We visited the Inn on our family weekend and cannot fault this fabulous place. The food was perfect and the service from Lee and all the staff was first class, nothing was too much trouble. We have visited the Bull every time we are in the area and it's never let us down, if you are looking for true Yorkshire...

Me and my family have been staying in the lodges around the corner from the Bull Inn as we have been doing for the past couple of years and this time we went to the Bull for a family meal and prosecco. We were greeted by the manager Lee, who was fantastic to say the least and very well mannered...

My wife and I visited this pub just to treat ourselves to a lunch out. - we live about 15 miles away. The welcome by the lady as we stepped in the door at 12.30 was cheerful and friendly. There were about ten other lunch customers already seated but there was still ample choice of empty tables. Our order was...

Was promised so much as pub of the year! Was served by disinterested staff with cold food which was bland and in the case of the fish and chips very poor! Was never checked on when eating and when clearing the plates the staff showed little interest in the fact that we were not impressed and just removed items from...

Visited this little village on the way up north. The staff and landlady were very welcoming and the inn has a lovely setting on the banks of the river Ure. We had dinner over the road at The Bruce with was very good the oysters were particularly nice. We had the cheapest bedroom that there was and it was perfectly...

Sorry that our party of 4 adults and 2 teenagers could not rate Yorkshire's Favourite Pub 2016 higher than average. Food was good and service reasonably prompt but our waitress was sullen to the extreme and most unhelpful when asked for advice re dishes or the available beers. Hope she was just filling in for an evening.

I can only assume Yorkshire's Favourite Pub 2016 doesn't need the tourist trade and/or doesn't want families. Looks like a great pub for locals, however our business was clearly not wanted. After a distinctly frosty welcome, we were given menus, but then sat for fully 30 mins for someone to take our order to no avail. Not even a drinks...

We met here, surprising friends for a birthday. Rosie and Steph were fantastic at hiding us and helping us surprise our friends. The food here is absolutely wonderful...especially the giant meringue (so giant we had to share). We spent a lot of time in here and all the team were chatty, warm, welcoming and helpful. Wonderful place and we will...

Stayed here for one night ..thursday... pls note the actual pub is only open 12 - 3pm and 5pm -11ish. So if you arrive at 4pm getting a drink is a bit tricky.. possible, but tricky! Despite this we had a good stay.. nice 'small double' was exactly that... but it was very clean and had everything. Its an old...
