Myself and my wife had fish and chips. The food arrived cold, the fish was grey, obviously frozen. One of the meals had hairs on the food. The chips must be the chepist ever. I ordered the duck and my partner the lamb both medium rare. After much time we were informed there was no duck. So naturally I picked something else which was the same as my partner,lamb. What I actually got was lamb that was tough as old boots,hard to cut and ever harder to chew unless you are perhaps a lion...

We come here on a regular basis ,setting nice and homely staff friendly and efficient .Meals are very nice Patia curry Mmm !! Well done kitchen staff . This is family run hotel and Peter the owner will go out of his way,to make sure everything is right !! Especially my wine !! Cheers Peter love the South African house...

Went with friends for cuppa, scone and chat lovely decor,cosy, compfy seat by the fire. Staff were okay but could brush up on customer service skills. Hasn't put me off as it was a nice place to meet friends.

We had booked two nights from VisitScotland information centres. Unfortunately when we arrived the double room had no top sheet and two single duvets which were told was the Danish style. lovely meal here creamed haggis to start a little like a pate starter, very good. Venison steak was outstanding beautifully cooked with a lovely sauce so I asked for a bread roll to mop it up, lady said they had none, but would I like 'a bit of baguette' I did but a whole one came didn't need all that...

Booked a family birthday meal for 10 people. Excellent choice and great food. V tender steak and Lamb, perfectly cooked. Spot on service. The staff even sang happy birthday to my 80 year old dad! Cant fault this place for a meal.
