KARIJINI ECO RETREAT - Designed with the environment in mind - the semi-permanent deluxe eco tents, cabins, campground and facilities incorporate eco friendly practices which ensure environmentally sustainable management of the natural and cultural values of one of the most ancient landscapes on earth. A short walk trail leads directly from the campground into Joffre Gorge - stand at the top and you'll find yourself overwhelmed by this powerful creation of nature. Whether you are camping or 'glamping'(glamorous camping)- the retreat offers the perfect solution for travellers seeking to blend a rugged encounter in the pristine Karijini National Park, with the soft creature comforts that are not traditionally associated with camping. An outback style licensed alfresco restaurant adds glamorous flair to a 'gorgeous' day of trekking whilst the sunset slowly merges with an endless blanket of stars that seem to reflect the timelessness of this place.

This place offers some extra comfort when camping and it is really worth paying extra. The facilities are good and the service is excellent. The restaurant seems to be an issue in many other reviews and no different for us - we wanted to order burgers in a night that had very

Hi mipontal, Thanks for your review. It is fantastic that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are disappointed to hear that you were not 100% on the restaurant because of being too late to order. Hope you will return one day soon though to enjoy more time in the park.

Stayed for two nights and can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences. The eco tents are basic but is all that you need staying out in the bush, the view is phenomenal so well worth the compromise. All staff members are so helpful and knowledgeable and made

Have stayed in the Cabins twice now, Great after a long day of hiking the gorges. Love that its minimal and gets you back to basics! Worth noting that they only have the little car charger points in the cabins so come prepared. The roads in and around the retreat are regularly

Hi, sorry for my delayed response too. We spent 5 night at Karijini and would have stayed another couple just to finish doing all the gorges. We drove up from Perth but if you flew to Tom Price or Newman and hired a car it would be fine. You will need to hire a vehicle that you can take on gravel roads, otherwise you will not be able to get into the Eco Resort. We camped here, it was lovely, I would not hesitate to stay here again. The tents look pretty good if you don't have your own gear. It is close to some of the gorges then you will need to drive to the rest. Whatever you do, it is a lovely place to visit, take the time to relax into it, it is spectacular. No phone or internet signal apart from 15 minutes allowed per day at the visitor centre. Hope this helps a bit. Do it, you won't regret it.

My first preference would be Dayles Gorge where you can easily walk to the waterfall and pool. I found Joffre Falls next best, especially from the east side. Overnight should be in Eco Retreat and leave the tent flaps down so that you can wake up to a stunning sunrise in your glam tent. As it is a honeymoon you won't have to worry about the cold sheets.

No there is not I’m the basic eco tent in which we stayed I believe the whole venue runs on solar power and generators. I’m not sure if the deluxe tents have fridges. You can buy ice from the shop.

Not far at all. There are several toilet and shower blocks all around the site.
