We spent 6 nights at L'Aulnaie celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. It was perfect. The house is delightful with beautiful furniture and fittings and there is a lounge area for guests which is great if you're travelling with friends or relatives. The room was really clean and peaceful with very comfortable beds and elegant furniture. The gardens are idylllic...

We stayed here last year 2015 in Spring and it was delightful, Eliane and Michel were lovely hosts and their house and garden is charming. I loved Elianes home made yogurt! It is a lovely part of Normandy and very close to Giverny. V/P

We stayed for two nights. Our room was very well appointed with delightful views over the lovely garden. Michel and Elaine were wonderful hosts who made us feel extremely welcome. Michel kindly booked our tickets for Monet's garden as well as making restaurant reservations for both evenings. The house is in a lovely village, and has a peaceful and pretty...

Warm, welcoming hosts, comfortable beds with lovely linen bedding, delicious breakfasts (especially Eliane's yoghurt), and a beautiful part of France. We are very grateful to Michel and Eliane for making our stay so enjoyable, and for helping us to see the best of the region, including the hosts own garden.

We stayed just for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Walking in the vast gardens was a delight, with so many unusual trees and shrubs, and even tables and chairs strategically placed down by the riverside for quiet contemplation.{you would need to keep a sharp eye on small children} Our room was lovely and the delicious breakfast...

Two B and B rooms in a large renovated house on the edge of a small village. Unbeatable setting presuming you don't want city centre facilities on the doorstep. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Monet room was spotless and very stylish with a small table and chairs and tea-making facilities in the room. Limited headroom in half of...

A beautifully converted farmhouse chambre d'hote with lovely furnishings and facilities in a stunning setting with an extensive garden containing lots of rare and unusual trees and plants and with a stream at the bottom. Use of a lounge with open fire and lots of interesting books to peruse. A delicious breakfast outside if fine, with fresh bread and croissants,...

We had trouble with are train arrival and arrived at night later than planned. They left us keys and instructions and we met them the following morning at breakfast. WE went sight seeing part of that day and...

It's true to say that the weather was perfect during our stay with Eliane and Michel Philippe in their beautifully-converted old farmhouse which, for early April, was miraculous. However, even if the elements had been less cooperative, I am convinced we would have been just as happy, such was the warmth of their welcome and the kindness and generosity of...

We have visited L'Aulnaie during a trip to the Giverny area. Eliane and Michel Philppe, the owners were very welcoming and warmly hosted us. They have two spacious and nicely decorated rooms which provided us a good privacy and comfortable time at their premise. The breakfast was to the point (A' la French style) with fresh baguttes, croissants and confitures...
