The Court house is a very beautiful historic cottage, a quiet place in the Western Cotswold, cosy and comfortable, well equipped and surrounded by woods and meadows, perfect for walking, for example to the "Uley Bury". In the evening, sitting on the sunny terrace, you can hear the sound of the nightingales and other birds. Very friendly and helpfull staff.

My family (two adults, toddler and dog) stayed in Marlings End for a week. The cottage was perfect for our wee family (2 double rooms and single) - it may have felt a touch cramped if there were another couple but otherwise plenty of space for us. Kitchen was newly fitted and there was a separate lounge and dining room....

Owlpen is superb and their web site is a true and fair description. We went there for my 50th birthday and rented all the cottages bar one. 35 of us in total. Firstly, the setting is an English "Shangri La" or the "Land that Time Forgot." Tucked away in a deep valley at the end of the Cotswolds you have...

My girlfriend and I wanted a quiet escape that was within driving distance of local attractions & the rest of the Cotswolds and we sure found it. If you like exploring the countryside on foot or by car this place is a brilliant staging area. This place is absolutely phenomenal. The location is breathtaking, the grounds are huge. Each cottage...

We took over the owlpen estate for a wedding weekend and it was a fantastic! It was great to all be able to stay together, but with enough distance for privacy and own space etc. All cottages are within walking distance of eachother and each have their own quirky features. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful and we used...

We were a party of 30 staying at various houses on the property, all within a short walking distance. Grist Mill has the most ambience & character. Yes, a shower cubicle in one of the bathrooms would be nice but it didn't matter. Yes, the stairs to the top floor are steep but descend carefully, hang onto the rail &...

Just returned home from another wonderful week at Owlpen. This year we stayed at Peters Nest. What a beautiful little cottage that was packed full of charm, a large comfy bed and a log burner. The estate staff were so accommodating and remembered us (or more so Osian our Newfi) from last year. If you want a break from the...

I've now stayed at Owlpen 4 times (both in Peter's Nest and Woodwells). It is the perfect place to get away - an oasis of serenity just 2 hours from London. The estate is stunning, the staff are wonderfully welcoming and each of the cottages is utterly charming. Owlpen is an ideal spot for those seeking to get away alone, for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer holiday cottages in this magical Cotswold valley, which has long been recognised as one of the most romantic places in England. Come and relax in our nine Cotswold holiday cottages which sleep from two to eight guests (38 in total for larger groups). The cottages range from listed buildings and farmhouses to small romantic one-bed woodland retreats and a studio apartment, so there is something for everyone! At the centre of this secluded Cotswold valley is Owlpen Manor house, a medieval manor house which is lived in by the Mander family, and is described as "the loveliest place in England". We manage all of the properties ourselves, and like to feel that our guests are coming to stay with us when they arrive in this perfect corner of the Cotswolds. ... more   less
