We stayed here on a Secret Escapes break, room with breakfast for two nights, including evening meal on the first night. It was a bargain. The Inn is beautifully presented. the decor is fresh and clean. The style is quite modern, but reflects well on this old pub. It has very nice bedrooms featuring all amenities. The room was spacious...

We enjoyed our meal at the New Inn. It was across the street from the B&B we stayed at. The decor was tasteful and modern. We were greeted by the bar tender who was friendly. The food was good. We were served by a young women whose service was poor. For example I asked for cracked-black pepper and she brought...

We stayed on Room 3 for two nights booking through Secret Escapes. On arrival the room looked very small, with low ceilings in part, but newly done (it did have double glazing and was nice and warm). Closer inspection revealed poor housekeeping with two used sanitary towels in the bathroom bin and a poorly made bed with none too clean...

This Inn has been here since the mid 18th century, so expect corridors and up and down stairs all over the place. With 19 rooms and some are dog friendly, you have a good range of size and comfort to choose from. The big white building stands out against the rest of the Yorkshire stone village, but it is perfectly...

The positives are that this pub/hotel is in a good location, the public areas and rooms are in good condition having been recently refurbished to a reasonable standard and the village of Clapham is a delight. The poor aspects include the following; All the staff are disengaged and you do not really get the impression that your custom is valued...

Had a 2 night stay and in a superb location for walking up Ingleborough. Rooms recently refurbished but room 14 was very small and with no bedside cabinets even though there was room for 2 small ones. Had one evening meal, not much selection and very expensive with small portions being served. This is Yorkshire not London. The owner and...

We called in for a couple of drinks on our way elsewhere. We had 2 pints of lager, 1 cup of tea and 1 large glass of orange and soda, best part of 15 quid!!. The pub itself is very nice and in a great location for walks up to the cave. The has been renovated to a really good...

Called about 12 ish. Sign outside promised a welcome. Only called for beverages. Solemn barmaid served. Query to teas available greeted with wordless finger pointing to a display of teabags. One smallish cappuccino and one teabag in cup of hot water cost over £6. Underwhelming.

Had a two night weekend break here at the New Inn, What can I say! A real "Diamond in the Dales". From the moment we were greeted to leaving the stay was excellent. The room was very nice, lovely décor, very clean and tidy. A very nice bar area for a relaxing drink. We ate both nights in the restaurant...

Clapham has been a favourite destination for my family for over 50 years. The landscape and scenery are magnificent. Family members have stayed at the New Inn over a very long period but it has never been so good as it is now following an elegant high quality renovation. The quality is consistent. The food is great. The beer is...
