Stayed here end of December for one night for our wedding anniversary. Very friendly, helpful staff (although not a lot of them so slow service)and a great pub and restaurant with lovely food. However the accommodation wasn't great, the rooms are in a small purpose built building behind the pub, ours was quite cold. Rooms were basic with little space...

Good room, friendly and relaxed. We felt very welcome here. The breakfasts were delicious. We didn't have the opportunity to have a dinner here but the menu looked fantastic. We also had our little dog with us and he was welcomed too.

We have just returned home from an amazing holiday at the fabulous Farmers Boy Inn. Not sure quite where to start when it comes to praising this establishment - the food, the accommodation, the staff, the welcome, one of the best we've received and all in a beautifully quaint setting. We'll definitely be back!

We have been before to eat but this time we stayed overnight after a new year party. Rooms were warm and nicely decorated. Bed was really comfortable although the quilt could do with being bigger. 6ft quilt on a 6ft bed. It didn't stop us having a great night sleep as I am used to fighting SWMBO for a share...

Came across this pub driving in the fog and looking for somewhere to eat. Everyone opted for the pies. What a good choice that was. They are big enough even for the heartiest of of appetites, fantastic quality, lots of flavour, crispy chips and fresh veg. The young women working the bar was a real breath of fresh air. Hard...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
