KARIJINI ECO RETREAT - Designed with the environment in mind - the semi-permanent deluxe eco tents, cabins, campground and facilities incorporate eco friendly practices which ensure environmentally sustainable management of the natural and cultural values of one of the most ancient landscapes on earth. A short walk trail leads directly from the campground into Joffre Gorge - stand at the top and you'll find yourself overwhelmed by this powerful creation of nature. Whether you are camping or 'glamping'(glamorous camping)- the retreat offers the perfect solution for travellers seeking to blend a rugged encounter in the pristine Karijini National Park, with the soft creature comforts that are not traditionally associated with camping. An outback style licensed alfresco restaurant adds glamorous flair to a 'gorgeous' day of trekking whilst the sunset slowly merges with an endless blanket of stars that seem to reflect the timelessness of this place.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very enjoyable adventure feeling. The place is stunning. We saw wildlife, had our shower in direct contact with nature...Exquisite! If I may suggest an improvement, it would be great to add a fridge to the tents.

We had a lovely experience in the national park, beautiful places to explore and scenery. Unfortunately our stay at the eco village was very disappointing. The roads were the worst we have ever travelled. The accommodation was underwhelming with no hot water or power. We had to wait for the reception to open in order to get hot water for morning drinks. There were no fly screens around the dining areas and the bbq area. Maps provided by the reception staff were very low quality. We would have enjoyed the experience had we known and prepared for a basic, unpowered campsite, opposed to luxury eco village.

The tents are a great way to make us feel close to nature, especially with strong winds. The site is close to Joffre Gorge, which is very dramatic and was the only one we could access, as the local ranger decided to close the road to Weano etc gorges "just in case" and just as we were driving along it. The food was good and substantial. We were quite surprised that all the young service staff were European backpackers; we had expected the aboriginal business to have local aboriginal staff who could tell us alot about Karijini.

Wilderness camping on the tipping point of excellence and authenticity. The permanent canvas structures are perfectly complemented with very comfortable bedding and rustic bathroom amenities. The restaurant, reception and ground staff were really friendly, courteous and infectiously enthusiastic. We had a great weekend and will be back though-out the wet season.

A great base for all that Karijini National Park has to offer. The layout of campsites really enhances the experience of remoteness, particularly for viewing the dazzling night sky. The expanse of vegetation between the sites also encourages plenty of wildlife. The staff are friendly and professional. The only reason I did not rate it 5 was due to one group of campers being loud party central to 2am, and there being no all hours phone number to call.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of staying at this amazing retreat, the accomodation was outstanding, staff were excellent and the food was perfect all three nights that we stayed. We stayed in the air condition tent and everything about it was perfect, we will definitely be going back.

We have had the most perfect stay in Karijini Eco Retreat. We booked the luxury eco tent. And luxurious it was! We were spoiled from minute one, with an absolute beautfiul tent, with beautiful views, a mini bar that was re-stocked every day, the best restaurant seats and lovely picknick lunches. The staff is amazing! We highly recommend the retreat and the Luxury eco tent.

Being the end of the season meant it was not as busy. ( due to the rainy summer season everything tends to close beginning to late October) The dinners we ate were excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. The ablution block (opposite cabins) was kept clean. Water is scarce so the shower cuts off. You can buy ice to go in the igloo (chilly bin) provided. It is a good place to stay if you do not have your own for camping.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Molly on reception terrific as where the other staff. Tents etc Really good. Food ummm breakfast great, Down side ,dinner limited options no burgers, 2 salads both ummm. Chicken ok but all dinner options over priced. Biggest gripe campers running petrol generators in an eco retreat???? Ever though they have to be off by 8pm.
