Attentive and friendly staff. The 'award winning pies' are outstanding. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Huge bed and generally clean accommodation. Slight disappointment was dirty cup and glass in room, dirty cup and bowl at breakfast-suggestion would be that crockery is checked when it comes out of the dishwasher.

We had a lovely afternoon tea. Staff were all friendly. The breakfasts were good plenty of choice, and the famous pie they serve was wonderful. Room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend a visit. We will return.

We really enjoyed our recent two nights at the Farmers Boy Inn, which is situated in a good location on the A40. Our special offer deal from Boots included afternoon tea, which was a real indulgence on arrival. We also had breakfast and dinner at the inn, sampling a couple of their excellent prize winning pies on the second night!... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding and could not have chosen better. The rooms were spotlessly clean and totally adequate for our needs. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful (even driving us to the wedding venue) and were all so friendly. As for the food, well... More

A very enjoyable stay at this charming Inn. Staff excellent and very accommodating. Food excellent and definitely plentiful. Didn't manage to finish the afternoon tea but we did try our best! Would certainly visit again if we are in the area.

This place was so lovely. I really can't fault the staff in the slightest, they seemed very happy and willing to help!! They definitely make the place!! The pub itself gave a real traditional country pub feel and nice to relax in!!! Very happy to go back, need to try the ugly burger challenge!!!

Stayed here for two nights for my sisters wedding. Lovely place to stay, welcoming staff and an amazing full English breakfast. Beautiful inside the bar, drinks a little pricey but not too bad, room was comfortable and clean. They also have a mini bus service you can hire out for quite cheap. This is better because most taxi companies charge... More

We stayed three nights to explore part of the country we had not really visited. We had a fantastic time with our choice of accomodation hitting the jackpot. The rooms being situated around their own forecourt was great with seats to sit outside. The rooms comfortable and well presented. All the staff were outstanding, caring and helpful. A top class... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
