Hogsback is a charming little village, about 1500 m up in the Amatola Mountains - not the easiest place to get to, but you won't regret once you get there. Ingrid is a first class host; very comortable accommodation but what crowns it all is the simpy stunning garden: an explosion of colours . Seeing is Believing !!!

Had a great stay with Ingrid. She entertained us with her knowledge of Hogsback. Breakfast was excellent. We left early the next morning, (before a civilised Breakfast time) so she supplied us with a packed breakfast that was equally as good.

We stayed with Ingrid and her two young Ridgebacks for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute: our spacious room with own stoep, the huge, amazing gardens, long talks with Ingrid ( Granny Mouse ) and the breakfast she cooked for us herself. There are quite a few activities offered in Hogsback, but it's as nice to just relax. Word of...

We enjoyed our stay at Granny Mouse House. Ingrid was friendly and accommodating, making a delicious breakfast for us every morning. Our room was comfortable, though we visited in the middle of winter and more carpeting in the entrance way and rugs in the bathrooms wouldn't have gone amiss. We like to sleep late, so the blackout curtains were perfect...

One major thing I liked about the place was where it was situated. Very quiet and peaceful. The mornings were especially beautiful. Ingrid was a great host and recommended some walks to take. One thing though I didn't know was that I was booked into a bnb and not a self catering chalet.

What more can I say, but, WOW!!!! We had such a relaxing time here and the owner, Ingrid, made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we left. Nothing asked was too big or too small, considering we arrived a day too early and she took it in her stride and accommodated us without the blink of...

My fiance and I were looking for a quiet little self-catering cottage the spend the weekend in Hogsback. Granny Mouse was a nice stay - spacious kitchen with everything you need, large shower room and comfortable open plan living and bedroom. We missed the fire place and bath that we've enjoyed in other places when it's so cold and Wintry...

We stayed in the bungalow, a self catering building, surrounded by wildlife in Ingrid's wonderful Garden. It consisted of a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom/lounge, a pourch and an area of garden with a table and chairs. The bed was a standard double and very comfortable with an electric blanket. The kitchen had enough cutlery, plates etc for two, a fridge and...

Good location, just out of the main village but close enough to all the main attractions. Our host and her team were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was comfortable. Our only complaint - but it is rather a showstopper, is in relation to the kitchen. Call me old fashioned but ".... full modern kitchen...." implies that there would be...

we came to stay here and were a little disappointed - Hogsback was great, the walks beautiful and we loved the butterfly bistro and the Edge was fantastic. But the place we stayed at was a little diappointing - our host when asked what was happening during the period we were there suggested we go to the tourist office the...
