We wanted a hotel as a stopover between the Caen ferry and our main holiday destination. This was perfect - good value half board, very comfortable and an excellent meal. The walk down to the river is worth the 10 minute stroll. The beds are comfortable and the service is polite and relaxed.

Second time here on our way down South. Value for money. Secure parking. Room comfortable if bed and bathroom small. Evening meal and breakfast excellent. Steak superb. Nice picturesque village to amble around in the evening. Good stopover.

Simple, comfortable and clean, we spent a good night's sleep here after eating a delicious meal in the restaurant downstairs. This was our second stay. French food is usually grossly over-rated, but the food here was very good.

We stopped here overnight on our way to Southern Spain and on the return journey. We chose it because it was dog friendly, had parking in a secure garage and had good reviews. The rooms are a little dated but are clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good and we had two excellent meals there. Overall...

Pleasant sized room at quieter rear of hotel. Large bath/ shower room. Not advised previously that clients had to telephone for access on Sunday evening to get access code, and collect key from unoccupied reception . OK , but problem if you did not speak French ! Bar across street rang for us and was really helpful... Breakfast was OK,...

We stayed one night en route to Calais from the Pyrenees. Our room was quite simple, but clean and functional. We got two double beds for 80 euros. We were charged 5 euros for our small dog and 5 euros for secure parking, but there is ordinary parking just outside. The rooms have been recently refreshed and have double glazing...

Stopped here for a quick meal on our way to the ferry at Caen. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The prices were good. The ambience was very good and the staff were very good. It was a pity we had to leave to get to the ferry. Next time we will aim for more time. The village also...

We made a booking at Logis de la Barque via booking.com at very short notice when we realised that we weren't going to make our final destination that day because of the appalling weather. Arrived there to find that they did not expect us, and there was no room. No-one actually explained what the problem was. So poor marks because...

Heading to the South-West of France we decided to pull off the A28 just north of Le Mans and found a fantastic hotel, comfortable rooms with a decent shower, secure off road parking and like so many in France, pet friendly! The village was lovely with nice views of the river and some history! We ate in the hotel restaurant...
