Stayed 3 nights. Booked through the Holiday Inn website at $240 a night (cheapest in the whole of Parramatta). A standard, clean and comfortable hotel room, as expected from an international chain. Really good to have pillows that were labelled firm or soft! Soap/shampoo/moisturiser was in pump bottles -- excellent alternative to small disposable plastic containers or bars of soap. Room overlooked a small park, on the other side of which were residential blocks, so quite quiet. Very good location, about 10 minutes' walk to to train station and Westfield shopping mall and other eateries. On a side street that is not busy. Polite front desk staff, as expected from an international chain.
It was our first time stay at the Holiday Inn, Parramatta. Right from the start, Aki , the GM was quite proactive in providing relevant info on bookings etc. Right from the check-in incl our stay, they have made it memorable. My wife is a vegetarian; Aki went out of his way to accomodate with restrictions on hand. Will be good to have a separate counter for veg/non veg if possible. The staff - Raghu/Preetha/Nigel/Christian/Sarah and few others who were all very helpful during our stay. We hope to come back during our next visit. Will definitely recommend our friends to stay here. The location is quite convenient to the CBD. Continue the good work. You guys rock !
we love Holiday Inn normally and have stayed at this one a couple of years ago this visit wasn’t as great. I had booked a mobility room by accident and we were swapped to a double which was good but the room bathroom was a bit old and tired, the pool also looked a little rough (pebble coat and there were all loose pebbles in the spa & I had to go to reception twice to ask for towels (we gave up and dripped back to the room). I have teens and asked how much for breakfast- $30 ea was too much for a bowl of cocoa pops. Parking was okay at $18 all though I know there is free parking outside (6pm to 8am) overnight. I told them we were IHG members but it meant nothing as we booked through a third party I was told. We do love other Holiday Inn hotels, just this one didn’t feel quite the same.…
I stayed in holiday Inn for 15 days and the manager Aki and his team made me and my 4 year old daughter absolutely comfortable. The service and hospitality is worth praising. Thank you for the comfortable stay and giving us the home environment. 🙂
Reception seemed uninterested whilst dealing with our checkin. Electronic key cards did not work Room smelt poorly No relaxing chairs/sofa to sit in. Only supplied some ottamends Furniture very tied looking Toilet seat did not match toilet bowl and was very loose, which made you feel like you would fall off No local information for restraurants Bed was comfortable though but pillows average Breakfast was above average. For a room promoted as a Premium King Room, it offered very poor value for money. This is only a 2.5 to 3 star hotel at best. This has been the first time I have given such feed back. My previous posts of IHG hotels have been most positive, especially for the Hunter Valley Resort.
