This motel really needs an overhaul. The location is close to Westfield but as it is on the highway it's very noisy so difficult to sleep. The furnishings, bedspreads etc. are straight out of the 80's which is probably why the room was smelly. The bathroom is also very old and had no vanity, just a sink. If another room used their bathroom it was so loud they may as well have been in the our bathroom! I couldn't wait to get out of the room. In addition, as we stayed there for a concert, they raised the price from about $150 per night to $275 which is outrageous for the state of the place. Waste of money!
This motel is ideal for the road tripper, as it is situated on the Great Western Highway and provides free convenient parking on-site. It has all the normal motel comforts at a reasonable price, and is situated close to Westfield, Parramatta Station, and the exciting, multi-ethnic restaurants and bars of Church St.
The Parramatta City Motel is good for location, price and parking but it could do with freshening up. The rooms are large and clean the bed was comfortable but the bathroom was on the small side and my shower was not the best but the staff are friendly so I will definitely stay again.
The only virtue of this place is that it is the only motel in a short distance of Parramatta. Easy walk to the CBD, centrally located. However, the room is basic, the tv didn't work, bed was very ordinary. I must say the staff were very friendly, but all in all, pretty ordinary
Just came back from a 3 days stay at this hotel. Location is really good for shopping at Westfield. Close to train, buses and restaurants. Reception area and services are fair but staff not helpful with attractions or directions in the area. The entire hotel is in dire need of an update. While it is kept fairly clean the rooms are old and worn out. The bathrooms are cramped and smelly with a poor distribution. We had to change rooms - TV was not working in the first room, phone was not working in the second. Beds are sagging, box-spring caster wheels broken. The pool is a concret enclosed area with an uninviting atmosphere and no furniture. Violent screeming and arguments, slamming doors and running on hallways after 10pm and all through midnight, impossible to relax in the evening and a good night sleep. A bar and grill is advertised but impossible to find.…
