This little gem was exceptional! The room, the restaurant, and service were better than almost all of the five star resorts we visited on our trip to Italy. The cost of our room and dinner with a very nice bottle Brunello was less than one nights stay in may other places. The meal was second to none! Big, comfortable family room with great view up in the mountains. The food here was totally delicious, specialising in mushrooms. We'll remember the polenta with ragu for a long time too. We stayed here for a 3-night skiing break. The apartment we had was a bit old and didn't have any type of cooking facility so more like a have a hotel room with a seating area. I am guessing that the apartments/rooms in the main building are more modern and matches the pictures we saw before booking. The owners are very friendly and helpful with what to do and where to go and the restaurant serves lovely. tasty food and very reasonable prices. It's about a 25 minute drive up to the ski area and about 10-15 minutes to the center of Sestola, where you will find several shops, bars and restaurants.

New, modern, nicely decorated room with views from the private balcony and the bathroom across the lovely mountain valley to snow-capped peaks beyond. The owners are delightful folks and the food is deliciously house-made. Though we did not have time to indulge, the large hot tub and the sauna were unexpected bonuses.

Just back from a brilliant weekend at the Locanda Zita. We chose it by chance, and what a lucky discovery it was. We had a room for four, which was huge, clean, and welcoming, with balconies and en-suite. There's a magnificent terrace, for all the guests, with jacuzzi and sauna, where you can look out onto the snow capped Mt. CImone. Magical after a day spent out in the snow.
Vesale is tiny - there's a pretty church, a couple of houses, and the Locanda - which adds to the charm. We had a great meal in the restaurant in the evening, with classic local food, served at very honest prices.
Add to this that the family who run the Locanda (it's been in the same family for generations) are friendly and extremely helpful. We'll definitely be returning.

Our experience at this hotel is absolutely memorable, a perfect combination of comfort and refinement. The atmosphere is welcoming and with attention to the smallest details. Our bedroom was really beautiful and spacious which made our stay truly unforgettable. The icing on the cake was the small terrace with the relaxation area, which can be booked for exclusive use where you can enjoy the spa and a hydromassage tub with a breathtaking view of the mountains.
The restaurant where we had dinner is also worth it as it offers a varied menu. Their specialty is mushrooms and homemade pasta and it was all truly delicious. The staff is really kind and always smiling which made us feel at home.

Excellent mixed starter with mushroom crostini and polenta with meat sauce, the meat sauce was fabulous. Good fried mushrooms. These days I stayed half Inn, unfortunately briefly, at the “Locanda Zita” in Vesale, near Sestola (Modena) and I must say that, from all points of view, I am not only satisfied, but even enthusiastic: spotless and cozy room, very kind and helpful staff, postcard-like surroundings, à la carte dinner (and not the usual, generally shabby, menu with a choice of a couple of dishes) that “you can get there and stop”, given the quality and quantity of courses, including special mention for mushroom dishes and homemade pasta, honest refills for extras (wine and whatnot). Two small notes, which in any case do not affect the overall judgment: in the room there is no mini-bar and I would suggest to make easier (a metal railing?) access to the hot tub with a beautiful view of the valley.
