This was an interesting one. There were definitely good things about our two-night stay here, and I'll list them: the rooms were gorgeous, the bed linen, towels etc superb, the food (although a set menu, with no element of choice) was cooked with great integrity, using the best, locally grown ingredients. Monsieur gave excellent advice about which wines to have... More

Bonjour and thank your comment, we are glad to know you appreciated our house. We have to say that normally we serve diner only in room service and not for groups We had accepted served you in our dining room because you said that you were to tired to drive the car and to go to a restaurant. We stayed in this lovely place for one night on our way back from Nice. The charm of the old building has been preserved whilst the addition of modern bathrooms and facilities provide a high level of comfort. The owners are welcoming and charming without being intrusive. The grounds are beautiful and access to indoor and outdoor pools, a jacuzzi,... More

My husband and I stayed three nights at Chateau d'Omiecourt and have never slept so well or felt so relaxed! Rooms are furnished very tastefully and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms were spotless. This beautiful chateau is perfect for those interested in visiting WWl battle sites as my husband, or just to enjoy the French countryside. Pool and spa... More

We recently stayed at this B&B and enjoyed the visit. The chateau is rustic but rooms are comfortable and clean and the owners very hospitable. Only an hour north of CDG off the A1 so easily accessible and well situated to explore Picardy and the Somme region. Very good breakfast selection. An enjoyable weekend location.

Perfect place to celebrate Valentine's Day. Beautiful place with a small travel in the past (room 1900), dinner in the room, nice dishes such as Gien earthenware. And a magnificent Spa with 2 swimmming pools, jacuzzi, sauna and hammam. Warm welcome from the owners. If you want to combine a romantic trip and historical visit (World War 1 memorials), this... This is a wonderful family run B&B near Peronne in The Somme. Having our other hotel cancel at the last minute we scrambled to find somewhere to base ourselves for our visit to the WW1 battlefields in The Somme. Lucky us. We were the only ones there the first night. The breakfasts were superb. I loved the owners homemade yoghurt... More

We were on a mini road trip to Paris from the UK via Holland and wanted to stop in the Somme valley to go to the Peronne war museum. We only booked one night here as we were just passing through but we could easily have stayed a couple of days longer. The chateau is charming and the family hosts... More

We had an excellent one night stay at the chateau but wished we were staying longer. The bedrooms were large, stylish and full of luxury touches. We enjoyed a swim in the indoor, heated pool and a stroll around the grounds. The breakfast was delicious and served in an elegant dining room. Our hosts were friendly and helpful.

This is a perfect place for a car club (or any club) to base themselves. We had safe parking for our vintage cars and it is well located to visit the WW1 battlefield sites. Peronne is well worth a visit as is Pierrefonds which has an amazing chateau. We took over all three gites and 3 rooms in the Chateau.... More

Perfect hosts Dominique and Veronique the breakfast was amazing. The attention to authentic french cusine, detail, presentation, quality and old fashioned house guesting was delightful. It is older accommodation but the renovations are superb, the shower and bath was truly lovely complete with chandelier.. This is also a spa resort however we didn't get time to enjoy this. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The charming, family-owned Chateau d'Omiecourt is set in landscaped, 16-hectare grounds close to the Somme battlefields. The view over a verdant expanse (framed by century-old trees) induces a true sense of tranquillity and relaxation. This magical location is just 15 minutes away from the historic town of Peronne and its nature reserve around the ponds of the river Somme, 45 minutes from Amiens (with its magnificent Gothic cathedral) and Compiegne (with its "Chateau Imperial") and one hour from Paris and Lille. The Chateau d'Omiecourt offers a range of options for leisure breaks or business stopovers, with B&B and two comfortably furnished gites. The Chateau itself can accommodate 12 B&B guests, whereas the separate Ormieux gite can host up to 7 people (or even 11, with the adjoining "Palefrenier" Room). The new "Potager" gite can accommodate up to 6 guests. This is the first (and so far the only) gite in the Somme with a "4 epis" rating from Gites de France. ... more   less
