Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for 4 nights on business but would never stay here again. It felt like a dodgy hotel, not a Novotel! The walls are paper thin and I could hear other guests (who weren’t even being loud) coming and going from their rooms and talking. I am a very deep sleeper but was continually woken by guests coming and going. I had my room cleaned daily but my used coffee mugs were never taken away and replaced with clean ones, and the bin in my bathroom was not emptied once. The air conditioner was extremely loud and made an awful sound every time it needed to adjust to a cooler setting and it rattled like that until the room cooled down, and would ramp up again when the room warmed up. The only positives were that the front desk staff were very professional and friendly, the shower pressure was good and the bed was ok.

Everything was spotlessly clean, bed were very comfortable. We were provided with milk, tea and coffee. There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. Our room had a bathtub. Parking is underneath, I feel you psy enough for the room without the extra $45 per night to park. 5 min walk to Commbank Stadium.

This hotel is incredibly underwhelming. The rooms are old (like, old) and quite poorly maintained. The bathrooms resemble an early 90’s public hospital bathroom. The small shower bath combo was a real treat.. the tiny piece of glass doesn’t do much to stop the water flooding the bathroom mid-shower and the tiles are that old you can see the screw holes from all of the different positions the soap shelf has been in over the years. Weirdly the smoke detector in the room was covered in a plastic bag.. not sure what that was about. The bar is a very small awkward space. Not a relaxing area to have a post-work drink. On a positive side the staff were great. I was offered an upgrade for my Diamond membership, scary to think my room was considered an upgrade.

My recent stay... - The room was clean, comfortable, a bit sparse, however I was only sleeping there. - Dinner at 350 restaurant, the food was very good, however terribly slow and what appeared to be only one person working in the dining room, seemed not enough staff. - The bar, again one person and when a flood of people arrived, very slow to be served, that is a resourcing issue as well. - Check in and checkout was seamless and very friendly. - Breakfast, excellent, good selection, very on point and friendly staff. Overall, a good stay, however the staff (except the breakfast service) looked tired and stretched, which limits their ability to engage and be a little brighter with their service - that is what I found. Would I rerun? - Yes!

The beds are super comfy and on a business trip that really matters. It's a basic room but that's all it needed to be. But had two queen beds, a slight view and a clean bathroom with a good shower. No mini bar. A few UHT milks and a kettle for tea. Iron and hair dryer. As I say, sufficient. There's a restaurant in house. I didn't dine there but at the middle eastern joint two doors away (see my review of Armani Restaurant Parramatta). The furnishings in the lobby is shabby and needs fixing but I'm sure they know that. The same with some of the fittings in the hallways upstairs and they were extremely dim with poor lighting but hey, not such an issue. I checked out the pool (nice enough but outdoors so too cold for winter. There's a sauna but I didn't check it out. There's a rudimentary gym that I thought I'd get up and have a simple workout in coz it says it's open from 6. But it wasn't open. I could've called but it was all too late. That was a big disappointment for me. The location is good. 10 mins walk to anything business in Parramatta. Lots of food venues to eat at (the general quality is improving but still has further to go, which it will since it's a massive growth area and govt has moved most of its major offices there). There's a full supermarket just two streets away. All very convenient. I'd stay again.

This visit wasn’t a ‘stay’ (though I did stay here two years ago). This visit was for a predinner meal/drink with family prior to seeing a show (Les Mis) at Riverside. Apart from the hotel being in an excellent location to the theatre, I can’t say much else. I made a book an online booking for dinner which I had to change as our attending numbers changed. There wasn’t an email confirmation, I then sent an email (through the Accor system as I am a member), still no response. Then about an hour before our expected arrival at the restaurant I receive a missed call from a staff member, requesting me to call them back. Which I did and my call went unanswered. My family members arrived at hotel, we went to bar. Overpriced and actually out of date (expired) bottles of beer. No happy hour or table service. Staff were pleasant enough, but really…a local bar would of performed better.

We came for a short 2 night stay . We booked the king bed with spar (two levels) thinking the $340 pn it would be lux. The bathroom is need of painting and grouting . There is no light in the bathroom so your in the dark when trying to shower , with crackes in the ceiling and gross grouting it's a let down . The shower arms all fall down and you can't tighten them . We expected the lounge area to be so much more as we had guests etc to come and visit As we have come from interstate . It's a styling disaster. Air-conditioning controller and noise is loud sleeping was a problem The ironing board had to be walked down to reception as it wouldn't stay up ..... wardrobes are a After Thought stubbing your feet at night is common. The place Was not that clean in general The glass table is a trip Hazard at night . The restaurant and bar value for money .... mmm go to the strip . It's better.Don't do the breakfast included . Not with it All in all a 100% disappointed customer

Very disappointing $313 per night for a standard room. The room had a desk but no chair. Fridge 100% empty, not even any water. Couch was dirty and stained. Carpet was stained badly. Desk top was dirty. Bathroom was painted but tiles cracked, edges not cleaned, grouting missing and moldy. Restaurant, only 1 dish for Vegetarians, no taste. Service terrible, had to ask for coffee and was told we shut in 1 hour, I was not planning to take 1 hour to drink an espresso. Definitely would not stay again at this price and this quality. I gambled on the Novotel brand and this was not what I used to expect from Novotel.
