvia and Dave, who have thought of every way to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Impeccably clean, incredibly quiet-(zero road noise here), super comfortable bed and room and to top off your stay, the home cooked breakfast is just the thing you need to start your day off exploring Tassie. We stumbled upon this B&B and stayed 2 nights, could have stayed more only we were flying out the next day. Very friendly and accommodating hosts and in true Tassie style, they say goodbye to you as friends. Don’t hesitate to book this accommodation, I guarantee you will not find better. Thank you Sylvia and Dave for your warmth, hospitality and making us feel so welcome in your home, we will most certainly be back.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for 3 nights in March 2021. Sylvia and Dave are the most amazing hosts, taking care of every little detail.

During my stay, I felt totally spoilt and catered too.

The location of the B&B is perched high on a hill with stunning views over the bay in two directions, with the most gorgeous sunset's in full view!

No detail is overlooked. The gardens are just lovely with Sylvia’s mosaic pieces everywhere and Dave’s handy work is also on display around the property.

The personal attention provided by Sylvia and Dave is commendable from making sure that guests are catered to for dinner including recommending local restaurants and booking reservations as well as taking the time to find out what guests are interested in doing and then making recommendations in relation to places to visit in the local area.

Each morning guests wake to the smell of freshly baked bread and are offered homemade fruit and yoghurt bowls along with homemade jams and spreads, freshly cooked hot breakfast or waffles.

The accommodation in terms of cleanliness and comfort was outstanding. You will not be disappointed.

Well done Sylvia and Dave! You have a beautiful home so thank-you for sharing it! I’ll be back!

We finished the Three Cape Hike (which finishes at Port Arthur) and spent that night at Storm Bay bed and breakfast which is about 10kms away. Sylvia and Dave made us feel so welcome and comfortable, opening up their lovely home as if we were family. We bought some meat and salad at the supermarket and cooked it on the barbecue on the stunning deck which takes in the beautiful views of the bay. Afterwards we sat in their lounge with other guests, putting our weary feet up on the reclining couch footrest!
Our room with a balcony was nicely appointed and very comfortable and warm. A lot of thought has gone in to meeting guests' needs so there was nothing wanting. The bathroom was nice, and very clean. There was a bench downstairs near the kitchen with all sorts of things, like lots of different teas and coffees, and freshly cooked cake which you could avail yourself of at any time. You could also purchase a range of "beverages" which was very welcome after four days of trekking!
Breakfast was orange juice; home made yoghurt in a glass layered with poached apricots and muesli; freshly home baked bread; and a cooked breakfast of eggs, tomatoes, bacon and mushrooms. Everything was delicious.
You do need a car to stay here as it is out of town a bit and there is no taxi service in Port Arthur.
If you want to stay in a comfortable and happy home with experienced, generous and kind hosts, who are incredibly professional in their service delivery and philosophy, then this is the place for you. We will come back, we hope, one day.

My partner Clare and I stayed at Storm Bay for two nights as part of our nine day adventure around Tasmania. From the moment that we arrived at the property, we were made to feel extremely welcome by Sylvia and David, a sentiment that carried on for the duration of our stay. The accommodation itself is beautiful; its spotless with great attention to detail including a beautiful breakfast that you receive each morning full of delights such as homemade bread, jam and yoghurt. However, what is most special about this property is the view from it which is nothing short of spectacular. The property sits high up on the hillside offering alternating sea views. We couldn't recommend Storm Bay enough and look forward to returning in the future.

We booked 3 nights at Storm Bay B&B for our first visit to Tasmania and adventures around the Peninsula and Pt Arthur. So glad we chose to stay here, even before we even left home Sylvia and Dave were helpful with tips for hikes, things to do and how to get there.

When we arrived after a rainy trip from Hobart it was so nice to get into our large warm room with lounge seating and a really comfortable extra large bed, big TV, tea and coffee, filtered water, fridge and a lovely bathroom with heated flooring. The view from our room was fantastic out to the surrounding gardens and countryside and coastline, and with extra seating out on the balcony was lovely to sit and watch the sunset with a glass of wine and some nibbles.

Sylvia and Dave could not have been more helpful with tips and ideas for where to visit, places to eat, providing extra glasses or mugs, the microwave in their kitchen to heat things up, home made cakes and treats near the coffee machine in the kitchen, and drinks to buy in the fridge. In the morning the made to order anything you could think of breakfast was amazing, with real coffee and juice, fresh cut fruits and home made yoghurt pots, home made jams, it was a great start to the day.

From our B&B we enjoyed our full day trip to Pt Arthur Historical site (we were there 5 hours), ate at the Lavender Farm and the RSL (very tasty super large meals), drove around the coast, Devils Kitchen and Tasman's Arch, Waterfall Bay Lookout, hiked out to Crescent Bay and Remarkable Cave. McHenry’s distillery and a little art gallery is nearby and unfortunately we didn’t make it there...hopefully next time. Thanks for a great first visit to Tasmania Sylvia and Dave, we look forward to our next one. Janine & Craig

A gorgeous property with amazing water views. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. Hosts, Sylvia and David were warm and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable - it felt like we were staying with old friends. We ordered a bbq pack for dinner - Sylvia’s home made salads were beautiful, only just trumped by the gorgeous view that we had whilst eating our dinner on the deck! The highlight of breakfast was the homemade bread. We didn’t want to leave! We will definitely be back! Thank you Sylvia and David.

What a gem! Look no further if you require accommodation near the historic sites of Port Arthur, the Coal Mines or want to do the Three Capes Walk. Very comfy bed, the rooms spotlessly clean, the welcome warm and the hospitality great. Excellent full breakfast! The gardens were lovely and the views stunning. Highly recommend staying with Sylvia & Dave and advise you book direct to enjoy the addition of a great cooked breakfast.
