Lovely manor house set in stately trees. A very minimalist reception area. Some quirky art pieces throughout. Our room was of a generous size with a very comfortable bed.
But here comes the need for the string - it is a very labyrinthine place with stairs going this way and that

Are there walks/things to do nearby?? Easy access walking wise to get to places?
Its set at the edge of a village in a very rural spot. You can walk through the village to a rather nice pub on the other side. Alternatively there are country walks into the hills behind the hotel. If you have a car you can drive into Gloucester or Cheltenham or into the Cotswolds. Prinknash Abbey is close by which has a lovely animal and bird park. Lots of lovely country pubs and restaurants in the area as well
